I didn't like the demo at all, but I hear a lot of people like Toukiden 2. Feels way too floaty for me and the enemies seemed to hit way too little damage. I could sit there spamming attacks and still win, from what I've played.
It may get a lot better in later ranks though.

Maybe? It feels different to play that's for sure. You most likely won't get a traditional MH experience, but that's not necessarily a bad thing.

Is God Eater not on PC? It's got a fairly dreadful story, but the gameplay is great and the music is exceptional.
The Aragami are also fun to fight and nicely designed.

God eater is on PC. I've never played it so I can't say too much about it, but from what I've seen the general design just really doesn't appeal to me.

Toukiden 2 doesn't seem like a bad game, you're likely to enjoy it provided you're not looking for an exact MH clone. Personally I think MH is a lot better though.

I'm this user How's the customization in God Eater? Are there plenty of armor and weapon options to buy/craft/upgrade? That's one of my favorite aspects of MH and it seems like Toukiden has the same kind of thing going.

GE doesn't have armor iirc, it's only cosmetic shit. Weapon customization is there.

Yeah, pretty sure you can. You can also opt to have the headpiece of any armor set not render so you can keep the stats but see the character's face. If you wanted.

How? I've checked and the options are pretty limited.

I meant customisation as in skill options and how you can build your weapons. "Armour" (Clothing, really.) is purely cosmetic in GE, all your skills are placed on your weapon and a few extra slots depending on which GE you're on.

Basically you choose a Shield (Tower, Normal or Buckler), then you choose a Gun Type (Sniper, Shotgun or Blast. Maybe more I don't recall the specific types.) and finally choose a Melee Type (Short Blade, Long Blade, Buster Blade, Boost Hammer or Spear. Again, might've missed 1-2.)
You can then load them up with skills and stuff that you've gathered, along with the built in skills.

There's also stuff like Weapon Arts in Rage Burst (Don't recall the actual name, but think Hunter's Arts/Styles from MHX.) and Predator Styles in Resurrection (Changes up your special Devour attacks and let's you add effects to them.)

The most unique feature is the ability to build bullets, which you can make do a variety of things. Massive meteors, Healing Bullets, Tracking Shots, OP instant death attacks etc.

There's more little titbits (Isn't it tidbits?) of customisation, but they're not as neat.

I think the only thing you can't change is gender? Maybe? Hairstyle is for sure, I think colours and the like apply too.

How much more varied is the combat than the first one? I pirated it and played through the first chapter but dropped it cause I couldn't see the combat being fun for the rest of the game considering how tedious the grind was probably going to be.

I only bothered with GE Burst, but it was a whole lot worse than Toukiden. I don't have the patience nor care enough to try the other GE games.

Nah man I played the demo of Toukiden and Toukiden 2, it was very average.

Plus the two newest GE games fix alot of the older game's problems.

Don't really care, desu. I found everything about GE's style and direction to be fairly abhorrent as well as the gameplay so I doubt it's much of an improvement in that respect. Toukiden is good enough as a novelty on my Vita but I don't need anymore MonHun clones when I've got a 3DS.

That's becuase you have different tastes.
GE is a very solid game, and easily right under MH in the Hunting genre.

By Kekmo's own admission, yes it is an mh clone.

It is better than MH, but unfortunately the multiplayer population on pc is non-existing (By nonexisting i mean LITERALLY zero) and that automatically kills the game for me.

I don't know laddy, vanilla Soul Sacrifice was worse.

Toukiden 2 feels more like Dragon's Dogma than an actual hunting game.

I remember making one that shot in the air, then dove into the ground to shoot out underneath the enemy. That shit was so fucking cool but it was kinda too expensive for the damage dealt, as I was abusing the gravity damage bonus by doing that.

Different keys. The only reason why anybody even made progress was due to having the keys handed to them in the first place.
The new games have new keys and do checks so you can't even play them on earlier firmware without updating.

Borg is fucking easy, it only gets annoying if there is 2 other monsters fucking around at the same time, you can see it's attacks coming from a mile away and then it have to recover, shit's easy.
