Just do the secret weapons thing that the first battlefield did. Stuff that just made it into the war like infrared night vision, jets, the around-the-corner firing barrel for the MP44 etc.

The dildo attachments were never what made the games interesting in the first place. It was a gimmick that got boring by MW2. Dunno why they still include it outside of obligation.

What's gonna make the game actually good or not is solid level design and mechanics. I doubt they will change the mechanics much but if the level design is good, it will work.

An alternate history WWII game could be very unique, the devs just need to take some artistic license and also include things that weren't even in the war, even scrapped designs for vehicles, weapons etc. There's a lot of interesting devices and technology developed during WWII that could make it really fun.
