What are some games that let me control my enemies minds? Like illusion magic in Oblivion and Skyrim, but I'd prefer if it was more fleshed out. Shadow of Mordor kind of has what I'm looking for, but I'd like to be able to do more with it.
Rpg, Action, Strategy, whatever, I just want to control people's minds in a game.
Benjamin Jones
bump
On the strategy side of things, I think Dominions 4 has races that can mind control, but it's been a while since I've played it. Xcom has some mind control stuff as well.
I think one of the later Assassin's Creed titles had a frenzy dart or something like that. That was pretty cool.
Leo Smith
Illusion magic is stupid and gay
Charles Morris
I disagree
Jaxson Johnson
Aboleths of Early Age R'lyeh have enslave mind for example. And then there's a lot of control spells (such as Arcane Domination that takes over the entire enemy force unless they win the magic resistance roll).
Nolan Ramirez
Thanks for clarifying. I might start playing Dom 4 again, I love the variety of it.
Cameron Perry
>Calls enchantment magic illusion magic I can't take you seriously.
Carson Campbell
>but I'd prefer if it was more fleshed out Then install some mods, dumbfuck. You won't find a better fleshed out Illusion magic system anywhere compared to Skyrim with Mighty Magic (or, potentially, some other mod) installed.
Jacob Martinez
Whatever you want to call it dude. Know of any good games?
Ryder Robinson
I'd say Skyrim or maybe Oblivion.
Aaron Gray
Skyrim's implementation of Illusion magic is literally Enchantment and Illusion schools from D&D combined into a single school.
Lucas Phillips
Guild Wars had the mesmer that was all about mind magic
Hudson Wright
I can only play Skyrim for so many hours. Even with mods, I'm tired of it. I need something else to scratch that same itch.
Ian Wilson
They even had the greatsword move that shot a laser beam of mind damage. >"Boooosh" said the greatsword
Matthew Collins
That type of thing doesn't really appeal to me, it's really just reskinned elemental magic.
Carson Howard
There's many skills that influence the enemies behaviour- punish them when they attack or cast a spell, disable their skills, stuff like that But I see what you mean
Carter Richardson
You can mind control humans and shit while being an alien.
Brody Watson
Then install some D&D game like Neverwinter Nights 2 + Mask of the Betrayer and roll an Enchanter specialist Wizard with a secondary focus on Illusion magic.
Thomas Moore
I loved this game.
Anthony Ward
I would hope that is talking about the original Guild Wars when the Mesmer really was very unique and was all about fucking with other classes without usually causing direct damage.
Adrian Campbell
Yes, I was talking about GW1
Dylan Baker
Thanks for the suggestion, looks brety gud
Jordan Murphy
One of those games that could use a HD remaster.
Joshua Thomas
I distinctly remember having a fuckload of fun with this game back when it came out
i wonder how well it holds up
Logan Baker
Just remember that enchancters are not really super powerful in D&D due to a lot creatures like undead or insects being outright immune to mind-altering spells. You can still use Illusion magic against them, though.
David Hill
>GW mesmer >just reskinned elemental magic
He said GW not "GW2" retard.
James Campbell
Agreed 100% Also I wonder the same... Haven't touched it since it came out. Might be fun to give it a go this weekend.
Blake Jenkins
In Underrail theres a whole branch of futuremagic (psionics) called Mind Control, it lets you cast a spell that makes enemies hostile to everyone, including their own teammates. Theres also a spell that allows you to replicate the effect of another spell, but over a huge radius. So basically you can cast a giant aoe frenzy, then cast another spell that cacoons you in an unbreakable forcefield for several turns while everyone just flips out and murders eachother. its neat
Michael Morales
You are mistaking gw2 fagmers with guild wars mesmers.
Nathaniel Myers
how the flying fuck do you level up illusion in skyrim? it takes forever
