How are the underage going to respond to a nonlinear mario when all they know are galaxy and 3D?
How are the underage going to respond to a nonlinear mario when all they know are galaxy and 3D?
The same way people responded to 64?
no, he's italian
WHATS-A-MATTER YOU
So blindly praising it forever and ever despite its numerous, glaring flaws?
I dunno if you realize this, but most normies or even 10 year olds today have played Super Mario Bros on the NES or SNES.
I still have my old nintendo that I can't keep my nieces and nephews off of.
So wait, are underage going to shit on Oddysey or not?
I don't know yet, I'm probaly quite young in comparison to most of Sup Forums since my first Mario was Sunshine.
I just wish the humans in the city had similar art style to Mario and Luigi, that's all.
A game can have flaws and still be a very good game worthy of praise.
I got juiced for the announcement trailer but I'm pretty skeptical about us getting the next Mario 64/Sunshine from this game. I know I'm going off of one trailer, but there seem to be at most 5 worlds from what we've seen and they don't seem connected. There were some trailer breakdowns that showed how small that city actually was.
It's a Nintendo game, it'll be considered absolutely flawless and any negative critic about it will be ignored, just like BoTW.
>Sunshine
>NSMB Series
Bullshit
So op is confirmed underageb& from this post.
That was then, even Zelda would receive negative critic at the time, like with Wind Waker.
Not as many as Mario 64 has
>Paper Mario Color Splash
>Star Fox Zero
>Mario Party 10
>Mario Kart 8
>Smash 4
>AC Happy Home Designer and whatever that fucking Mario Party rip-off was called
Fuck off, shitposter-kun.
Wasn't Mario Kart 8 and Smash 4 praised?
So you're saying Nintenbros will suck Nintencock now more than ever?
OK name these game breaking flaws that make it a bad game
Nah Mario Kart 8 got shat on for no Diddy, Pink Gold Peach, Baby Rosalina, and a shit battle mode.
Smash 4 got shat on for being Brawl 2; "Down Throw to Up Air" Edition
Nice job moving the goalposts
>31 years old
>first Mario was either 1 or 2 on the NES
I probably should have left a long time ago.
I think you're talking about user reactions and user is talking about critics. Critics were mostly positive about Sm4sh and MK8. But some of the other games you mentioned did get heavily criticized by publications too.

I don't know mane those reviews are pretty good for shit games despite Mario Party and Star Fox Zero.
The fact that Star Fox Zero didn't get a 40/100 show that Nintendo fanboys like whatever Nintendo shits in their mouth.
Was the bit about MARIO and Luigi originally being from Brooklyn ever actually canon, or is that just something from the cartoon/movie?
Not him but
>critics
Kek. That user than was a fool to think that matters.
The fact you think SFZ is a 40/100 shows that you have shit taste.
No just not a nintenfanboy.
>galaxy
>3D world
>nonlinear
are you old enough to know what that world means?
>reading comprehension
Use your words better you stupid ginger nigger.
Also learn to read.
How did the underage respond to 64, Sunshine and all the DS games? Pretty positive I would say.
The slippery controls, the fact that every level is terrible, 3 water levels, the boring moveset that has run its course after the first level, getting kicked out of levels after you get a star
Seemed pretty railroaded despite the format.
...
>those precise controls
>those open levels that completely reward skill mastering of the controls
>those water levels that add great variety
>that moveset that hasn't been matched by any game yet
SM64 is truelly the pinnacle of gaming.
>Running around with soap on your shoes
>Precise
>Levels that ask nothing more of you than "Can you press the jump button?"
>Rewading skill
>Swimming through rings
>Variety
>Jumping, punching, and the most "difficult" skill to master in the game, wall jumping
>Has never been replicated
Nostalgia is a hell of a drug
The water levels are some of the worse levels because there's less movement options (on ground mario can jump, triple jump, ground pound, side jump etc etc, but on water he can only swim), but they aren't game breaking levels that make you want to quit. Everything else you said shows a lack of understanding platforming or level design. I highly doubt you played SM64, you probably just saw a game that had some praise and thought it would be cool to rag on it.
Looking between two screens with gyro controls in an on-rails shooter is unforgivable, anyone who defends it really is a Nintendope.
I bet the NYC area will be way to small.
No, he's right.
Why is he so short? It's weird. When playing the other games, yes I know he's shorter than average, but I never imaged him being that insanely short
>30
>first game, period, was smb and duck hunt back in like 91
>only started coming to Sup Forums in 2012
That was a mistake
>You just haven't played it
Typical nostalgiafag. I've played and beaten both the original amd the DS remake and they're both bad games that would never be remembered today if the name Mario wasn't on the cover. The game almost never requires you to triple jump, the only time you ever get to do it is if you're trying to speedrun the game to skip portions of the level, ground pounding is hatdly a sellimg point of the gameplay, and jumping is only fun for about 15 minutes until you get bored and ask "Okay, when do I unlock more moves?" I get that its the first game you ever played so its TEH BESTEST GAME EVAR but maybe one day you'll learn to look at things objectively.
I bet you think OoT is also the best Zelda game.
Wind waker was shown after gc tech demo link. Of course it looked like shit sailing a sea with the same color as the sky. Toon link is also gay as fuck
>The slippery controls
They already played Mario 64 so it shouldn't be a problem.
