LED isn't a screen type, it's a backlight for LCDs. LCDs can be lower quality than OLED, but not all of them are. High quality IPS LCDs can rival or surpass OLED.

The benefit of LCD over OLED is that OLED gets burnt in after a while, and the colors change over time because the sub pixels don't burn in evenly.

OLED is a type of LED idiot. LED can be used as backlight for LCD or as a standalone display technology. They're literally just lights.

LCDs literally physically cannot have the contrast possible with OLED displays, unless each individual pixel is lit independently by its own LED independently, at which point, you might as well just make the whole screen LED anyway.

Enjoy having to replace your screen every year or two because your screen is bio degradable.

I've owned my current OLED for 2 years now and have not once seen burn in. You really have to fuck up to get burn in on an OLED. People keep thinking OLED suffers the same issues that Plasma TVs did but it's not even remotely close.

I do love watching anime on my 1080p monitor at home, but I loaded some onto my phone screen for a flight and it looked miles better. It doesn't get stretched on my video player, but when anime is all blown up sometimes it does look like shit. I started Haruhi on my phone and was disgusted when I started watching it on the TV.

This, in my memory it remains all crips and shit and it takes me less than a second to adjust to a small screen.
