Why would Nintendo do something this stupid? The training should have been available before the start of the testfire so people actually know how to play before the server load test begins.
Can somebody help me understand why Splatoon is so popular?
My only experience with the game comes from the last testfire session, but the controls felt imprecise and the matches lasted way too little time to feel any emotional investment in them.
Do I begin to feel invested in it when there's some permanence, or is this game just not for me?

It's different. That's really it. It's not a game focused on killing your opponents (though doing so significantly helps your goal), instead focused on controlling areas of the map with paint. There's nothing else quite like it and it doesn't really scratch the same itch as other fps. If you don't like it, it might just not be for you.

Restart your Switch: Pull it out of the dock, hold the power button on the top-left for a few seconds, select power settings and restart.
So far everyone of my matches has loaded in less than 5 seconds. Much better than earlier.

Man the motion controls are actually pretty doable in dual joycon mode.

Splattershot is so fun. The middles also have the lite tracking feature, so I can tell their general location after firing.
You can't seem to really get into the enemy spawn on Reef, but you can in the Gym.
If anyone was in a match with a splattershot named Nick, that was probably me.

I like the gyro controls, but only for aiming the cursor. I wish I could aim the camera with the stick, but the cursor with gyro, and have 2 independent sensitivity options.

I don't think I waited more than ten seconds to find a match that whole hour.
I started playing at 11 sharp and only managed to play 4 games. Half the time I stayed there waiting for more players other times it would just disconnect.
