i only recently realized that this was in reference to bioware

Is it better to install TSLRCM through the workshop or downloading from DeadlyStream?

I used the workshop and I've had no issues with it

The only issue with the workshop is stacking mods that alter the same file, IIRC workshop mods will overwrite each other (if they alter the same file) and so only one of those mods will work. If you're not going to do very many other mods you're probably fine. High level force powers isn't on workshop though and I consider that required.

I cannot force you to listen to reason, only hope that you will grow past these infantile delusions of right and wrong

Obligatory.

If you make all of your followers jedi, during the cutscene where they attempt to confront kreia (and attack one at a time for some reason instead of all at the same time) you can see a few of those assassin guys loaded in the background. I'm not sure if they're meant to be there, their placement leads me to believe it's a mistake.

How successful was Kotor 2 financially?

DELET

>ONE DAY THE EXILE WILL HELP ME BECOME A PRETZEL

fucking slays me

What's the highest strength you can get with a min/maxed build? I've only played through this once and I ended up with 56 wisdom unbuffed on my consular. I'd like to play the game again but I'm a giant faggot and I need to see high numbers to have fun.

The Malachor cutscenes are a mess, even with TSLRCM. There was a mod in the works to improve them, but the author gave up

I just got to the academy in my current run, is there actually any difference if I pick to go to Trayus Prison/Proving Grounds or did they never actually implement that? I found some cages in the prison which I assume were supposed to hold my party members but they were empty.

You can find your party, but I'm pretty sure they're actually in the proving ground for some reason. But you can clear both of them.

In reality will we ever see another character as well written and complex as Kreia? Given how shitty wrpgs have been going in the last 5-10 years I'd say thats highly unlikely.

Oh okay I'll backtrack and collect them. Her dialogue in the cutscene implies that it's an important choice, but like the rest of Malachor I just chalked that up to the game not being finished.

...

What the fuck

The first time I got to see the restored Dantooine confrontation I got chills, that shit is incredible.

>There is no great revelation, no great secret. There is only you

You were blinded
>AND AT LAST YOU SAW
Gets me every time

>Exile lost his connection to the Force through the chain reaction caused by all the deaths at Malachor
>Kreia had her connection severed by both Nihilus and Sion pooling their powers together
I know the Exile regained some form of Force sensitivity through the bonds he shared with his companions, but what about Kreia? How did she recover her powers?

I think that's why she stuck around with you, so that she could hop in on your power leeching weirdness and ride that back to the top

Her bond with the exile, and then Sion/Nihilus dying.

Through the exile I believe.

I think its implied that Nihlus and Sion didn't completely sever her from the force

Question guys, if the abomination that is SWTOR never happened(ima be honest imperial agent story was actually neat, Alexander freed did an outstanding job) and KOTOR 3 was released by Bioware in like 2011 it probably would've been a mediocre 7.2/10 game, right?

That reminds me, when Kreia says "indignities", that means she got raped, right? They raped her?

It's heavily implied that Sion raped her, yes

Kreia isn't well written. She's obnoxiously shoved in the player's face at every opportunity as Chris Avellone's pretentious, cock blocking mouth piece.

A Terrible donut steel if ever I saw one.

Why did Mira enter the jekjekt'arr?

That's all that is said though. Indignities. Is it really implied?

What order to you guys visit the planets? Is there a "correct" order?

Onderon and shouldn't be done last and Korriban shouldn't be done first imo

Nowhere near enough to warrant a third game, but they did profit. If it was released any later, the game might have been better but who knows how it would have sold in the constantly fluctuating market.

I think it's recommended to do Dantooine/Nar Shada first and Korriban last.

Nar Shadaa>Onderon>Dantooine>Koriban is the most logical order for the plot I think.

She used "indignities" in a sexual context in another scene, if I'm not mistaken. I doubt Sion's dick still works, though

And that was my followup question, does Sion have a working dick? Does Nihilus have a physical body at all?

Right? He was a mess physically. Maybe he just sodomized her.

>space jeez
every time

>TFW I can normally only play through games once if they're too long.

I sometimes try a second time and eventually just stop somewhere. Wish I could play through KotOR 2 again completely.

reminder

What? She's in TORtanic?

Heavily hinted that shes the dark entity in the inquisitor storyline. Needless to say butchered, like revan and exile.

it's the Warrior storyline, and the only thing really implying it is a codex entry saying she nearly wiped out the Jedi Order.

I doubt he even has enough blood in his body to muster an erection

>Does Nihilus have a physical body at all?
Yes, if we go by what Visas says after he's defeated and she looks upon his corpse. There was some made-up bullshit in an EU comic about him binding his spirit to an armor to keep himself alive

Bao-Dur, best companion.

>mfw hearing his voice for the first time

ICK!

I fought on Malachor V you know
I was alongside the general
I was there

he was the OG asmr creator

>some made-up bullshit
user it's all made-up bullshit

Greatest voice ever.

Never really understood her goal. Did she want to destroy the force because she was robbed of it or because she thought that it's existence would only cause more war and suffering?

Yes, but the comic in question was made by a completely different author who had no involvement in KotOR2's writing whatsoever. He just showed Nihilus for fanservice and made up some background story for him

she wanted to free the galaxy from the chains of fate

>Kotor 3 will never get made.

his voice was straight garbage, he sounded permanently unsure of every action he chose, even when he was mad

She wanted to cultivate the Exile into the perfect representation of her teachings. Threatening to destroy the Force was just a ruse to get him to come to Malachor and face his demons

>mfw I could hear Canderous say "weak"

She wanted a new kind of morality for the Force, because the existing ones were such shit. I think that the line at the end about wanting to destroy the Force was an artifact of the rushed timeline, that it got left in from an earlier draft, because nothing else she says suggests she wants to destroy the Force. I think (and here I'm speculating) she explored that option and created Nihilus out of that idea, but then realized why it was a mistake: because the Force is life.
She really wants to affirm life, in the face of the life-denial of both the Jedi and the Sith. This is to say, she's Nietzsche.

Good

Have you not seen modern Bioware?

>not liking the human teakettle
utter dogshit taste

>big bad is literally Nihilism
pretty much

muh bounty
I called dibs
muh unwritten rules

What exactly is her teachings then? Don't let the force guide your actions, rather, make your own decisions regardless of the force and just use it as a tool for your own means?

She spends the entire game trying to turn you into an Ubermenche

She rejected the teachings of the Jedi and the Sith, but she's not superman, one with the power to create morals. She thinks the Exile might be superman, and she wants the Exile to realize that potential (if it exists). So she wants the Exile to reject the old dogmas without falling to nihilism or despair---she wants the Exile to be what Sion and Nihilus, and Atris and the Jedi Masters, and even herself, were not.

That's actually pretty neat. I watch a Star Wars YouTube channel (I'm not a huge Star Wars fan but anything deep and sprawling lore I will spend way too much time on) and one of the rumoured reasons for Luke bailing and Kylo turning to the Dark Side is that the Jedi teachings have been heavily corrupted and are nothing like what they originally were. In the prequel trilogy they were a fucking disaster so it makes sense to canonically fix that.

Kreia could be the precursor to Luke and Kylo, she'd actually ft the new canon quite well if the rumour is true.

What developer would even be worthy in this day and age? I can only think of the Poles and Obsidian.

>he sounded permanently unsure of every action he chose
He has PTSD from activating a super weapon that annihilated 2 fleets.

>Obsidian
not anymore

Disciple was the only lackluster teammate in that game.

just love triangle fodder for femExile

Everything about KotOR 2 was so delicious from a lore perspective. To put true shades of gray on the force and the jedi, on the whole galaxy, was refreshing from the good/evil mentality.

And Kreia was one of the best written antagonists ever.

ᴳᶫᵃᵈ ʸᵒᵘ ᵗʰᶦᶰᵏ ˢᵒ ᵍᵉᶰᵉʳᵃᶫ

Yeah, Tyranny was really second-rate

>there will never be a proper explanation for what she was doing and why

She wanted to kill the force. The Exile was a black hole for the force. She wanted to exacerbate that black hole. It didn't work, but she loves the Exile all the same for what she was.

>show that we can overcome nihilism
that's where he was wrong.

All of this. Literally all god tier RPG studios have gone to hell. Maybe if Obsidian pull their shit together who knows. Pointless talking about it though - SWTOR pretty much made it so new kotor games never happen.

>mfw Visas tells you how she feels about you near the end of the game

All these years and I never knew a love that pure existed.

CDPR could do it in 10 years

Kelly Hu's voice was fantastic.

CDPR Star Wars game set in the Old Republic era where you play as a Bounty Hunter with a crew filled with all kinds of alien scum W H E N

Her teachings didn't really point toward this though until the very end. She always wanted you to manipulate people for some reason but then berated you regardless of your choice.

Standard future extended universe had Luke being appropriately grey long before The Marketing Awakens presented its ugly head to the world.

cdpr are literally the highest tier rpg devs for me right now even doe they made 1 game and 2 expansions but do squatting slavs know how to make star wars games?

dont know how i feel about no force centric story in old republic era - i guess if its something like the imperial agent story could work.

>they made 1 game and 2 expansions
wot

Nietzsche wanted to regain the vitality of philosophy, and ultimately he didn't really succeed at that, since philosophers are content to while away their time with obscurity about God and essences and logic and formal language and the rest. On the other hand, I've found that most existential crises are really a sort of dissonance between various incompatible things people want to be true. Nihilism is only "inevitable" if you simultaneously believe in and reject meaning, since if meaning lacks meaning then there's no sense in which anything is meaningless.
That's not what Nietzsche thought, obviously, because he still wanted to live the dream.

she wanted you to break out of the black/white morality and consider the long-term effects of your actions

cue plot point where you find out you're force sensitive but instead of joining the jedi you use your powers to help you with your bounty hunting

ehh witcher 2 was good but nowhere near the god status of 3 + expansions

But why would she care about that at all? She just wanted you to kill the force.

and in doing so she wanted to free the galaxy from the black/white morality imposed by the Force

the scene with illusive man after blowing up the collector base is god tier

>Harbinger's coming, you can either step aside or fall in line but you will not get in my way

you're in the wrong thread, friend

fuck wrong thread

Wouldn't that follow if the force died?

reminder that swtor made the chances of any more old republic games = 0%
