PlayStation Nation General #GreatnessAwaits #4ThePlayers

In this thread we discuss the blatant supremacy of the PS4 platform and predict just how much assrape will take place at E3 with Sony: The Show 17

What have you guys been playing recently? Did you grab Persona and play it on Challenge Mode like a man? Horizon? Yakuza? Gravity Rush? Nioh? Nier? Did you finally beat Last Guardian? Have you been playing any FUCKing weeaboo games lately, you disgusting nerd!?

To those who got a Pro, how have you been enjoying that Beast mode?

To those two wealthy assholes with a PSVR, what the hell have you been playing?

As always only Sonybros are allowed, Nin10yearolds Xbots and PCkuckolds please return to your designated slums.

You must have heard the news about Scorpio.

>that feel when you realize #4ThePlayers isn't just a slogan
>it's unironically a philosophy Sony as a company lives by
>they're literally doing everything they can to be the platform that has the most games, most efficient and affordable hardware by modern standards for AAA games, most diverse library, best controller for 20 years straight but now with motion controls and a touchscreen, VR capable if you want it, able to stream games on PC or a mobile device, and completely capable of gimmicks gameplay if you so desire it
>Kaz himself literally kicked down the doors at Square Enix HQ, walked straight into the CEO's office, grabbed the phone out of his hand and hung it up, pulled out his dick, slammed it flat across the Square CEOs desk and stared him dead in the eyes without saying a word for 5 minutes straight, then left.
>1 year later the Final Fantasy VII Remake trailer comes out and all the FFXV sales are on PlayStation.

I don't care what you think of me. I've never enjoyed video games more in my life than I do now, and I owe it all to Sony. The PlayStation 4 was a console so good, on Switch release date I actually held up the lines by forcing the girl at GameStop to exchange my old PS4 for a PS4 Pro. She kept trying to convince me to buy a used Slim for some reason, but I wouldn't bite: I knew Gamestop would get money from used console sales, and I can't have that: the money needs to go straight to Sony. This is also why I make an effort to buy games digitally as much as possible: this way 100% of my money goes to the developers and Sony, and I already have a 2TB HDD on my hard drive.

Every other person I know who has a PS4 just loves it and I see them playing on it all the time. I've never met a single PS4 owner who wasn't looking forward to all the games on the horizon or didn't have a ton of games for their console already.

They really are, unironically, without any trace of forced marketing or corporatism, For The Players.

Based

Playing Drawn to Death right now actually

>tfw you pay $600 to play No Games: The Game at TRUE uncheckerboxed 4k at rock solid 60 frames per second complete with HDR and 16x MSAA

Woah... so this.. is the POWER.... of the Xbox Scorpio...

Had tears in my eyes just reading this lads

I did actually.
To be honest I'm kind of jealous.
Can you play the game of the year on it?

>tfw too many games

Unironically, without any shitposting, I am proud of the PlayStation Nation for actually going out, or digitally downloading, or amazon priming these games.

Games like Nier, Nioh, Persona, Horizon, Last Guardian and Gravity Rush actually selling over a million copies means that the developers know even if some of the titles only break a million, there are still players out there who will support the games. Not only that, but there's titles for absolutely anyone.

Feels good man

I got a Pro, but cannot for the life of me tell you why. The PS4 is undoubtedly the worst console I've owned.

Absolutely all of the exclusives, the Horizons, Nier, etc look like generic, bland trash. I can honestly see myself selling it at the end of 2017. Plus they did nothing but make a bad controller worse on the Pro.

Just sell it right now to someone who deserves it if ypu hate video games so much

>Being the one guy who actually returned a PS4 Pro.

Well I guess someone has to help FUCKING gamestop hang in there.

I recently been playing Tearaway Unfolded and Discjam and I haven't been playing a lot of games because my dpad is all busted up from playing fighting games. Second time this has happened to me. I can't believe I'm gonna have to buy another controller again.

I'm gonna marry Alloy! Wish me luck guys!
Also, fuck Zelda!

Nice falseflag, us Sonychads actually have girlfriends

I love this pasta

What are the best themes?

It doesn't matter if From and Sony Japan Studio make another Bloodborne; as long as it is on the ShitStation 4, I won't buy it.

Sony needs to make the PlayStation 5 already that can provide the following:

Bloodborne The Old Hunter Edition REMASTERED
4K(1440p is "fine'' as long as it has 144fps option) 60fps MAX SETTINGS.
- no frame pacing issues - no chromatic abberation
- option to disable motion blur and depth of field
- reduced loading times to 5-10 sec (my SSD loads DS3 in 3sec).

THEN and ONLY THEN, will I buy a Sony product.

As long as ShitStation 4 is their main device I won't buy their games. Period.

What are they gonna do next E3? I thought they couldn't top their 2015 presentation, but then 2016 happened.

What's on the table for 2017? Are they gonna skip Gamescon this year as well?

Enough with the memes sonyfellas, how the fuck do we save the PS4? What happened with the beast mode? Is it enough to compete with the scorpio? Or should we wait for the PS5 and pretend that nothing is wrong?

>E3 2017
>God of War gameplay
>Last of Us II date announced
>Spider-Man gameplay
>Price cut of PS4 Pro to $299, slim is now $229
>DMC 5 Sony exclusive

It will sell more than Wii.

>my dpad is all busted up
>d-pad
>broken

Knack 2

This image personifies my experience with the Ps4. All those games look so promising or are promising upon release. After playing Yakuza 0, Yakuza literally became one of my favorite gaming series as I bough 1-4 on amazon and I am currently on 2 and am loving the experience. Gravity Rush remastered is a beauty and I hope to get the sequel. Currently playing Persona 5 and it's just a fucking blast, this is my first persona and I literally bought all the other main persona games yesterday because I love 5 so much. I haven't played Last of us or Ni no kuni bit these sequels may incline me to do so. Detroit looks incredibly badass. I got an Xbox back in 2014 then got a PS4 in 2015 and I don't regret it at all. So glad I got the system. If anyone can give me incite on the experience of the pro I would appreciate it in comparison to the base model.

1- I don't think they'll show gameplay. Probably a trailer and release date
2- I think it's too early to get a release date, or rather, they wouldn't give now a date for over two years launch windows. But I can imagine a gameplay demo like 2011
3- That would be rad, and I can see it happening, considering the movie is a month later.
4- Unlikely at E3 imo, but I can see it happening by holidays, so... announcement at TGS again?
5- Year exclusive at best, or Console exclusive. Capcom has weird ways to do exclusive deals, and I don't think DMC is the place they'll be trying it full force

I can see it surpasing the Wii numbers by the time the next one gets announces, not this year, tho'

I just want Shenmue 3 and Knack 2.
Maybe Spider-Man

>I can see it surpasing the Wii numbers by the time the next one gets announces, not this year, tho'
Only in the long-term since Sony will support PS4 up until 2019~2020

No Resident Evil 2 Remake?

Not e3 worthy, unless it had PSVR support or some shit there's no reason it would be at the Sony conference

Not that user, but I think They'll save that for PSX later this year if there's already something in the works.

>not wanting to make money out of nostalgia fags
RE2:Remake will sell a lot

im a neogaf poster as well

any fellow gaffers here?

Do you have that webm of Kaz playing sax?

Is it PS4 exclusive?

no but it may receive a Switch port

Then there's no reason for Sony to show it

kek spoke too soon with microshits project scorpio

Am I really missing out if I don't own a Pro?

Only thing known about REmake 2 is that it's happening. The highers up greenlighted it while Capcom was wrapping up VII, and that's about it.
No platforms (I'm gonna assume it's multiplat since it's RE) and they won't go far beyond what they did on REmake and Zero's remaster, so I think the Switch can handle it.
Heck, the PS3 and 360 could too if they want it to.

>Capcom will release a proper resident evil
>RE7 fags will realize they spent 60 bucks in a meme shit
>They will realize their past 10 years of asking for capcom for another "back to the roots" was a mistake

Not really, I have one with a 1080p TV and the best thing I've got is that some games load faster, but they run pretty much the same.
And while it's a nice improvement, I¿m not sure it's worth 100 extra bucks.
If you have a 4Ktv already, I guess it's the obvious choice.

God, no, please don't.

I misread the RE7 bit. I really hope 7 to be a one hit thing. I enjoyed it, but I don't want seconds.

Yes, I have one for a 1080p monitor. Supersampled Horizon and Uncharted look stunning. Better framerate as well. And ALL new titels have Pro support.

All their first party studios make sjw games. fuck sony
Used to offer best hardware,, not anymore, fuck sony

Have my Xbox but beat almost my entire backlog. Got a Pro in February and bought a ton of titles to get me busy. I'll get a Scorpio probably if it's like $400 or less. They need to get some good exclusives though.

Only games I own I noticed to improve:
Uncharted 4: Runs better in parts when there's plenty of enemy ans chaos around. No dips
Bloodborne: 10 second faster loading times. Runs the same
Yakuza 0: Loads a bit faster, especially around mini games. Runs the same
No Man's Sky: Loads planets faster. No dips.

Games I played lately with no difference at all:
GTAV
Deception IV
Estival Versus
The Division
Need For Speed (Probably due to latency)

I love the Pro, but it didn't that much of a difference to me yet. Though I admit it was more of an investement for the future to me.

I expected to see more pixels showing more games in the menu :/

>pick up persona
>"guess ill be busy for a while with this and nier"
>see gravity rush 2 50% off a day later
>"ugh fine still gotta finish 1 but ill get this anyway"
>yakuza 0 50% off for easter sale
>"come on, when am i supposed to play this shit"

meanwhile at nintendo
>hey would you like the same game we released 3 years ago but with a "deluxe" in the title for 60 bucks?
>OF COURSE YOU DO!
>what's a "sale"?

Beast Mode is a godsend for FFXIV and WWE2K17

games with actual pro patches are all pretty noticeable as well New Tomb Raider 2, Skyrim and TESO being standouts, and we're starting to get western games that use HDR like Ghost Recon and Mass Effect, while it doesn't make the games good, it does give for some good scenery porn.

did Jaffe fuck up Drawn to Death badly enough to stop us from getting a new Twisted Metal?

It's a fine game, just needs to fix its matchmaking

Original Xbox had no games and was more powerful than PS2. Scorpio has no games and is more powerful than PS4. At this rate lets hope the Atari cycle doesn't repeat.

Hm i think i just want to see more:

Days Gone
Ni No Kuni 2
FFVII Remake

Probably a few other things I'm forgetting but mostly games like this.

Would be nice if we can get a status update on the RE2 Remake but aside from that Sony was on a huge roll last year, hoping they keep it up.

On a random note what's the next game people plan to get?

For me it will be Dragon Quest Heroes 2

There's a demo out in the pstore too btw.

I'm looking forward to From Soft do next. Blindly hoping they decide to re-visit the Echo Night series.
Realistically speaking, I want REmake 2 and waiting for Danganronpa V3 this year. I want HZD, but my current backlog is so big, I'm not gonna able to play it for a long time now.
Maybe when I have the time, there's more to it.

What else is coming out this year? I feel February and March stole the spotlight of the rest of the year.

I am a sonybro but this is just wrong

The first line of PS4 controllers has faulty sticks and they wear down after about six months of light use, the battery doesn't last very long because the LED cannot be turned off even if you surely won't use it and are not interested in gimmick ambient implemented in very few games. You couldn't even dim the light back when PS4 was released. As much as I hate to admit it, the Xbox One controller feels superior in hand, but I don't know if it has some of the same durability issues apparent only after a few months of use.

My PS4 was stolen and the Sony support was complete trash.

>Hi, my PS4 got stolen and the police needs a serial number, can you help me?
>Yes, look at the back of your PS4 console

So yeah. And they see my PS4 is connected and used but can't locate it for some reason.

Sony stored my personal information in unencrypted form and it took them a fucking week to admit the personal along with credit card info was stolen. A week my dude. And lets not forget they released 22M CDs with their rootkit that would install a hidden DRM protection on your PC. I owned all of their consoles even with their original PSX and loved each generation but lets not pretend they are all good and there is no usual shady business going on in the background.

Next time Sup Forums tries to complain that Sup Forums is Nintendogaf and that Nintenbros repeatedly shitpost Sony threads to oblivion I'm going to bring up this thread.

Ulgy kike

It's bedtime for them right now, see how it gets after school.
