Its badly optimised and a shit game all around.
Theres no variety on levels and the boss fights are dump. Only 2 enemy types and the art style is really blatant.

quest mode on genesis gauntlet 4 was better than the 3d gauntlets, you could buy equipment, level up stats, find special items that were required to solve puzzles, things like bouncing shots or floating over teleporters
some of the puzzles were complex, like you would have to position yourself exactly to use a potion to kill a monster but not the generator, which let a different monster spawn and shoot a wall for you

me and a grupp of friends beat this game together. it was a blast. one of them found a way to get easy XP by killing the spider queen boss with potions. we all went in max lvl at the final boss and beat it easy.
its sad something like this will never happen again but i was happy to have been there.
