On a scale of one to ten bigots crying, how many goobergators will be buttblasted when Randy's latest high quality work of art breaks every sale record (even those of badassly succesful Battleborn?

I mean, look at how well Duke has been dropped in! HAIL TO THE KING BABY LOL BADASS ROFL

This is fucking cringe worthy, why the hell did they do this shit? Doing a model/skin change in an action game with no storytelling or character exposition elements is one thing, but changing the character in a game with an actual narrative without actually rewriting the narrative to fit the character just breaks all immersion.

It's not fun, it's not "badass", it's just fucking retarded.

They didn't even offer a discounted price for this POS.

10/10 post ironic irony.

A remastered Borderlands 1 w/ Duke would probably make them more money. Seriously, Battleborn and now this. Gearbox decision making is pretty fucking bad.

>That awful model for Duke
>That shit audio mixing on Duke
>Those morons in the comments who think Duke's lip sync will be fixed
>The main new feature of the game ends up sounding worse than Steve Blum in tone and delivery
>Those cucked Duke fans who are pretending it's a new Douk game

Gearbox will somehow always disappoint which is why it's so funny

Keeping Duke relevant, I suppose. Not like the actual developers can object, since they are close to going out of business (who am I kidding, they will sink like a rock the moment this shit underperforms like it should).

No one asked for this game in the first place, let alone for a remaster some 5 years on. With Duke Nukem awkwardly squished in. For full price. With the Gearbox logo on the box.

I never played the original I'll give it a shot.

I sure hope you're not planning on giving money to Randy Bo Bandy

Waste of time; game branded itself as a fun and lighthearted shooter with unique kills, but the scoring system railroads you into repeating the same few all the time. Story took itself too seriously and the campaign was linear and short as fuck.

play the game, don't listen the haters, just don't play with duke

How does Gearbox still have the money to keep ruining these IPs?

Why not? I see little reason to take the generic story seriously.

Dont worry, i didnt even gave money for the episode 5.

>bazinga and lame memes (actually debatable)
>extorted eduke32 creator out of the httk collection deal and kicked him in the balls so much that he was forced to apologize in the forums.
>cancelled said collection, and that means douk3d on mobile systems never.
>cancelled the 3d realms anthology and every other douk3d release except for his own

Fuck randy bitchfag for ruining douk3d!

People can Fly, the shithawks of Polish game development, shat out the original with help from Epic and CliffyB, and remastered the game as a last attempt to escape insolvency (no game developed since 2013 and a shitty open world procedurally generated crafting survival game coming this year).

Gearbox were the only publisher dumb enough to pick this game up, which costs them relatively little. Imagine the contract with the Poles was sealed before Stillborn came out, might explain the awkward inclusion of Duke to try and sweet talk retards into purchasing lest Randy's son has to move out of his castle.

Pirate the original. If you got 40$ go give a homeless guy that money he'll be more productive with it than randy

I loved Bulletstorm, but this is just sad.

Somebody put Gearbox out of their misery.

Duke Nuke Forever - Gearbox got almost finished game and outsourced it to ex-3D Realms devs who were working for food. Costs were very low to the profit (physical copies alone sold in more than 2million).

Aliens:CM - Gearbox took money from Sega and outsourced everything to some cheap dudes, while making Borderlands 2 for Sega's money. No costs, huge profit (with B2)

Bulletstorm - game is already done and making convers... oups... remaster for PS4 and XBone is dirt cheap. They'll make their money back even if they sell like 10 copies.

Only time when Gearbox failed to generate profit was with Battleborn. That's sad because Battleborn is a great game (I have more than 100h played, my wife has probably around 200h) and it's failure will make Gearbox stick with shameless cash-grabs.

I'll never understand why a developer that prides itself on their progressiveness would buy the IP to fucking Duke Nukem.

Even if they did royally fuck over 3DR and got the license through slimy shit at a huge discount, it just seems stupid to even want it in the first place.

NOBODY LIKES A BIGOT

Randy Pitchford worked at 3D Realms in early days. DN3D 20th Anniversary was done really great (except for price, which was probably publisher's fault). It looks like some honest, personal thing.

Ep. 5 didn't have memes, just references (loony tunes, the fifth element, Serious Sam, etc) and the bazinga line isn't even used in game.
