Why is the paramedic mission so hard

I still remember when this came out alongside MGS2 and only having enough money to buy one of them, glad I went with this one first.

I remember trying to cross the Callahan bridge at the beginning of the game. I got the banshee that was parked in that showroom or whatever it was and tried to jump the bridge. I was a retard when I was a kid.

I also remember struggling with the ship mission. I eventually figured out that you could just go to a vantage point nearby. I used a rocket launcher and fucked everyone on that ship up before 8ball even got on the ship.

Using the L3 to Jump and "flying" cars, you could skillfully glide right over. 5-6 stars from as soon as you touch the other side.

Also no pedestrians or traffic.

I remember growing up and being new to the ps2 couple years after release. I had got Vice City when it first came out and I thought that was the first game of the franchise till I went to a random pawn shop and saw III one day. Made the wait time till san andreas even better.

Never actually played it. What's the story like, in a nutshell?

Any advice on quicksave mods for GTA3 and GTA:VC? I'm down to replay both but I don't think I have the patience to restart every mission in case of failure these days.

Probably a safe place to ask, but does anyone else prefer the gritty early 90s setting to that gay as fuck neon 80s vice city?

I always preferred the 'feel' of GTA3. San Andreas felt like cardboard and VC felt like cheap plastic.

I remembered that I thought everything beyond the bridge are just for the backgrounds and the whole game is Portland.

You could just jump across on foot. All you had to do was ease down on a broken girder and jump across to the one on the other side. From there, you could even go to Shoreside too because the lift bridge doesn't break until Staunton unlocks.
