What went right/wrong?
What went right/wrong?
Atmosphere and choices were right.
Rest was garbage.
max went extremely right
SFM went right
You mean the one actual choice in this "game"
comfy atmosphere
cringy charaters/lines
really fucked up with that ending
it was cute
Good music, especially the last one being played at the ending.. Interesting themes and characters. Sad and touching ending, especially if you sacrifice Chloe, which I think is the good and right choice.
Some of the dialogue is weird. Should've worked more on lipsynching and facial expressions. Plenty of plotholes.
I hear a TV show is coming. Looking forward to that.
Wrong: Kate's storyline was rushed and butchered the devs clearly didn't give a shit post-Ep1 and focused on Chloe instead
Right: everything else I guess just a solid game
Right: peekvids.com
Wrong: Everything else
I agree about Kate. I also think that Warren should've gotten a little bit more focus and development, especially the relation between him and Max. There was something between them, but it was never fully explored. Warren came off too much as a reliable and nice guy who hovers dangerously close to the friend zone.
There was a little too much focus on Chloe. I have something mixed thoughts on her. Sacrifice a rebellious, mischievous, selfish bitch to save a town? Easy choice.
Wrong: Writers have no idea how to write and then intentionally tanked their own game to spite a youtuber out of a childish hissy fit
Right: Main character's attractive I guess
>intentionally tanked their own game to spite a youtuber out of a childish hissy fit
wut?
she cute lemme smash
Quality of each episode varied. It was clear that they made later ones in response to fan reactions instead of sticking with whatever their idea was. I would of liked to see more time power related puzzles. Overall it was nice to play a modern adventure game without knowing it was going to go all telltale.
They should have made Chloe more likable. She was too much of a immature cunt.
Lead writer found out Broteampill would stream his game and make fun by taking a drink every time awful writing or cringey dialogue came up so he intentionally started writing worse so the guy might get alcohol poisoning
Good atmosphere and chars
Good start but story gets worse
Stupid endings, when all your choices and actions dont matter
A have a feeling that last two episodes was rushed and original script was much larger and complex. Also, i think all cringy staff was intentional, as highschool hipsters and "nerds" are really cringy
>What went right
Everything in chpaters 1-4
>What went wrong
Chapter 5
Right: Brown haired girls with freckles are actually cute
Wrong: Last episode was rushed as fuck, you can clearly see it
I liked very much this game.
And I don't know why most people hate chapter 5.
What did she mean by this?
>Right
Kate
>Wrong
People hurting Kate
>Sacrifice a rebellious, mischievous, selfish bitch to save a town? Easy choice.
With thought and logic, yes. But after playing the episodes and the little guilt trip they send you on before your choice, I ended up insta-locking save Chloe. Objectively the wrong choice in my opinion but the game did a good job fucking with my emotions a bit.
Both endings were too sad. I wished there was a choice to let Max sacrifice herself to save Chloe and the town. After all, Max is the one who messes up time.
I chose to sacrifice Chloe. Like she said, it must be her destiny to die. That's why she died so many time. That storm is like a big message "Jesus fuck Chloe just die already!"
Even if you save sacrifice Chloe and let the town die you just delay the inevitable. More chaos will follow Max and Chloe until the latter dies, because she is meant to.
The saddest part about sacrificing Chloe was not that she died, it was that she remembered none of the week she spent with Max, the happy moments they had together, her trying to get better with her parents, realizing that she can't keep blaming others. When Chloe died in the toilet at the end, she died feeling unloved, miserable and abandoned, including that Max had abandoned her. Had she died with her memories intact it might have been better.
>They should have made KATE more likable. She was too much of a immature cunt.
I don't believe this
the ending for choosing Chloe had zero time or effort put into it
Now you're just being silly and bullying sweet and innocent Kate. It's people like you who made her go and throw herself off a building.
chloe was a dumb bitch and she deserved to die
twitter.com
There's more but I can't find it, the dude goes on twitter like "I'M GONNA GIVE THAT CANADIAN RAT ALCOHOL POISONING"
I meant Maxine
>look up pic of Max's voice actor
not bad
>look up pic of Chloe's voice actor
highly disappointing
>Right
Episodes 2-4 actually managed to get me pretty invested in the characters.
Lots of great foreshadowing.
Waifus
>Wrong
Literally everything about the last episode.
Turns out the foreshadowing was nothing but red herrings and the ending is what everyone assumed it was gonna be when the first episode came out.
A stealth section? Really?
Jefferson was pretty lame.
If I remember correctly, more people complained about Max's voice acting than Chloe's.
I think the worst thing Episode 5 did was choose the usual safe route that basically ignores most of your choices. Many characters overall were quite disappointly built upon (the stupid rich kid more than anyone).
It's a shame really, because overall I really enjoyed it, it was for the most part really enjoyable.
>people who didn't save chloe
I didn't go through 5 episodes of that shit, and get time travel powers just to let Max's waifu die when I had a chance to save her.
right? why save that shit town
come on, not even ampill believes this shit
is brote even alive?
It gave me a strong urge to strangle every single character.
I think they just didn't knew what they were trying to tell anymore.
The world out-grew them.
I love this game with all its flaws.
I want the sequel to take place in a comfy french warm summer village.
>Both endings were too sad. I wished there was a choice to let Max sacrifice herself to save Chloe and the town. After all, Max is the one who messes up time.
Same user here again to elaborate what I said.
If Max were to sacrifice herself instead, she goes back in time to the toilet where it all started but instead of Chloe, Nathan instead shoots Max. She doesn't have to die immediately. She could say a few things to Chloe before dying.
Images could then be shown how Nathan and Jefferson are arrested, Chloe improves her life, bonds with her mother and stepfather, drops most of her punk life, goes back to study at Blackwell. Chloe and everyone else go to Max's funeral. At the end, Chloe (now no longer having blue hair) sees a doe in the distance.
Reddit Top Tier Game
4 chapters went right
the lat one went wrong
I bet you are here, somewhere in this thread as always, aren't you user-kun?
Please no! I hate French accents.
The endings were lackluster
>Pick one at the end = wrong
Take account of some choices in every chapter and make 4 or 5 endings.
Or even just have one ending with varying details based on your choices.
Cute game
Cute girls
Cute romance
Decent amount of feels
Story got ruined towards the end though
So her powers just come from god being a dick to hipster chicks, I guess?
>Right
Atmosphere, most characters, setting, soundtrack, story.
>Wrong
Chloe, ending, sometimes it tries to hard to be progressive, not being able to date Kate
yurifags are cancer
Her powers come from this asshole wanting to ruin a young girl's life
>Right
Conveys a somewhat comfy setting
Has a unique artstyle, I thought it was ugly myself and didn't make up for the games graphical shortcomings, but I could see someone liking it
>Wrong
Basically everything else. Shit gameplay despite an interesting premise for one of these Telltale style adventure games, unforgivable plotholes like Max's powers never being explained. Tries to be quirky and surreal and fails at both. Not a single character is endearing or likable, they all fall between uninteresting or unlikable. So the only times in the game when you're not trying to fight the urge to fall asleep, you're still not having a good time. I only played the first 4 episodes so I don't know what people mean by the last one being the one that shit the bed, because the bed had been shat right from the get go. In fact I don't think it could get much worse than the first episode considering it probably had some of the worst dialogue I have ever seen in anything ever and I have seen more than my fair share of shitty dialogue.
All in all, I'd recommend it only to people who adore stories with a comfortable setting and I would only recommend it to them if they have exhausted every other story with a comfortable setting they could think of and were now reaching for the bottom of the barrel.
What a cute girl, tell me more.
Fifth post best post
How do I make the game look good?
...
disable chromatic aberration in the config files
>to hard to be progressive
'to hard' or 'to be', decide on a verb, user.
Or learn to write properly you illiterate subhuman.
Is her name really Exit? Or is google translate just shit? Also why are you stocking this QT? I mean that is kinda self explanatory with her being so cute, but why her exactly?
Stalking, even. Excuse any mistakes please I'm running on 4 hours of sleep.
See pic related; they couldn't even competently execute their own premise.
Nearly all the girls look anorexic. Chloe, Max, Victoria, Kate and others have no tits, ass, hips or thighs.
They are only 18. Give em time, they just ain't had enough calories in em yet. Ain't been alive long enough.
The game has like only two characters who are not white. You would think a Tumblr game would have the opposite.
I find Max to be extremely attractive.
That's not an option.Had she done that she'd have altered played around with fate again and it probably wouldn't have fixed the tornado. Sitting duck and not doing anything was what she was allowed to do.
Honestly I thought the tornado was caused by somekind of evil spirit summoned up by the shenanigans of everyone behaving immorally in the town.
The endings they went with suck because they kind of render all the effort Max put into solving the case w/o having anyone harmed void. It's got a "eh, what was even the point?" aftertaste-
> Life is strange ranked Top 4 in Japanese GOTY
If you are a weeb then how do you defend this???
The only thing to go right in this whole game
>duh why don't the life is strange girls look like the real women I interact with, on pornhub
They like teen girls and highschool life? and react to westaboo shit the way we do to their shit? What? Do you think we are getting the authentic redlight district experince simulator with Yakuza games or something?
Everyone knows Japs have shit taste.
But weebs are honorary Japanese tho, they should understand.
Until Dawn and Life is Strange are better David Cage games than David Cage could ever create. You know it's true.
The average Jap is less into anime and shit than weebs user.
>highschool girls
>superpowers
>romance
>feels
The story feels like it's ripped straight off a generic Japanese anime
If Life is Strange had an anime artstyle most of the people shitting on it on Sup Forums would eat it up like it was the best thing ever
youtube.com
I would rather play any David Cage game over either of those. LiS and Until Dawn or shit, but they're not laughably bad like stuff by Cage, and if you're going to make me choose between something that will get laugh out of me and something that will bore me to tears, I'll take the former everytime. Heavy Rain is also one of the only games of its type where your choices matter.
Episode 1 was simple but alright. Comfy atmosphere and characters, interesting mechanic to play around with, lots of interactivity in the world, nice setup.
Episode 2 was great, the way it lead you into a false sense of security by letting you redo all the puzzles as many times as you want, even giving each of them multiple solutions to encourage you to do so, then ripping away that security in the final sceene where you get one chance to save a girl and if you fail she's dead for the rest of the game.
I barely remember episode 3, but the alternate universe twist at the end was pulled off well.
Episode 4 was great as well, exploring the AU, pulling the fucking plug on AU Chloe's life, discovering, breaking into and exploring the rape dungeon, seeing Chloe get fucking shot by Jefferson, it was an emotional rollercoaster with amazing atmosphere. It was cool how your decisions from throughout the game changed things in little ways as well.
Episode 5 was a rushed, disappointing anti-climax of cut content and reducing all your choices to "press X or O". It was great that you choices mattered in little ways in eps 3 and 4, it was fucking shtty that they didn't matter at all in the actual ending. If they had more time to expand it and give it the endings they actually wanted, it could've been great, but as is, it was awful.
That file name lol
