MTG still have a stronger presence globally than Shadowverse, by far. Call me when Shadowverse will actually have a meaningful presence overseas; until then I'll play other games.

I stopped playing in the 1st month of the Daria expansion due to school and clearing out my backlog and now I feel like I can't catch up

I do play it but I got extremely bored of the metagame

Meanwhile in eternal there's a shit load of good and varied decks with only one pack set in the game and it's still only in beta

But it's such a hassle in real life

I find the rotation concept in a digital CCG where I can never sell my cards and they expect me to shell out massive amounts for adventures and packs every few months to be unacceptable

I really don't see how people think hearthstone is jewish. Like obviously it's too much at this point for a new player, but I haven't paid any money since gvg.

Just doing daily quests is enough to get every card, I already have 5k saved since there were only like 3 legendaries to craft in gadgetzan

I wouldnt terribly mind spending money on Hearthstone, but even at the most economical pack, it still doesnt get to be less than a dollar a pack.
Also, it would annoy me how my cards would be rotated out of standard eventually.

You answered your own question. Hearthstone (to an extent) encourages new players to shill out a few bucks for packs so they're not stuck with shit cards.

That's only on ladder which is a shitshow.

High level play only sees three decks with acceptable winrates.

I'm sure shadowverse is going to do the same thing at one point, every card game dose this. Rotating is healthy and freshes things up after a while. If they didn't rotate cards out then the same decks will forever rule the meta game because every expansion will just make them stronger and stronger. While it sucks it's for the better. My only request is that they make it so you get extra dust from disenchanting cards going into wild.

Without rotation you can't keep a tcg alive. Every new card has to compete with others for deck slots. Imagine how broken cards in shadowverse would become if you have five years of expansions and no rotation

All of this card art is so hit or miss. Some of these look really great and that artist probably spent an incredible amount of time on each detail. Then some weeb fag spits out a loli he drew on a napkin in 30 minutes and it's shuffled into the deck with all the good art. Every anime girl has atrocious card art. I feel bad for the actual good artists having to put up with the founder's autistic cousin who keeps shitting out these weeb sketches with long ears.
