I mean the general consensus I've seen from people that have actually played the game is that it's the best in the series so I don't really give a fuck.
Sup Forums's cared very heavily for them for a long time now. People like to use them as proof that a game is great or shit. Personally I though Persona 5 is the best Persona since Persona 2. Though my favorite Persona is the first followed by Innocent Sin, so I understand why someone may like a game that is mechanically inferior.

To be fair though, that line is very literally translated, hence why it sounds so stilted. The whole "you sexually-harassin' d-bag" thing just sounds really unnatural and stiff in English, and really they should have been a bit more liberal with it to make it flow better while maintaining meaning.

I'm about 13 hours into Persona 5 and I can absolutely say that it's improved on both P3 and P4 in pretty much every way. I actually like the characters, the dungeons are some of the best crafted JRPG dungeons I can think of, the combat is more exciting and dynamic, and the day to day progression has considerably more fun shit to do than before
Yeah, I'm not saying they're perfect either, not by a long shot. but the localization, from what I've seen so far, is a hell of a lot better than Sup Forums gives it credit for.
