Sup Sup Forums can you rate my desktop build all up $1,887.44

Currency is aud

Needs more poptarts.

Get rid of the terabyte 7200 hdd, instead get a 120 gb ssd as system (and game installation) and a 500 sata hdd for data (movies, music, whatever else there is).
Also if you graka is tooo weak for 4k and too powerful for 1080 so if you play 1080 and not 4k you could even save a buck by downgrading your card. 4k is not worth it on non 4k monitors (lol) even down sampled while amazing isnt worth it and wont work with that card most of the time anyway ..at least not in acceptably fps.

>gamer motherboard
Complete trash, just scrap it and go to the PC building general on Sup Forums and read the pastebin.

You can get an equivalent motherboard for half the price.

Also, get 16GB of RAM.

Don't get Black HDDs, they're pointless, just get a Blue.

Not op but, what's the best card for a 1080p/144hz monitor?

>no SSD
>750w psu
>8gb of ram in current year
>$300 mobo

Even the $400 CAD build I did for my sister has an SSD

1070 or AMDs equivalent if you want something kind of cheaper.
You could probably get 144fps on modern games with a 1060 6gb if you set everything to low/medium, games are unoptimised as shit nowadays so you're better off just spending the extra cash for a 1070.

I get the others but whats wrong with 750w psu i really want to know?

>and the reason im asking is because i will make adjustments

1070 seems a little bit more future proof. What about I5 7600k vs I7 7700k?

You wont be reaching anywhere near 750w, you're spending extra money for no reason.

So is 650W a better choice also i will oc it

It depends what you'll be using your PC for. If you're only going to be gaming an i5 7600k will be excellent but if you want to do video editing and other CPU intensive stuff an i7 will be better. If you want to go future proof as possible, go for the i7 7700k I guess, more games are starting to use hyperthreading so it may be a good investment

It's not a bad PUS, at least. So many people go for cheap ones and 700w+ and they die in a year. I don't see the problem with getting that one and saving 50 dollars just to get a lower wattage one. But then again, I'm not poor. I would just get the 750.

Mainly gaming, movies/shows and might go back to programming.
Wantto have a great pc and play most things on ultra/very high 1080/144. No hairworks or stupid things like that.
I think the I7 is $150 extra and I have 2000 as budget (usa) but I need everything except for the ssd

The motherboard is too much. Expensive motherboards are literally only flair/name brand + extra pci slots. You're not running sli, or anything other than a graphics card so the extra slots do nothing for you. I piss money away with how much I make and even I wouldn't spend twice as much on a motherboard as I should.

Get a SSD. Even something 60 GB just to put Windows on. It makes a world of difference.

Double down on RAM. We're starting to get to the point where 16 vs 8 is actually making a difference.

Also, why the fuck is your graphics card so expensive? 1070s should be like 400 - 500 bucks tops.

>i5
Enjoy your bottleneck
>8 GB RAM
Enjoy upgrading to 16 in a year whining about muh optimization
>no SSD
Enjoy waiting around forever to boot/launch shit/load games
>dat overpriced gaymur mb
Enjoy paying 50% more for no reason aside from annoying RGB lights

Ok i will get a cheaper mother board also the price is in aud not us ill also grab the 16 gb also is this a good psu for my build

...

>1070 or AMDs equivalent
>AMDs equivalent
haha

That psu is fine. When looking for a mobo, all you need to look for, with what you bought, is to make sure you have 4 slots for ram, make sure the socket type matches your cpu, a good bios to overclock, and you have at least 2 6 gb/s sata slots for your hard drives. Everything else is just fluff. (more pci slots, GAYMAN COOLING, etc)

If you overclock you definitely should look for a decent (8 + 1/8 + 2 minimum) VRM setup.
Getting a decent integrated sound card also doesn't hurt.
