Spoilers will be bound in this thread so tread lightly
So if I understand things correctly >Drakengard Ending E goes into Nier >White Chlorination Syndrome wipes out most of humanity >Project Gestalt enacted to separate human souls from their bodies >androids created to watch over Gestalts and Replicants and guide them together when WCS goes away >Replicant bodies are created from Gestalt information >Replicants gain consciousness which makes their corresponding Gestalts go berserk; berserk Gestalts also cause Black Scrawl on corresponding Replicants >Nier kills the Shadowlord which makes all Gestalts go crazy sooner or later which will cause Black Scrawl sooner or later >humanity dies out 800 years after Nier >androids fuck around for 3200 years discriminating on Devola and Popola models >aliens invade; they create "evolving" machines to fight the war for them >androids somehow convince other androids humans are still alive but on the brink of extinction >machines wipe out aliens thousands of years later >androids perpetuating the war to give meaning to other androids
Mason Roberts
Yep.
Nolan Mitchell
Pretty much.
Machines are also perpetuating the war to cultivate their own evolution. Neither side actually wants to win the war.
Joshua Parker
> watched the videos on youtube > read the summary somewhere > paste Go play the games faggot, you know nothing about the games
Nathaniel Parker
The aliens didn't create machines to fight the war for them, they created them after the image of Emil to fight him, cause his clones were pushing their shit in.
Andrew Rivera
What?
Hunter Morales
play the game nerd, that user is right, when emil tells his story he is showed fightin aliens no machines
Daniel Anderson
Emil didn't fight at all in Nier, how did he suddenly become powerful?
Kevin Sullivan
Why is A2's hair long again at the end?
Charles Rivera
...
Charles Sanders
>super powered weapon created for the soul purpose of fighting >surprised when it fights
??
Hudson Cooper
If 2B, 9S, and A2's memories and bodies are restored at the end of the game, and the machines are gone, what will they do now?
Leo Martin
pof pof
Caleb Kelly
>Emil didn't fight at all in Nier
wot
Adrian Howard
SHOPPING!
Levi Reyes
>like no replies
dead fanbase
Jaxson King
It's a wig. You also get it after beating one of the main endings.
Alexander Foster
Threesome. Shopping for T-Shirts. Fishing.
Samuel Hall
does anyone have a snapshot of the final thank you after ending E?
Liam Morris
Oh God I need this healing Come on Japan let's see the doujins
Joseph Nguyen
What kind of t-shirts exactly?
Nathan Richardson
Ones that are too big are best.
Jeremiah Brooks
He and his sister were experiments and they fused. Plus, it's implied that Emil by himself was already 1000+ years old during the events of Nier.
Jackson Bailey
About ending e I see anons saying it's looping everything over again because the pods are rebuilding A2, 2B, 9S but how could that happen with the space base destroyed?
Zachary Stewart
Emil is a literal superweapon, he's strong as fuck. A better question is if any of the androids know about Emil and how he is essentially the closest thing to a real human, not a Replicant either.
Brody Gomez
It's not looping, anons are being retarded. Machines are dead now, yorha is no more, it's just 2B, 9S, A2, and the resistance now.
Hudson Sullivan
I think it's more about how there is a chance that due to the nature of androids and machines, everything will repeat itself, but then again there's also a chance it won't
Josiah Reyes
Emil's weapon does say that the Machines restart, but there's no indication that YoRHa restarts too. And it also confirms that 2B is still around 500 years in the future.
Juan Scott
So did the replicants take part of the ayylmao war alongside with androids and emil for a while? Or the ayylmao comes after replicants extinct as well.
I didn't pay attention to the time on that detail
Daniel Diaz
It's not looping, the loop was that 9S would eventually discover the truth and 2B (2E) would have to kill him. People are talking it like it's some magical Dark Souls cycle though.
It's more that everything may turn to shit and end in death again, it could happen, could not. There's no guaranteed happy future, but there might be.
Liam Anderson
The Replicants were gone by that point. All remnants of humanity were gone around 800 years after Nier ended. Emil was the only one who fought the aliens.
Lucas Johnson
I think they were extinct already since the aliens attacked at around 5k AD
Jayden Robinson
Add to that Emil got weaker after losing his body and got even weaker after the cloning.
Tyler Cook
what i dont get is how could the androids exist is they were created to protect humanity, but were also created with machine cores? the machines didnt show up until the aliens did and by then humanity was already extinct.
Benjamin Barnes
There's androids that aren't made with machine cores. Only YoRHa units are made with them.
Owen Mitchell
Only YoRHa are made with machine cores. They were made by the other proper Androids to be disposable, so they thought it would be inhumane to give them real AI cores.
Hunter Torres
The original androids created in Project Gestalt made YoRHa androids using machine cores.
James Roberts
Wrong. They're not the ones that created YoRHa. You made it sound as if Devola and Popola did it, which isn't true.
The ones that created YoRHa are higher up androids which might be the Committee mentioned in Gestalt report 11.
Thomas Nguyen
What the fuck did the Androids think when 85million Emil appeared.
Also why don't the androids know magic? D&P in Neir did.
Ryder Ward
>tfw 100% complete.
Feels empty. I hope Taro doesn't quit after this.
Ayden James
I feel like I have a good grasp of the game, except for the part where Adam and Eve are born. So some random colony of desert machines just decided to put their power together and give "birth" to these super-powerful human-machines?
Christopher Wood
>playing with 9s >do the amnesia mission >turns our red head android killed her friend >turns out its her job and shes done it numerous times >ominous chanting music starts playing >9S has never ehard of an "E" type >ask 2b and she says some things are better left unknown
>after wards head down to Flooded city area >see golden robot again and hes back for revenge >fucker is flying around like hes fucking iron man >kill the fucker >tells me how he planned to die and how 9s and 2B killed all of his family and left him alone >9S pod tells him humans acted in a similar manner and how that sort of revenge was justifiable >9S thinks its absurd at first, but then begins to think and ponder what hes done >Last thing he says is "And......I" >ominous music starts playing again after 9S relisese what hes done >remember reading the 9s always begins to learn the truth OHHHH SHIT! He's beginning to relize whats he's doing.
Ethan Wilson
What do I actually get for giving up my data in ending E
Christopher Parker
They do. The Pods are using magic.
Wyatt Ramirez
Probably because they were able to harness the Shadowlord as a source of maso and were able to create the grimoires, hence why the "new" Devola and Popola can't use magic.
Aiden Gutierrez
>random colony of desert machines
my dude they're connected to the network.
James Kelly
>The Pods are using magic
No they're not. The pods specifically refer to what Emil uses as "magic from the old world" implying that what pods have isn't magic. You wouldn't call the NFCS magic either. It's mechanical, not magical.
Ian Foster
New start screen.
Also what I dont get is
Why does Maso kill humans in Nier world, but doesn't kill humans in Drakengard world?
David Watson
Are replicants androids?
Connor Flores
N2 chose to do so, not just the machines. They found that they could learn about hate through Adam since 2B and 9S were slaughtering machines. They also could learn about dependency on others through Eve since 2E needed 9S to have someone to execute.
Cooper Martinez
No. Play the first game. It explains what replicants are.
Isaac Powell
No they're clones. I'm actually not sure if anything differentiates them from standard sci-fi clones other than name.
Jace Lopez
Go absolutely insane fairly fast, because they have no purpose, no plan for the future, but still have programming built into them.
Like 2B loved 9S, and yet she killed him over and over again instead of disobeying a command from superiors that she had no personal attachment to.
If nothing else, they'd definitely get the logic virus eventually.
Caleb Wilson
>Like 2B loved 9S, and yet she killed him over and over again instead of disobeying a command from superiors that she had no personal attachment to. Because if she didn't kill them, they'd both be considered deserters and hunted down by someone else. At least by obeying, she found a way to always stay by his side.
Jaxon Powell
Maso's more like a building block for magic, and they're trying to administer it for a specific purpose and with a specific way.
I'm sure if you injected magic into humans of the Drakengard world without any spirits to have a pact with to supply/control it, the results would be equally terrible. It's why humans generally can't use magic in the first place unless they have a spirit pact.
Aaron Allen
You become one of the helpers for other people dowing Ending E. You also get a new title screen.
Nathaniel Jenkins
Caim could use magic before his pact, though.
Easton Gonzalez
9S is a machine that doesnt need a purpose. He could probably easily take out the live for humans thing.
Or maybe DOORS IN THE DESSERT.
Plus consider Accord (who okay we can't be sure when or who built her) who's main purpose was fulfilled but her copies seem fine.
Caleb Bell
Who exactly is "God" and why does he want to kill all humans?
Asher Rivera
Lalalalalalalala.
Lalalalalalala.
Dylan Bailey
Magic and maso most likely have Angels (Watchers) as source. You can see magic and a lot of other things being comprised of and showing the angelic alphabet. Circles creating magic in the first Nier or the black scrawl show the angelic alphabet. Boss names and Tower Units do as well.
Easton Allen
9S is a good boy dindu nuffin.
Cooper Taylor
Well yeah. Maso is particles of the Queen Beast. The Pod programs also sparkle Angelic letters.
Jaxon Lee
Magic straight up doesnt exist in Nier's world, it's a foreign element, it's likely comparable to being hypersensitive to some extraterrestrial antogens, many of which could potentially put one into a state of anaphylaxis
Alexander Roberts
I think it's strange no one considered cloning humans or having human DNA stored somewhere as a contingency. You'd think you would want to have as many back up plans as possible in case your original plan goes to shit.
Joshua Jones
It's literally stored on the moon.
John Russell
They're bodies created with the purpose of being shells for gestalts
They developed conciousness later as opposed to being born or starting with it
Robert Walker
They do have DNA and Gestalt information on the Moon. But would that turn out any differently from the first time they tried it?
Leo Lee
>weaker
are you sure? I only remember it being stated that his memories get fragmented as he clones himself.
Ryan Carter
I thought they did. And then it got fucked up somehow and lost and then they had to save the replicant/clone genomes and send it to the moon at some point.
Grayson Jackson
There are gods in DoD universe
They cease to exist in one of the endings for DoD2, along with dragons
Joshua Morgan
Short answer yes with an if, long answer no with a but
Leo Watson
The Watchers could just fuck it all up again. Maybe storing the human genome on the moon was the best they could do.
Angel Gomez
There's only one God. They changed it to multiple gods in the NA version to avoid pissing off fundies. Watchers are Angels. Also >DoD2 >canon
Ethan Roberts
Oh was God the voice telling Emil to kill himself?
Robert Adams
the Devola and Popola series is unrelated to that. A group of unnamed androids (dubbed here as the "Android Illuminati") established the council of humanity and project YoRHa.
Devola and Popola from Nier were to 'blame' for what happened to humans and thus the entire series was held in contempt for their actions. We're not sure how many are left but every Devola and Popola pair left had their memories wiped, made to believe they're the only ones left while the rest were scrapped, and reprogrammed to feel continuous guilt for what happened with Project Gestalt (which they don't even remember)
The ones in Automata managed to launch the replicant server to the moon which the android illuminati used as fuel for their lie saying humans escaped their.
Jack Jenkins
Maybe androids are better suited for the Nier world than humans. Maybe humans are better for DoD.
Brody Thompson
Are the last story bits for the Cruel Arrogance and Virtuous Dignity referring to young and old Nier? It's weird because neither of them are in Nier.
Julian Foster
>the moon Engels says Earth is tidally locked for centuries
Chase Evans
I feel stupid, could someone explain this scene to me?
James Diaz
Also God doesn't die. The interchangeable refer to the watchers and other creations of God as gods, but it's only them that die.
Nolan Scott
Death would be the best option for poor Emil anyways, in a non edgy way. He is the most tragic character in the Taroverse imo, as his suffering will never end, no matter what happens.
Aiden Hall
2B put her data into the sword.
Landon Young
Replicants are essentially human clones but for some reason they're infertile until made 'whole' with their gestalt. And if the Gestalt dies the system stops making Replicants for some reason, even though ti doesn't have to since ending E of Nier mentions the replicant system started up again despite the utter failure of it.
Angel Garcia
Ah fuck, the sword that is now firmly lodged in his stomach. Thanks user.
Aaron Ward
Cruel Arrogance's weapon story reminds me of Three.
Levi Thompson
actually further onto that if the gestalt relapses/dies the current iterations of the replicants get the black plague and die too.
So yeah, somehow the Gestalt is intrinsically linked to their Replicant for reasons even if technically that same replicant can exist in multiple iterations at the same time (it's implied through Replicant's version of the Recycled Vessel DLC that a Nier is his own father)
Henry Reyes
>black plague
James Johnson
Maybe Accord should just kidnap some humans from DoD and put them in the Nier World. As far we know those humans are immune to WCS. Everyone wins. Well except thebhorribky confused humans. But hey the Andrioids will do Anything for you ANYTHING (except send you back)
Joseph Bell
The machines are not gone.
Matthew Torres
God is Taro.
Connor Long
This was something I wish was more touched upon. Engels casually mentions how he wishes to see stars but can't because the Earth isn't rotating anymore. What the fuck is up with that?
Justin Cruz
Black scrawl, whatever. It's not even really a disease, just a reaction to relapse.
Isaac Watson
A2 impales him with 2Bs sword as he impales her, he writhes about in agony while she dies quietly.
So basically, it's still 2B who finally kills him in the end. Honestly, D ending and choosing to stay is the worst feeling.
Easton Butler
just let the old humans die. The clones can just be themselves.
Eli Gomez
One day, you too will releize what you have done
Sebastian Bell
Replicants cannot reproduce, its the reason why the extinction happens.
Luis Sanchez
Oh...hey! There you are... I'm so glad...I got to see you all again...
Owen Scott
What are the goddesses in DoD like Furiae and Angelus originally called in Japanese? Is it transcribed as god/goddess as well?
Aiden Lee
Angelus is just 'Angel', Furiae is 'disgusting incest slut'.
