Probably, but not for that.

If you didn't back up, probably

You experienced the game and ending the way the creator intended, the fact that you got swept up in the moment is proof that you were engrossed in it and cared enough.

You would honestly regret it later if you didn't, and if you did something like back up the data elsewhere first you would have missed the entire point anyways.

No

The playtime is not lost. You still got to enjoy the game. Your save state holds no value if you're already experienced the content.

Did it really only take you 30 hours? I was around 50. I sidequested a lot though.

he probably skipped the side quests like a total fucking nigger

Not really. You did it because you cared.

You only lost numbers, but the game is still there for you to enjoy once again. Unless you're a trophy whore, you shouldn't really care.

It's weird. I did most of the side-quests, yet it only took me 30 hours to finish the game. I only skipped leveling up weapons, pods and my own level (got to 65 or so).

inb4 that guy who attacks everyone who sacrificed their save calling them retards who missed the poitn

I gave up 70 hours. No regrets boi

FPBP

I didn't. I am going to do everything first and then do it but desu I am waiting to see what the DLC will be like because getting back to ending C/D from the start is like 10-15 hours of gameplay if you just go for that and you know what you are doing.

33 hours in and did 80-90% of sidequests, still missing some of them and like 10 endings plus weapons, and some info etc etc.

>wanting to miss out on that neat ass shit wallpaper
>not replaying the game after finishing it for the first time
Playing it a second time is like a revelation.

I think I must just take my time about games more than most people here. I pretty routinely run my clock up a lot compared to many of you. I'm not sure if that's good or bad. Probably neither, really.

I just got ending A, B, and D last night. What ending are you supposed to delete your save for?

How many hours does it generally take to beat route A if you do a good chunk of sidequests as well?

Ending E

Probably 15-20 hours

So uhh... what the fuck are those 3 locked elevators about?
There's one in the forest, one in the desert and one at the coast.
There's probably a fourth or even fifth one somewhere else.
Is that shit planned dlc?

Took roughly 25h with around 70% done.

10 more hours for Route C/D/E

Ending E, which should automatically unlock if you answer "YES" to everything after getting Endings C and D.

Try saying NO first, so you can do everything you didn't do at first (like side-quests) and then just reload the final chapter and answer YES.

Im gonna go get ending C in an hour. When or where will it ask me a yes or no question?

It's full of poop

>Playing it a second time is like a revelation.
Honestly it's fucking weird, I kind of thought it was okay first time round and only picked up at the end, second time are the wipe everything came across so much better

>neat ass shit wallpaper
Does anyone have that 1920x1080 as a proper wallpaper

At the very end after Ending E.
It's very obvious. You'll know

During the credits. You won't get the option to skip them, unlike before, and then the Pod will start talking.

...

Currently 13 hours in and I'm about to get into the flight units by the sea. Is there any missable sidequests on the first route or can you crank them out in route B?

You made another thread, yes.

>tfw 30 hours in and I still haven't even gotten ending A

hhehehe

Developers fucking with you. You're probably meant to think it's something you need to find a key for, or that it's future DLC, but the reality is that Taro came out and said there wouldn't be DLC aside from possibly costumes, and even that was doubtful because Square-Enix. No new areas or anything.

Yes. I am too

Ending E is possible without assistance:

youtube.com/watch?v=r_Hz6m2BDsg

You get chapter select after Ending C.
So you can't miss anything.
Most are shared but, yes there are quests unique to A and B.

Edited ver that cuts out the failed attempts:

youtube.com/watch?v=T3DOwqopcq0

Does it say or do anything different if you solo it?

>2 hours

Awesome, that's handy then. Are there new weapons in route B over A, or is it shared in those two?

I deleted 55 hours...don't regret anything

Zeno? Is that you?

I did not delete, and I DO regret it. I know it's just a video game but the reflection of my actual life and personality is undeniable.

He said no Witcher-esque expansions, not that there wouldn't be any actual DLC.

>no Witcher-esque expansions
Well yeah we could have figured that out on our own. You need an actual budget to make something like this.

No

>no witcher-esque expansions
That this could have been a possibility alone hurts my heart the most.

i hope you got or bought all the trophies before doing so

I would cum buckets. But he also made that statement before the sales numbers I do believe so who knows, with Nier as popular as it is maybe it'll get Squenix to reconsider.

Well yes there are more weapons of each type to collect, especially because of a handy ability.

And usually since most people never find a Bracer during Route A even though it's possible, Route B will most likely be your introduction to them.
If you couldn't find a weapon in the world in A you can most certainly do it in B. I do remember one or two weapons being quest specific though.

Also as a tip yes there is a heavy attack set in B in case you ever find yourself wondering once you start Route B.

>the reflection of my actual life and personality is undeniable

Don't be so dramatic.

>mfw only 72.4% of steam players beat the prologue and got to the bunker

I dont think thats the problem but that Platinum has no manpower to spare for something like that according to the most recent interview.

So, would it be safe to say that Nier:Automata is to Nier what Metal Gear Solid is to Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake?

>Buying trophies
Why?

The MGS 2 influences are pretty apparent. So yeah, I guess?

Not him but I had so much unused money at the end that I said fuck it. Hey man, it's in the game. It's not like I used cheat codes or something.

the more I thought about it the more I like that comparison
It's like a minor genre change almost

Because by Route C you can sell your Machine Cores to earn a ridiculous amount of money. Gotta spend it on something.

EVERY DAY'S A SALE!
EVERY SALE'S A WIN!
EVERY DAY IS GREAT WHEN YOU'RE ME!

He never deserved this.

What's the point of a trophy if you're gonna just buy it?

What's the point of a trophy?

is there any way to upgrade weapons once you play as A2? or do I need to go back to the previous chapter to use the upgrade guy at the camp?

bingo

The other 27.6% were just trying to get Broken [W]ings and then never finish the game. That's the true ending.

you did collect the trophies?

Advance the plot or go to the forest kingdom blacksmith.

A token of accomplishment for doing something challenging

Buying a trophy is not challenging. It's like playing through touhou with god mode and then complaining about it being boring

There is no way you beat Emil in 30 Hours so yes, you are.

>tfw didn't delete my save because I heard there was a secret boss fight
>can't find it now
>don't want to be a fag and check guides

Can anyone confirm or deny the existence of a "secret boss fight"?

Can confirm

It's sort of hidden. The hint you're getting out of me is to investigate pipes.

>A token of accomplishment for doing something challenging
>"Look under 2B's skirt 10 times".

Hey, you worked hard for that money. Most of the trophies are busy work anyway.

>he didnt buy a throphy to skip unfun parts

will that let me upgrade weapons before getting them to lvl 4? mine are still at 1.

>Hey, you worked hard for that money.
Nah it was surplus money that you got shoved up your ass just for doing the quests

If you think the trophy isn't fun, then have you considered simply not getting it?

This is neither the first nor the last time this argument has been made. In the grand scheme of things it's as much of a curveball as anything else Taro throws at players so fuck it.

Yes. Have fun pushing blocks.

>upgrading the first rank of each pod was easily the worst and most time consuming

Why would they do this? Final rank Laser pod is insane though.

Wait is the "secret boss fight" actually just the Emil truck fight with the bouncing heads?

If it is then yes mad I beat it ages ago and I've been wandering around like a dickhead for ages.

the forest smith upgrades all the weapons
besides the camp is available to A2

theres a second hidden bossfight if you get and upgrade all the weapons

>In the grand scheme of things it's as much of a curveball as anything else Taro throws at players so fuck it.
I believe the point taro was trying to make by including the vendor is that a trophy is worth nothing if you get it with no effort.

He added the vendor to make fun of people who go for 100% completion like it matters to somebody; rather than because they enjoy the challenge. He's saying “Here, you can just press this button to win! Why not do so?”

Except by doing so, you are the only person shooting yourself in the foot for failing to understand the basic premise of a game. It's like that AVGN skit where he has a “I win!” button that lets him instantly beat every single game he plays.

People who buy trophies from the vendor are literally too dumb to see the irony.

Oh cool. Does that include Pods?

Not that guy but I bought the pod upgrades since I had everything except 2 simple gadgets for the last pod and they didn't spawn fucking anywhere I combed with the scanner.

Doesn't Yoko Taro legit hate people who want trophies and included the shop just to mess with them?

At least that's what I remember reading about it.

>hey people like schmups don't they? let's make the credits into one giant schmup that's impossible to beat

>did something like back up the data elsewhere first you would have missed the entire point anyways.
But that's retarded. You can get the point the game's making without actually going through with it.

And it's a lie anyway because it doesn't matter if you do it or not.

I dont know
>he says impossible saying to the evidence it isnt impossible

This might be the most pretentious thing I have ever read in regards to this game.

I actually cried during Ending E.
Am I retarded?

They're finally traveling to explore a new world, Beepy

it's only possible to someone who has the purest strain of autism on the planet

They'll just stumble onto another planet with dumb androids again, probably.

>wasted 10 saves
>didn't give up my save

Suck it.

Confirmed. Other anons clue will do.

absolute madman

>he deleted his save to help an other person
>but he never browses /wsr/ to help others

>Delete the save
>Find out about the Emil bossfight afterwards

Finished, deleted my save and traded in for cash. No regrets.

>introducing Bayonetta dlc for Nier automata with all new battle style

>dat end
