LITERALLY IMPOSSIBLE
LITERALLY IMPOSSIBLE
Nope.
Some faggot beat it at level 45.
Dragonslayer Axe w/ Lightning Blade buff slays dragons.
>Using lightning against Midir
Good fucking luck.
Luck was with me, I slew that beast.
It's been days and I still can't beat Gael. I can get to his 3rd stage but he tanks all my hits. He deals 9999 damage to me per hit but I can only do 189
youtube.com
Keep making excuses
I refuse to believe this faggot got past demon prince at level 1.
>Dragonslayer Axe w/ Lightning Resin buff at SL1
See?
Right on his channel. I don't understand how the madman does it desu. Gael fucked me when i was level 90 on just plain NG. Took like an hour
Does more damage to hit per hit than my level 150 character
Also he plays on pc and it's easier to run and control the camera versus playing on a controller
>he fucking did it with Keyboard and mouse on Dark Souls
Goddamn, true the camera is actually the most difficult thing in that boss fight.
Level means jack shit. Weapon upgrades are more impactful.
New bleed is the most powerful thing in this game, but this overbuffed shit just don't bleed. Does he bleed at all?
+10 weapon
>he fucking did it with NO BLOCKING OR ROLLING with Gael also
youtube.com
Goddamnit.
What's new bleed?
But if you're level 150 and have a +10 weapon why do I still do shit damage to Gael?
>+10 Astora Greatsword
>Elite set
>Dragon Crest Shield
Took me forever until I used that set alone then beat him in 2 tries. It's mainly an endurance test
Bleed infusion for bandit knife with 70 luck after latest patch. It destroys everything that can bleed. Bloodless enemies can be killed with Anri's sword.
>Starts off with his health at basically nothing
The madman.
So right now I have a 40 luck 40 dex onichiri and ubadachi bleed build
What does the extra luck do for the dagger?
probably because of the rtsr
It does nothing for dagger itself, however it's buffing bleed. Dagger is just good because of low stamina consumption and extremely fast attack. From my testing it's even better than any other bleed weapons and even better than duals or claws. However because of low phys damage, there is no point in fighting enemies who are immune to bleed with dagger, you need second weapon - anri sword or any other hollow infused weapon. And because it's pure luck build, there is no point in dex at all.
>And because it's pure luck build, there is no point in dex at all.
I'm only asking because I have no experience in luck or the bandits knife
So it does damage based off the luck stat? That's why it doesn't matter about dex? But what about the knife doing a lot of damage without the extra bleed?
PESTILENT
MERCURY
FAGGOT
How do the new bosses stack against orphan of kos? With all the bitching sounds like they must be pretty difficult.
I beat it at SL43 on NG+2 with a +6 weapon, and it wasn't even difficult. Once you know his patterns you will literally never get hit.
muh iframes
this game design is garbage. why the fuck do they keep doing it? it was fine with the first game but now it's just a fucking joke. just roll lmao! Imagine if the bosses weren't that fuckign retarded and required more positioning and smart thinking
>So it does damage based off the luck stat?
No, with bleed infusion and 70 luck it's cause bleed status in 2-5 hits, wich is faster than 2 attacks with straight sword. Thus dex is negligible.
>But what about the knife doing a lot of damage without the extra bleed?
Bandit knife isn't powerful weapon, except for the pure luck build and bleed infusion.
Gael is like Artorias, Kos and Maria combined
thank the lords of intelligence, where is your god now faith fags lol
>anri sword
Goddamn I wish I could figure out how to get her sword
When I started the game I was doing her quest. Then all of a sudden she tried to fight me, I ran. Came back and she wasn't there. Haven't figured out where she was since
Honestly, they're not hard. The Demon Princes are the hardest boss in the DLC but I don't see many people complaining about them. Midir and Gael just have giant health pools which is annoying but not difficult, so if you do greatshield + straight sword they become super easy, just like with the rest of the game.
>Imagine if the bosses weren't that fuckign retarded and required more positioning and smart thinking
Reaction based fights are harder, than anything you can imagine. Since bosses can't adapt and change their movesets slow-paced fights even with interesting strategies will be easy.
just kill her/him
havel shield + straight sword of your choice. stay in front of it and block and attack when it does nothing. easy win
They just have fuck huge health. They're really boring to fight. You might spend 15 minutes to windle one boss to 50% without a summon
Its a shame too because I'm not even on ng+
>Goddamn I wish I could figure out how to get her sword
Just attack her on sight. Of course you will be faggot for doing this. But hey, you can kill Horace first and then she will drop on her kneels to cry and let you kill her without resistance. In that case you can fell like ultimate faggot.
I can't find her. When I reloaded where she was, she wasn't there
I thinking I disrupted her quest by killing Aldrich or something
I just beat this ass-fuck a couple hours ago on NG+3. He's not hard in the sense of learning his patterns(minus his phase two laser shit), but at that level he has WAY TOO MUCH FUCKING HEALTH!!
Thankfully during phase two he takes more damage and can be staggered.
his stain is visible, it's not like this was a first try you, you retards. Pretty standard challenge run
Did we ever make the point he did it in one try?
Don't be the asshole who puts words in other people's mouths, so you can feel smug about yourself.
>dragon form doesn't open up a romance with Midir
is FROM fucking retarded? I swear they get dumber by the day.
>>Starts off with his health at basically nothing
>The madman.
what else is that implying lol
>lol
Kill yourself please.
>kys meme
how's grade school?
For those fags that are using hexes/sorcery/pyromancies/
Just use pic related. It does percentage based damage.
Hell if you want to summon it does exactly the same percentage of damage no matter how many summons you have.
For miracle only fags
Shit Senpai I don't know
How do you get the boss to hold still? Gael is always running and jumping and flinging
Every time I used it on him he just ran in the opposite direction
>I refuse to believe this faggot got past demon prince at level 1.
youtube.com
To be fair, he's an extreme minority. 99.9% of players are NOT as good as this guy. The point is that's it's doable.
some faggot beat it at level 1
youtube.com
No no no you use it on Midir.
For Gael just hit him with your favorite weapon.
Bit the bullet and bought Dark Souls 3 just now, 8 hour download though, but might as well since I loved Dark Souls 1 and somewhat liked 2.
Any tips about 3? Like what is the soul level people stop at for pvp? Is magic/faith/pyromancy alright? I hear longsword is the way to go as well.
are spears good for pve?
If you watch other videos, he stabs himself with bloodlust repeatedly until he's low enough, so he can get extra attack from that one "low health + better attack" ring.
The point is to not get hit, so being low health doesn't matter for what he's doing.
I ment to like to that dragon post,
For gael it seems counter productive but I recommend a dark/pyromancy build with black flame, just learn the timing when to roll and counter with it.
Its pretty damn hard but using other methods runs you the risk of running out of FP before he dies.
literally possible
Wow, you did exactly what I did. Nice.
Most people stop around 120. Magic in general is almost useless in PvP. Longswords are EZ mode
Yes
For people who are having problems with Midir, this is a better strategy for most people than his "no roll/no block" video.
youtube.com
Focused on hitting the head during the slow turn.
Wait, he's resistant to lightning? Isn't this faggot an ancient dragon? That were killed by literal lightning. Way to fuck up your lore all over again, DS3.
people usually stop around 80-120 for pvp.
Make a lvl 80 build for fun pvp, make a lvl 120 for tryhard pvp, or make a lvl 99 build for a little of both.
Magic and pyromancy are doable, with pyromancy being the better option, hexes are doable with mixed results but miracles are trash for anything not pve, even then their outclassed by the other types.
Spear while work for pve but shield/spear combo is one of the most boring ways to play the game if that's what you want. Do yourself a favor and don't do that.
No, he's not resistant to lightning, he's weak against it. There's a reason why the SL1 guy is using lightning resin.
Literally the only thing to worry about is when he rears up on his back legs to blow fire. Just hit his fucking head and he can only do the same few moves
Magic useless in pvp huh? How about miracles for pve?
What if I were to go a pure faith build first time around. Any good weapons I should get that'd work well to where I can just put points into faith and dump into vit/end or whatever it is now?
If not i'll probably do spear/greatsword/bow combo.
He's "weak" to lightning as it just happens to be the lowest reduction he has. Guy has a shit ton of resistances.
Hes also a dragon raised and filled with power from the gods to fight the dark, so lore is still there one way or another.
Not just a Dragon, but also infused with Dark.
Should be doubly weak against lightning, but Midir is such a tank it's not really a mortal weakness, he's just marginally weaker to lightning than everything else.
>jump down a giant fucking chasm
>big dark open area
>suddenly giant screaming
>OH FUCK THERE'S TWO OF THEM
>having a rough time but slowly and surely getting them both down
>finally just one, shit's ez now
>kill him
>HE GETS THE FUCK BACK UP AND IS EVEN ANGRIER
>mfw
oh sweet fuck I haven't had this much fun in a while

Good lord. Why am I always surprised at how autistic gamers can be? The lengths these people go to for this shit.
Seems like a pretty weapon
Your DPS can increase by half if the weapon has good scaling and you are a high enough level, also vigor helps a lot
Magic isn't useless, it's just hard to use properly and requires a decked out build. It doesn't get good until the end of the game, but it's fun to use on the side. And if you go pure faith you should stick to spears.
Also, you can re-spec your stats which I don't think you could do in the other games.
Goes great with Pyromancy
The Weapon Art for the weapon is also cool
Magic is viable in pvp user as long as it's pyromancy/sorcery.
As for pure faith build its doable, but unfortunately most of best faith weapons have high strength requirements. Anri's Straight Sword is an option but isn't available early on.
You can respec? Nice.
You could do it in Dark Souls 2
I'll keep that in mind, I might do this if not faith.
Got it, I think I can make do with regular weapons until I reach it, I'm not really new to Dark Souls.
Anri''s would be a waste if he goes faith. It's only good with luck/hollow
Magic is honestly shit. Even in PVE, doing the sister friede fight as a mage is hard. Just using the great axe has me do triple the damage
Yeah I looked it up just now, Luck is interesting to me though. It is what I went in Demon's Souls. Bet you can't guess what meta weapon I used, lol.
>reading the title
>SL1
Alright
>NG+7
Well shit.
>No Rolling or Blocking
>mfw
>bunch of bullshit multi-enemy bosses and bosses with 100k health
Well not gonna waste my time and money with this dlc, call me when they make it fair.
Fuck I actually meant Lothric's Holy Sword for faith.
But yes Anri''s does pretty well with a luck build
If you want to do a luck build bleed is pretty strong, seen a lot of players running that.
>It doesn't get good until the end of the game
this shit right here really jiggled my balls
>have to get near end of the game and have 30 sunlight medals to get great lightning spear
>have to beat the game to get sunlight spear
absolute bullshit
Luck isn't that great in this game. You don't get to upgrade your weapon into a Hollow one until late game. Would be good for a second playthrough
Its just that magic is never worth it. You can deal triple damage using weapons. Range doesnt make up for it when its so easy to dodge
Luck does seem interesting though, I'll be sure to check that out.
They have a shitload of health
fat nigga BOTTOM TEXT fat nigga BOTTOM TEXT fat nigga BOTTOM TEXT fat nigga BOTTOM TEXT fat nigga BOTTOM TEXT
Luck is fun, there are just generally better options.
That said, if everyone just did the exact same cookie-cutter bullshit with the new double greatsword cheese, this game would be dull as hell. Go for it.
DS2 was far better for mages/clerics.
It's doable in DS3, just a fucking chore to make it not suck.
Luck is kind of winning me over a bit right now.
What is bleed like in this game? It was godly in dark souls 1 but in 2 it was kinda meh.
Bleed was the meta for way too long in my opinion
just parry bro
That was because it was implemented really poorly until this last patch. Nobody built for bleed specifically, you build for hollow and used a fucking carthus rouge consumable.
I'm not sure if it's just me, but the bosses in the new DLC weren't too difficult. They were definitely a juicy challenge, but not anything that took me more than four or six tries at the absolute most. The biggest thing that probably trips up people is that they actively punish you for trying to cheese them. Try to hit Midir's legs? lol no damage, eat this fire breath. Run from the demon prince to space some easy hits? lol fuck you, eat these AOE's. Try to cheese Gael's attacks with a shield? Fuck yoself, unless you have at least a black knight shield and 30 endurance you can fuck off.
The best tactic for all of these bosses is to stand in front of them and deal with their attacks as they come, and people are fucking whining about how hard they are.
Bleed's decent, definitely not DS2 terrible.
Innate bleed is just "eh", but once you infuse a weapon with bleed and have decent luck, you can tear through bleedable enemies pretty quickly.
Just need a good alternate "luck" weapon for the non-bleedable guys. Anri's sword innately scales with luck. Also, hollow infusion gives luck scaling to a weapon, with minimal base damage reduction.
That's nice then. I might just go that path.
Does pyromancy work well with it as a back up? What about hollow infused bows?
>Does pyromancy work well with it as a back up?
kinda, some of it actually requires some investment this time
Oh, I see.
One final question, Any particular starting class I should choose? I'm leaning towards Herald because I like the name and It seems I can somewhat do Luck or Faith if I choose to respec.
