I love artillery, i love the sound of cannon balls, i love hamming shell after shell on enemys that cant even see me. It can be siege tanks/ basilisks/ nuke cannons i not only have to field them i have to field as many as i can.

You can't have an army consisting only of artillery but the CoH games have some very satisfying artillery.
Jonathan Morris

You sick fuck

Play sudden strike 2, or google hidden stroke for the mod. That is true artillery,

Asked /vg/ few weeks ago how shit it is for a beginner. They've told me not to play it.
Luke Ross
company of heroes 1 has goat artillery
Zachary Robinson
Arma 3 has some pretty fun artillery Running with Rifles has a mortar tank you can cruise around in.
Isaac Nelson
New patch comes out later this month that drastically changes the role of arty from doom cannon to stun support. If you don't have any friends to hand hold you till tier 6, I can imagine it being a torturous.
James Rivera
Total war series, in particular empire, Napoleon, fall of the samurai and medieval 2. They all have great seige battles and artillery.
World in conflict. Play against bots as an artillery commander. Wargame is also good for artillery.
Tyler Morris
>specialize for artillery commander >take highground >murder everything with those big ass fuckin atry bases and AT cannons
Jason Adams
Blitzkrieg is pretty good for that
Brandon Howard
the germans DLC race was so fucking op, you could shoot artillery for no resource cost blindly.... literally wipe out tanks/entire infantry squads free of charge. it looked and felt amazing but it was op as hell

It's a very, very bad game.
Having said that there's not much competition for ww2 tank games
And none whatsoever if you want to play arty

13B here for as much effort as this guy spent making this the end product is pretty shit. Everything about this makes me REEEEEE, the recoil mechanism, prefused rounds, no adjusting powder, already being at maximum elevation at 45 degrees, impossible to make left/right adjustments. The chief might trigger me the most because he's not even verifying what his guys are doing and what the fuck is he looking at? You're not going see where the rounds actually land
Jose Russell
Brigador my nigga, you have quite the arsenal of artillery weapons
KEK, if you're going to waste $30,000+ on a single round you might as well be doing an airstrike. Also HERA rounds exist
Eli Nguyen
Rocket artillery is good too? 9th Company :Roots of Terror youtube.com/watch?v=YVCW-Yo6_Wo 7:45 for D-30 8:30 for BM-21 Grad It was fun as fuck blowing some goatfuckers villages.
Bentley Barnes
You want to get Brigador a great sleaper hit of last year.
You can blow up city blocks like nothing, blast civilians into hell and you have alot of weapon option and vehicles
Lucas Russell
looks fuckin dope, downloading now

Something to make your life easier with the game
>shoot the patrols first, if you rise the alarm all enemies will activate they shields and swarm you >have a good mix of anti armor and shield breaking weapons >take cover arround buildings >play walkers first, anti grav takes some time to get used and tanks are very weak if they get hit in the flank or the back
Joseph Lopez
A lot of weapons are equally effective versus shields and armour. Also, some tanks are really good in spite of intrinsic weaknesses.
Eli Allen
I just play with one-two combos to quickly blow up everything.
>Also, some tanks are really good in spite of intrinsic weaknesses.
Yeah they had great armor and hp but what I hate the most about tanks is getting stuck in the terrain.
I mostly use corvid antigravs
Gabriel Lewis
Did you see the last update? They added a new Corvid agrav and before the latest fix it had 400 HP and shields while being as fast as it is well, now that it has "only" 175/175/175. 2 AUX slots, so plenty of dakka.

The main "story" is in the purchasable lore entries and pilots' backstories.
The short version is that Solo Nobre is a capital (and only?) city of Novo Solo colony, which once belonged to Solo Nobre Concern until the revolution happened, led by a paramilitary group under a guy who later becomes "Great Leader". Years passed and the great leader is dead. Solo Nobre Concern is still alive though, and they are looking to hire volunteer drivers for some mercenary work in Solo Nobre - destroying infrastructure and orbital guns, mostly, to make taking the colony back easier. Basically, in a true cyberpunk fashion you're an asshole working for bigger assholes because you like money, blowing shit up or just want to get away from that miserable piece of rock as far as you can.
Liam Campbell
Tru tru, dumping points into howitzers and what not is satisfying. The campaign of AS2 felt weird to me, like it was supposed to be played in co op or something, especially those defense missions that would end with you having killed like 200 enemy tanks

No ones said Total War Empire/Napoleon? Really?
Aaron Sanchez
The three main "factions" you interact with in the game are Loyalists, Corvids and Spacers. Loyalists are the colonial military pretty much, they are still loyal to Great Leader's cause even after his dead - sure, the guy was a dictator but the times before him were even worse. Corvids are a bunch of vaguely anarchistic rebels who like to build tanks and mechs out of junk. In another story, they'd be the good guys but here they employ suicide bombers in great numbers, so they really aren't. Spacers are the 1% - rich people who prefer living in space (but have to spend some time planetbound or suffer atrophy, to their dismay) and consider themselves "more evolved". Their society is morally upside-down and values cruelty, disloyalty and perversion. They have the best (and cruelest!) tech canon-wise and love nothing more than using their fancy toys to make filthy mud-dwellers suffer. Great guys, really.
Colton Scott
Yes, I love that bloody thing, I outrun everything while blasting Spacers left and right

I was just playing a 10v10 in Wargame, you can build an army of nothing but artillery if you want. Not even that bad, so long as your team is communicating where to fire at.
I usually get about 1/4 of my points worth of artillery in a small game, otherwise it's about 1/5. Mortar carriers are a lot of fun, I can turn entire areas into giant smoke clouds and tear everything up with commandos.
