So...this is the power of...Denuvo...woah
feels good piratefags can't play Nier
yet
How you enjoying football manager 2017
...
This is the first game I've bought at full-price for a very long time.
...
Was it worth it? Considering buying it for 40 eurobucks.
...
>tfw gonna play it for free in the future
feels good saving €60
Not him, but yes.
This game has reminded why the fuck I even like games.
I am him, and yes.
See you in 2020
I bought the game, I even pre-ordered it, and I still can't play it because the game doesn't work with a 780 card. Feels like bad customer treatment desu.
So are all the Denuvo shills underage faggots? Because you don't seem to know about the shittershatter that Starforce and its contemporaries were.
You can do it user
if you arent just a shitposting liar, just refund it
Other way around, Denuvo is based and saving the industry. v4 is the start of it, just like when Trump became President
Yep, underage. Thanks for confirming that, shill.
Nu pirates sure are underageb&. Moralfags that tell you to steal are the true faggots.
Hello, I'm and I have a GTX 780. Turn off Anti-aliasing, use FixAutomataResolution and turn on Ambient Occlusion (I'm pretty sure FAR handles it's own anti-aliasing if AO is on). If it still freezes/whitescreens, downgrade your video drivers to 361.91.
I get solid 60@1080 at all times with all in-game settings on the highest. Use FAR to set Global Illumination Quality to High or Medium, it won't look any different and you'll get great FPS improvements.
More like *blocks your sales*
I've spent more than two hours trying to fix it in the graphics options, and through playing.
It's not that my PC is weak and can't run it. The game just "white screens" (All visuals disappear) after about twenty minutes of play. I usually get to the first boss, some giant arm with a sawblade or giant gear on it, when it happens.
got through all 3 routes on my gtx 780 with maybe 40 crashes and 2 hardlocks that bricked my gpu until I completely wiped drivers
You can submit a refund request and explain it doesn't work at all. Don't be this stupid.
Tell me about FAR. What is it? Where do I get it? What if I hate jaggies?
Genocide on poorfags when?
I feel empty now after getting Ending E. Almost as empty as when i finished Trails in the Sky.
Kinda fucked up by doing all the sidequests during my first playthrough, now that i've unlocked the battle armor there is literally nothing for me to do
not him but as someone who has a gtx 780 I can tell you that it's most certainly the something with the keplar gpus, there have been hundreds of people on steam threads trying diffrent drivers and settings and forcing stuff in nvidia control panel and nobody has found anything that works any better than anything else.
crashes are almost entirely localized to certain areas and nobody has found a way to stop it
>Trails in the Sky
on PSP?
Should I play it?
Is the stroy good?
FAR started as a basic tool to let you use Fullscreen mode in Nier without weird scaling, but now it can do other stuff, the main thing being changing a setting called Global Illumination Quality. I'm pretty sure it has it's own anti-aliasing if you have ambient occlusion turned on, and I always ran into crashes when I had Nier's AA turned on.
After doing what I mentioned in my post, I haven't crashed or whitescreened in the 18 hours I've played of it. It might be different for other people though.
>buying games with Denuvo
If more people were like me, Denuvo wouldn't exist (for long). Entitled pirate tears never fail to make me laugh though, so thanks for that.
Go to Nvidia Control Panel and on the top under help click on Debug Mode. This will set the card to run with reference clocks rather than factory overclock.
This does not fix the crash issue 100% but it reduced it for me by a lot. shit was unplyaable before, but with debug mode i can play several hours before crashing and spots that used to 100% crash, no longer crash for me when running in debug mode. just remember to turn debug mode off if you play another game (it turns off automatically after restarting, so you cant really forget it unless your pc never gets turned off)
I've heard a lot of arguments, that this game definitely is not an AAA title and is not worth 60 bucks. Is this another, but slighty better, No Mans Sky?
Well i played it on PC, but i guess it is available on psp too. Story is not the most original, but the lore and worldbuilding and of course the characters are ace. probably the most memorable cast in a game for me. these games are slow burners tho, so be prepared for a lot of comfyness
No. The game is awfully repetitive.
this. i can afford any game i want, whenever i want, but i dont support the fucking over of developer sales based on pirate-fear-mongering.
also just about every game that uses denuvo is shit-tier anyway. OOH I CANT WAIT TO SPEND 60$ ON THE NEW TOMB RAIDER ON LAUNCH DAY - said no one ever.
>you are now remembering "dark souls 3 will use denuvo!" threads
2 hours being some hard cut off point isn't true
Don't be retarded
Is this game playable on a controller?
>Comparing NieR to No Man's Scam.
Damn uncultured swines.
>200k units
Very happy it flopped.
Weebshit needs to die.
>PSP
Both 1st and 2nd chapter are on PC, perfectly optimized if you buy them or if you pirate and find their latest patches, unpatched they work like dogshit so be warned. Not about performance, they're old games, its more about bugs and crashes everywhere.
Story is one of the greatest in JRPG genre.
Be warned that 1st chapter is a really slow starter and more world-building than anything, really picks up at last 15hours and keeps the tension up throughout the entirety of 2nd chapter.
Autistic level of missables/NPC dialogue so if completionist you're gonna suffer. Worth it.
It feels like you're baiting now.
The better question is if the game is playable without one. Yes, you'll almost certainly want a controller for this.
Game probably isn't worth full price. I'd wait for the inevitable 25-50% summer sale.
...
yes, works flawlessly with steams native ds 4 support. there are also mods for ds4 button prompts if that is your controller of choice
>tfw denuvo is forced to resort to being used for indiedev-tier JRPG weebshit games with mediocre reception because studios are wising up to their bullshit
You mean, it doesn't display PS buttons despite being on playstation..?
How do you pet the pods with X360 controller?
yeah, it's weird, isn't it. maybe one days developers will create options to choose from a set of button prompts
*uses the not being poor buff to walk right around it*
will buyfags ever recover?
Allright, I downloaded and installed that FAR thing. Aside from turning down/off AA is there any more steps? Do I need to activate FAR somehow?
>tfw denuvo works
DRM's here to stay, boys. PC gamers ruined it for themselves
It doesn't. Nier is just a good game. 1 of 100 maybe with Denuvo.
Worth every cent and then some.
Hit Ctrl-Shift-Backspace to open the FAR menu. You should see a dropdown for Global Illumination Quality, tweak it until you get an FPS you're comfortable with. It'll update real-time ingame so you can see how each setting looks.
It sounds corny, but I did primarily want to support Taro and Platinum. I like them.
japanese or english voice?
>PC gamers ruined it for themselves
What was ruined? As long as h-games doesn't have DRM there're not problems.
English
Is Tubee the most a e s t h e t i c video game character ever created?
Eng
A2
Do you speak jap? Then jap?
If not, then english.
What if i buy the game and need more than 2 hours to fiddle with the settings just to find out it still runs badly? And does refund work if i used paypal?
There aren't that many settings you would fiddle with for 2 hours. But generally Steam makes exceptions for the 2 hour rule if you are having technical problems and don't have a record of frivolous refund.
>thigh high boots
>heels
>skindentation
>white/black clothing
>skirt
>floating huge swords
>short white hair
>headband
I swear 2B has been designed to my exact preference.
And then you add A2 who also brings the broken robot fetish.
It's mindblowing how much Automata appeals to me.
Doesn't matter that the game has DRM, literally can't buy it because of IP block.
Jap. English is full of shitty translation choices and 2B might as well be a different character how she behaves in the english one.
>missing out willingly on Kotomine Kirei
What do you mean?
>not playing with the original sounds so you can have better understanding of their emotions rather than dumb Americans voices who butcher emotions with their horrendous pronunciations and deep voices
its only 3 years untilthen. wont even feel the time flying
>Missing out willingly on Rinachan
Yeah it's pretty easy to cater to the weeb taste.
Unless you die
If you make me choose between Kotomine Kirei and the worse 2B you will lose.
can't buy it on steam more specifically. same thing with MGR.
I pirated MGR anyway to spite konami
I have a harder time understanding emotions when japs talk than when americans do it, it probably has to do with the fact that I speak english.
Theres worse things to miss out on if you die in the next 3 years
Like not finding out what the one piece is
If you got yourself IP-blocked on Steam then it's probably your own fault.
why people relate píracy with poverty?
when most of the data downloaded from torrent is comes from europe users
Who is voiced by Kirei?
Joji Nakata voices Kotomine Kirei, N2 und Alucard
Sure, that works, if you understand the language, how it's spoken and used.. and despite most people's love for the gooks on Sup Forums they hardly take the time to understand the language
no you faggot. its blocked in 3rd world countries because they don't want my shit stained money
>Because you don't seem to know about the shittershatter that Starforce and its contemporaries are.
I still have to suffer through this shit for my faggot flight sims. Welcome to niche gaming.
>Runkachunk
Picking up a language without lessons requires quite a bit of genius, and going so far as to learning the language seems like too much effort when a lot of the content is offered in english as well.
>Alucard
I knew that voice sounded familiar
You clowns with your mental gymnastics are always so funny to observe.
Theres not a single difference between knowing japanese and understanding the emotions of a character and not knowing japanese.
t. Learned japanese for my chinese picture books
Can't you just buy through a key seller then?
not taking chances. and I'm not really that into this game, but since there's a lot of talk about it, I became interested.
How is buying the game through a key seller taking a chance? I did it because it was cheaper, but I still did it no problem.
It really doesn't matter because localization messed with both English audio and subtitles with both being completely different from what was said.
There's a line where the Japanese VA for 9S references Rambo and it's translated out to a comment critical of using explosives to clear a blockade with nothing of the reference intact.
/lies, probably
>why go see movies in the theater when I can just wait 10 years and see them for free in TV!!!
Bought it for ps4
Buttblasted pirate fag deseperate to play it
Emotions and facial mimic are one of the basic things that are understood across all languages and cultures.
Did you notice any difference how people that played with jp and english perceived the game? The only legit complained I've read so far is that eng 2b is different and more snarky than jp 2b (eng. 2b got a minor Zero treatment)
>Some people unironically go to the theators for this reason
