Was Tales of Zestiria that bad?
Was Tales of Zestiria that bad?
I didn't play it, but yes.
...
I only watched the anime but yes. Not enough Edna.
Not as bad as people say but it had major flaws.
*sniffs her cunny*
...
like what
Yes but it gave us Edna so I can't bring myself to wish it out of existence.
...
I love her design, wish more story she had
...
Nice and symmetric.
What the hell happened to these Tales games?
I thought they used to be great RPG's but now it's just all moeshit. Fucking hate japan right now. Phil Fish was wright.
You posted the only redeeming thing in the game, OP.
>Have to have the same number of humans and Malak's in battle.
>only two humans
>can't go one human and three malaks
>Humans are the only ones with martial artes to interrupt spells
>combined forms lose martial artes
>spells can interrupts spells
>no incentive to not spam AoE spells as Malak or combined form
>AI party members have suicidal AI
>Battles are unreasonably hard until you can manually switch out and combine party members to act as your meat shields.
>Camera is a nightmare in enclosed spaces
>Rose is an awful character who can do no wrong because everyone loves her
It's full of awful decisions but it's still infinitely more playable than Star Ocean 5.
After playing Symphonia and Abyss dungeons, Zestiria feels like a HUUUGE step back, also the enemies don't staggering and sponging damage for the sake of difficulty is cheap.
Yes.
that's Berseria user..
That's a mod user.
Absolutely. It's much better on a second play-through because there are no false hopes. If you are told to go to a town, you directly go to that town without deviating.
This game severely punishes exploration due to having to backtrack. Yet at the same time, the areas really aren't that big to begin with.
The only fight worth mentioning is Eizen, and for the new players playing this after Berseria, I feel sorry for them.
It only punishes you if you go to certain areas that you aren't ready to go, which is actually normal for JRPGs.
>The only fight worth mentioning is Eizen
I combined with Zaveid and spmmed the laser move. Eizen is so big he constantly gets hit while the laser pans around and it hits his wind weakness. That fight was a joke.
>That fight was a joke
Not if he catches the AI off guard
>Rose dies
>combine tehtered malak to revive her
>uncombine
>Malak dies
>swap in another Malak
>Everyone else is dead
>swap your malak to Rose to revive her
>uncombine and swap back
or
>use life bottle on Rose's Malak and combine them to revive her too
The AI is suicidal but you have tools to deal with it.
Yes. It's almost unplayable garbage with an awful story, bland as fuck world design and a combat system so bad you can literally mash one button the entire game. The only good thing was the anime opening and two characters.
seraphim can use martial artes and no martial artes during armatization is a weakness not really a flaw.
>seraphim can use martial artes
You're right, my bad. It's
Human
>martial artes (Rock)
>Hidden artes (Paper)
Seraphim
>Martial artes (Rock)
>Seraph artes (Scissors)
Aramtized form
>hidden artes (Paper)
>seraph artes (Scissors)
Shame the character isn't that good.
It's a lot more fun if you fix some of the problems of the battle system by cheating moves onto characters, but yeah it's a pretty flawed game. Very disappointing for anyone who's a fan of the series.
The combat. I don't like the fusion system.
Armatus can use quickstep to replace martial artes.
No. Most people, like the faggot in the first reply didn't even play it.
One thing most people don't know: If you have a decent Nvidia card, you can play Zestiria coop online and the second player doesn't even need to own the game. This game was pretty much built for 2 players since you can double armatus and most seraphs are more useful as casters than actual fighters. Just look up the beta options of GeForce Experience.
