Pikmin for me.
First video game you have ever beaten
Are you old enough to post here?
holy shit
you missed out on some good video games.
first game i ever beaten was
youtube.com
Pikmin came out in 2001.
Are you saying a 2 year old beat Pikmin?
I was like.. 5 or 6
I beat it around the time the second one came out so I was around 7/8 when I did
Sonic 2 and knuckles
Crash Bandicoot 1
I was 6
Funny thing about that, the first game I actually beat was OoT when I was 6, but that's only because at my daycare, we took 15 minute turns playing the N64, and the guy before me had just beaten Ganondorf. So my turn was escaping the castle and beating Ganon, thus beating the game. I wouldn't even actually play the rest of the game for a few years after that, never got the opportunity, and when I did I learned that Ganondorf was way fucking harder than Ganon
If we're talking about entire game just by myself though, then Pokemon Red version was a few months later
why do I never see educational games in these threads?
I first played SMRPG but didn't beat, but the first game was OoT.
super fucking mario bro
Oldfag here
does Oregon Trail count?
i don't remember. i have a short attention span, so i usually never finish games.
a game i finished recently though was hollow knight. i didn't get the true ending though, 'cause i didn't know i needed 50 extra essence. what a fuckin' dumb design decision.
Sad.
DK 64
Is that the flash porn game from new grounds?
When i was a wee lad used to never finish games, had the megadrive and don't think i finished one game on it but when we jumped to PS1 i finished this on my birthday when all my mates were over, good times
...
YEP
This was a thing when I was about 5-6
that graduated into playing games like this
youtube.com
youtube.com
Either Altered Beast or Twisted Metal. I forget.
I legitimately have no idea what was the first game I beat. I spent most of my years under 10 watching my brother play games, I played the same games but I faffed around a lot, never made it very far, and I wasnt very good. I could definitely beat the fuck out of him in any game today but for some reason I was terrible at games as a kid.
I was always the type of person to pick up a game and never finish it.
Pretty much this. If I had to guess I'd probably be Super Mario World.
Ratchet and Clank 2.
I was 13 and playing vidya since I was like 7.
The idea of actually finishing a game was very new and surprising to me and I didn't know what to do after I beat the game. Like I just beat the final boss expecting there to be more afterwards but, but there was only emptiness.
I also beat Spyro 3, technically, but because I never got 100% as a dumb kid and always had more to do I don't count it.
...
got stuck still never completed it
I have to emulate this
Pokemon Red version when I was five. Pretty impressive since I could barely read and just randomly pushed buttons until I beat the game.
I didn't have many games as a kid.
Probably Super Mario Land on Gameboy.
so you're like 14?
Same, I got stuck at the last dungeon and dropped it when I was like 9 years old.
I loved previous areas medleys ever since.
That was my first game i ever played
That would make him younger than Pikmin, user. Pikmin is like 16 years old
>released in late 2001
>If op played the game as an infant, he'd be 16 now
>If he played it at 5 years old, he'd be 21
>considering the time constraints, I dont think many 5 year olds could beat Pikmin
He's probably at least 23, what year do you think this is?
you're assuming he played this when it came out and completed soon after
he may have completed it yesterday
That's a bit of a stretch
super mario land 2 or pokemon blue
you could literally complete any game yesterday, what even is the point of your argument? My point was assuming he was 14 had absolutely no basis. The only thing that would kind of make sense to say "are you 14 fgt?" to would be to someone who's first completed game was released around 2007 or later.
>Adults can't be shit at video games
Kek. Much to learn, you have.
Man its sad that hes fallen so far but this was my first
I'm 19 anons
The only game I can remember
I got Mario Paint, Super Mario World and Super Mario All-Stars with my first console ever, it was the greatest gaming experience ever in retrospect.
Super Mario World was the first game i ever finished, but i cheated.
nice trips
SM64
I love this game, played it last month, it's still pretty fun
>2/3 of your health gone.
How hard does he fuck you?
...
Slater is not a healthy guy
Either Super Mario 64 or Super Mario World for me, I can never remember which one I beat first since I played both around the same time.
Pikmin was the first I've beaten without using guides.
I cheated a shit ton back then.
