Far Cry 2?
is this JonTron
>final boss doesn't want to fight you and refuses to attack
>The final boss is just trying to protect your only friend
>Final boss was your fathers/mentors party member
>Final boss is you
>Final boss was your original party member
Gotta be 18+ to be here, buddy
Always sad
>The final boss is something you have a stake in, and isn't just a last-minute asspull in an attempt to raise the stakes or otherwise slowly deflating balloon.
>There is no final boss. Villain dies off-screen
Are there any non-sequel examples?
Shadowrun Dragonfall lets you do this
>There is no final boss since you are the villain and you are destroying the world
Fire Emblem sorta?
Baten Kaitos kinda?
Dragon's Dogma if NG+ counts, OFF if it doesn't. All that comes to mind.
InFamous
>final boss just needed a friend
Metroid Prime 2 & 3 for a given definition of "you"
mass effect 2
...
>Final boss is just some random guy you met once who decides to fight you for the hell of it
>you and your rival need to team up to fight the pentultimate boss
>rival is then the final boss
>party member
>be me
>play Fallout 2
>get into the enclave's base
>sneak to the president
>make him OD on super stimpacks
I wish more games let me do this. That which heals in high enough doses can kill.
>final level is a space level
Styx: Master of Shadows
>Final Boss was once a (strong and useful as fuck) Party Member (taken halfway through)
>Game uses their level at that time as a basis for their level at the end of the game

YURIAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
>final boss was the first boss
>The final boss is protecting their child/parent
>the final boss becomes a party member in the sequel
YOU ONLY HAD TO FOLLOW THE DAMN TRAIN CJ
NOW IM ON CRACK
Give me at least one good game that does this
Doesn't Big Smoke just get shot and die?
I don't even remember him being high. Just him being sick of the whole operation. Ryder or whatever he was, screaming about being the smartest seemed higher.
I guess technically inFamous 2. I mean you had the schlubby sidekick standing up to you, but that wasn't a bossfight, and the party member who changes their mind isn't really a fight either.
>final boss is obvious from minute 1 but still supposed to surprise you by being the final boss
BOW TO ME
Dead island rip tide
>Final boss is your entire party minus you
2nd times this is mentioned. So i guess thats a real game?
>final boss knows all the exact same moves you do
>Final boss is the MC's old apprentice
>He uses the same fighting style as the main character
Absolutely
Then why is porn not allowed?
>it was your most powerful party member
I wasn't prepared for the tweest. Thank God I saved and did the right thing, killed Fou Lu instead. Or whatever his name was.
Because you can't watch porn at work, and blue boards are safe for work.
Of course a kid that doesn't work can't grasp such a basic concept.
>Nier
>Your love interest and who was with you the entire game is the 2nd last boss and was a boss in the other game as well
