>level 5 boat mission >tons of crates to break, always get shitty drops >have to try and keep civilian alive >4 fucking waves of enemies >after 3 waves, two demon spawns, and no health drops, my tension meter is empty and I have no God reels >I fucking die and have to start all over
This game is kicking my ass, yet I am enjoying it. What the fuck.
Jaxson Long
Because it's good
Elijah Morris
because the gameplay is fucking amazing
the game could throw a bunch of unfair enemies at me while im doing an escort quest and id still love it. the combat just feels fair as fuck once you get used to the camera and start using the secret moves
Jack Jackson
>you're enjoying it while it's kicking your ass
That's how you spot a well-designed game. And that wasn't even one of the good parts.
Anthony Lewis
>needing items, roulette, and godhand to not die
How about you git gud?
In seriousness though, learn how to juggle, stun abuse, and launch enemies in the air. None of these require consuming anything and use base moves plus the not so obvious permanent moves like up dodge then triangle doing a leg sweep.
Brandon Collins
That's kind of hard to do when you get swarmed by three guys at once.
Tyler Sullivan
>what is running away >not having a kick for crowd control Stop pretending the game is MGR where you can parry everything on reaction
James Gray
You have i-frames when doing free moves though. Also charge uppercut
Evan Sullivan
godhand has fantastic crowd control mechanics, you just have to learn to use them
sweeps, charged uppercuts, running kicks, all great tools for dealing with multiple opponents
William Lopez
Divide and conquer. If you're getting surrounded, launching enemies is a great way to buy yourself some time while keeping some crowd control.
Also, starting up the roulette will position you against enemies. If someone's coming at you from an angle, start up the roulette to target them and then cancel, it's faster than rotating to face them.
Anthony Hall
As soon as I turn around to run, I get jack-hammered in the ass by at least two fuckers.
My timing sucks. I always get hit before I let loose.
On level Die, they almost always block or dodge my sweeps and charges. I guess I should grovel.
Connor Jones
if you're really having trouble buy Drunken Fist. Its pretty goddamned good
Jose Stewart
Side kick (if that's what the move is called, it's been a while) is your friend. That shit will send enemies flying giving you some room to breathe.
Dylan Collins
Shannon is kicking my ass. What do?
Wyatt Wilson
High Side Kick. It launched stunned enemies and is loopable with wall bounce Good range, quick startup, almost none or cancellable recovery
Ryder Clark
I got lucky enough to go into that fight with a full tension meter and 3 god reels. Use the center cage to block her projectiles and throw shit at her whenever you can. DO NOT go for the goodies inside the cage unless you want to fight more enemies.
Thomas Martinez
Good tip: almost every fucking move in the game can be canceled into stationary dodge. Most obvious use is with the Yes-Man Kablaam, which goes from being silly to being really fucking good if you want to cheese anything that isn't level die.
Stationary dodge is also the most reliable way to just avoid anything if you time it well. Some boss moves, charges, and projectiles have to be side- or back-dodged but when in doubt, you can probably just hit right stick up.
Brandon Turner
Human Shannon? Her pattern is fairly simple Just backflip from her attack. Don't duck
Juan Turner
What secret moves?
Dylan Baker
Fuck you guys, now I feel like playing God Hand again and my PS2 and copy of the game are hundreds of miles away
Asher Hernandez
Stuff like Duck+Triangle for a Sweep I guess
Xavier Murphy
The PS3 digital version was $2.50 a week or so ago. That pushed me into buying it and replaying even though I have the PS2 version and my PS2 is always hooked up.
Liam Roberts
Back + triangle with enemies knocked down in front of you = chargeable axe kick, bounces enemies and launches them Forward + triangle with high-launched (head-level or higher) enemies in front of you = chargeable shoryuken, re-launches a bit Back + X with enemies knocked down in front of you = sweep kick, doesn't launch
All three of these are available no matter what your move loadout is.
Caleb Miller
Forward+Triangle does Jumping Roundhouse Shoryuken is Back+Triangle for launched enemies
Lucas Flores
Is that secret sweep kick the same sweep you can change in the movelist?
Nathaniel Sullivan
It is. That's why you don't put it in your movelist. It's always available and not contextual like the others
Angel Richardson
Whoops yeah, my bad. Been a while since I played and get those two mixed up a lot.
Liam Gonzalez
>Stage 8-1
Nathaniel Thompson
I can't seem to approach her and she always slips out of my attacks.
Robert Allen
God Hand is a great example of Clover's old AA charm, and by extension, Capcom and early Platinum's too.
Easton Nelson
I think most people who try the game for the first time end up using dash attacks as a crutch for a little bit until they've gotten more confident with dodging.
Owen Johnson
Backflip once or twice when she escape your combo and light up her stick, then go back in after she finish Also try to be up close as much as possible since she has a tendency to use the projectile on range
Tyler Moore
>spam sweep kick >fly boss doesn't have any low attacks that can hit you out of it
Charles Thompson
Damn it, I almost suppressed those memories...
Xavier Russell
>Oh sweet another Tiger Joe fight >Those other guys behind him are just going to watch, right?
Robert Parker
If you do good enough in the cannonball minigame you'll just get one wave I think
