I don't like Resident Evil, but I enjoyed RE4.
Is RE6 good? I don't care if the game is spooky or not.

Might as well play 5 and 6. They are cheap now, and they're reasonable action games.
If you play it as a shooter, it's a decent TPS. Play it unarmed and with melee only and you've got yourself one of the best 3d brawlers in a long time. Combat in RE6 is incredibly deep and combo-centric.
6 is fucking awesome, and one of the best TPS shooters around - especially on higher difficulties.
one of the better coop TPS
RE5 and 6 are pretty underrated
I had loads of fun with 6. That said, turn off the quicktime events.
...it doesn't actually turn them off, but makes them impossible to fail.
If you don't like the old school REs then you'll enjoy RE6. Great combat, really fun with a pal and it's pretty curahzey. However, be warned that the first 10 min of Leon's campaign is absolute fucking dogshit. It gets much better after that.
You might consider playing Revelations 1 and 2 as well, by the way.
anyone remember FatCocks?
5 and 6 are better than 7 at least.
Someone post cool RE6 gifs/webms

Make one out of this
6 is pretty weak honestly, it has none of the soul or fun of RE4. The gameplay is worse as well, too generic. Play 5 if you haven't, it's basically 4-lite
>Onsokumaru
Both 5 and 6 are good, especially for Mercs.
Massive fucking tits.

This doesn't apply to the humour, style and atmosphere, but deadspace 1 and 2 are the sequels to re4 that re5 just didn't live up to for me.
Haven't played 3 though.
RE6 is mechanically competent but the actual game design is a mess. If you don't mind the idea of playing a brainless, big budget action movie then I guess it might be cool. Just know that it makes the insistence of trying to be an action game and a horror game at the same time, resulting in a myriad of small issues that add up to try and hamper your enjoyment at almost every turn. If you're interested then I'd say get it on the cheap and reel in your expectations.

worst shotgun ever and punishing system for playing well (aiming for certain parts)
The only reason i might try it out once is because John Carpenter said he really liked it after dissing bioshock infinite in an interview at age 100.
The fact that it features certain horrific morphing aliums on an icy planet was probably a big part in this, but still gave me a more positive vibe to give it a whirl sometime. Weaponcrafting and asymmetric co-op seemed interesting, guess i'll have to ignore the story.

Look, I haven't read the thread.
I love Resident Evil 6. I've bought it 3 timed (PS3 midnight launch/PC/Xbone when they had it $10 last week for local splitscreen).
It's fast paced and fun, great combat system, beautiful cutscenes, Co op that doesn't drag the game in single player and even has a few original ideas.
It has a wealth of content that all feels polished, nothing feels like filler, it's rare for a game to be something like 30 hours long but endlessly repayable but RE6 nails it.
The narrative is "luckily 7 redeemed the shitfest that is 6!", but I don't see it.
6 is AAA overbugeting pushed to its a comical limits, a globe trotting feature packed explosion fest.
7 is a smaller scale more intimate experience that is equally excellent, they are both masterpieces to me.
And this counts the other way too, Resident Evil 7 isn't bad because it's "only 10 hours long" and 6 isn't bad because "Co op has no place in RE" or some such nonsense.
Tldr I like it.

I feel you mate I'm replaying 6 right now, and it's the bomb
fuck off ashley and sherry trying to corrupt me with their fat, slutty lewd tits
I agree.
I played 6 years after release, so I didn't have to be burdened by its one truly glaring issue of all of those instant death coop QTEs in the main story. It was a blast from beginning to end, enemies felt threatening despite your character's far superior mobility and combat ability, the campaigns had a lot of variety and the Mercs mode was a good challenge.
I didn't really feel RE7 because while the content itself was pretty good, its base gameplay was like the originals in the bad ways. Specifically how despite your movement being stupidly slow and stiff, you can still outmaneuver crazy monsters, because they too are pathetically easy to avoid despite the tight quarters.
You can't resist.
I like the smooth gameplay in 6, but the level design ruins it.
You run from one bland encounter to the next, and nothing will ever form a well paced progression. There's all kinds of gimmicks that come and go, but it all manages to be absolutely forgettable. The levels seem to be formed by stitching together random pieces developed by different teams
yes I can!
I will NEVER fap to sherry or ashley

The gameplay of RE6 is really good, but the game itself is not good. The story is shit, the level design is awful, the pacing is all over the place, and none of the characters are likeable.
Mercenaries is a jolly good time, though. Play that.
There's nothing quite like RE4 out there, the encounter design is just not similar at all.
So, 4/5/6 for $20 or 4/5/6/Rev1/Rev2 (and most dlc for all games) for $50?
Sale is over so maybe during summer
n-no! I will never!
Pretty good.
Did she get a ballistics upgrade?

So why do fan arts make Ashley so fat?
Heavy ordnance to go with her ballistics.
