Its a "I'll claim nobody played this so I can get attention from literally everyone that did" episode.
I hate reruns.
...
>that putrid pile of garbage
>best horror game
>best anything
Shit taste.
fuck you too
No way
Even by horror fame standards its clunky as fuck. Its shit.
Only men with true taste can enjoy the Siren series.
The only ones who hate it are plebs who suck at horror games.
>too poor to afford ps4 but still have my ps3
Guess I'll give it a shot, thanks for reminding me this exists.
Literally never heard of this game/series. Anyone mind to give a quick rundown?
inb4 bogpill
Is the game actually spooky? I can deal with clunky gameplay
I remember PlayStation home had a theme park thing for this game years ago
Oh you mean Siren 2 right?
The better Siren game right?
I read the word rundown and immediately thought of that, lol

See for yourself of course YouTube can't compare to actually playing the game.
Stealth Horror series made by the director of the first Silent Hill game
Crazy cults in spooky japanland, weird shit, sightjacking, and sirens
Context please, this is making me uncomfortable as fuck and I love it.
Will the EU version of 2 run on my hacked NTSC PS2?
Siren 2 never got released outside of Japan and Europe unfortunately, here's hoping for PS2-PS4 or a Siren collection.
Demon girl seduces dweeb and lures him into demon lair so it can summon crazy shit

Goddamn no one on jew tube seems to play with the Japanese voices!
Emulation works fine m8
Shame Toyama gave up horror to make inFamous with waifus.
God fucking damn.
I know user but still BC is the most streamlined of the series,i'm still pissed Sony fucked Toyama over by making it digital only in NA in a time when digital was a very dirty word.
Is it episodic? I remember playing a demo or something and it was very cool, clunky but in a charming way that reminded me of playing PS2 games as a youngster.
Pretty much all of the gameplay streamlining improvements came from 2, but yeah I agree with you on Sony fucking over Toyama shit sucks mayne
It's episodic, about 15 eurobucks for everything IIRC
Or he could get the retail release for much cheaper.
The Siren games were way too hard for their own good.
>git good
Its a horror game, repeating the same 20 times takes away all the horror, it just becomes frustrating.
They could have been amazing games but they were just way too hard. Also you can never actually kill enemies and you can't really explore with an enemy chasing you all the time. For every good thing in this game and there are a lot, you find a really bad thing that destroys the tension and atmosphere, and the bad things are all design related.
I loved it until the WTF IS GOING ON final battle.
fuck yeah man I liked it so much I imported a copy from yurop
I hated the ending of Blood Curse. Its dumb as shit and makes no sense. the main survivor comes back to the village and starts killing monsters while playing rock and roll music with his guitar jumping around like a ninja it brough the whole game down. That stupid shit belongs in a DMC game not in Siren.
Are you talking specifically the first game?
Because I could understand that even though I feel most of its difficulty comes from the tediously slow crouch walking speed, but 2/BC aren't really radically difficult until the last few levels
didnĀ“t he said that he wanted to scare us once again?
I have the original on PS4.
The voice acting is pretty damn terrible, holy shit.
The only reason I know that game exists is because it was on Tokyo Encounter once.
>last gen
Compared to the PS2 days, we were really starving for good survival horror games during 7th gen, but there are several superior horror games.
>condemned
>dead space
With Alien Isolation, The Evil Within, and RE7, survival horror games have finally found their niche again and I hope Sony makes a new Siren game.
>finally play as the loli
>Her chapter is the shortest
>playing evil within on ps4
an obscure slideshow
He said a while back (This was a little while before GR2 was revealed, iirc) that he'd like to maybe go back to horror, but doing horror games in today's climate and making them work economically is very difficult.
He since said to Famitsu a couple of months ago that after GR2, Project Siren would be working on a new IP, which would be more action-adventure, not dissimilar to GR.
>post yfw you get a rifle and headshot every motherfucking shibito
I bought this when it released in the states. It was only available digitally and I remember it taking more than 9GB of hard drive space, which was a fuckton for a console game in 2008.
Siren 1 > Forbidden Siren 2 > Blood Curse.
Fuck that Hospital stage and that nurse scared the shit out of me.
Its amazing how one minute your scared for life thinking everyone's going to fuck you up.
But the second you get a gun suddenly you feel like fucking Rambo and I loved it.
Siren 1 definitely has the best
atmosphere/tone/level design but got damn does Siren 2's quality of life gameplay improvements make it hard to go back to the first
nope
BC>FS2>S1
how can i play siren 2 if i live in NA ?
This so hard. Siren is a great idea wrapped in a pile of shit after shit after shit after shit.
Emulation/hacked PS2
Hes trapped there forever tho
is the game worth it ?
It's actually the worst horror game I've played. I mean it's definitely spooky, but by the 3rd level (the one where you play as the dude with the gun and go into the flooded village) it just got unbearably frustrating and I got more pissed off than scared.
If you like Stealth and or Survival Horror games then yes
Is the best way to get into Fatal Frame by playing the OG Xbox ports of the first two games?
One would hope it gets the treatment that the original Siren got e.g. trophies on PS4, etc.
I disagree.
