What? That's completely nonsensical, Nier only gets murder hungry on the Shades in the 2nd part, AFTER the Shadowlord captures his daughter. He didn't like them at first (no Replicant did, who the fuck would like berserk, murderous monsters?) but he wasn't going around talking about how he wanted to eliminate every single Shade until their boss took his daughter.

Drakengard universe is different isn't in. In the ending E for drakengard 3 it causes the events that happen in nier by sending shit to another world.

But the option you pick in order to get ending D is something like "sacrifice yourself to make Kaine human again" and I believe Tyrann also says something like that. Is it just an issue of unfortunate translation and by "human" they simply meant "not half Shade" or some shit?

The shadowlord got pissed when he realized that the scientists, who told him that yonah would be cured in the future, lied. He already doubted the gestalt project and when he made that realization he decided to do something himself, which is why he abducts yonah and forces her gestalt into her replicants body. The sudden mood changes from the shadowlord, as he is the original and affects all other gestaltized humans, begins to make more and more of them relapse and go berserk.

devola and popola were androids that sought to carry out and enact the gestalt project, as humans would be long dead and gestaltized. When you woke up weiss, what you really did was beat his memories and verses out of him, which results in devola and popola sending you out to find the sealed verses to remedy the situation. Then the shadowlord kidnapped yonah, causing relapse cases to increase, and the event ultimately coalesces into weiss picking his friends over his duty.

After this, the shadowlord then locks himself up in his castle and devola and popola need to find a way in, because at this point they are desperate to execute the final stage of the project because the number of relapses are increasing. Then they fight you because they know you're planning to fight the shadowlord and kill him, which would end up fucking over the project completely, and then they even try to reason with you during their final fight, which the character refuses and denies, killing both androids.

They were simply trying to make the best of a shitty situation that kept getting worse and worse. They fought to save humanity and acted the best they could with the cards they had. Forever to be completely misunderstood, and forever hated; a cruel fate.

Not really. In the end all Nier and Original Nier wanted was their daughters, there was no right or wrong it was just two people walking the same path so one of them had to go. Nier just didn't care about Original Nier's problem even though it was his own.
