What's the Sup Forumserdict?
Solidly good game due to its combat with some fun autism gear grinding if you're into that. Everything else is fairly mediocre.
too weeby
good combat, runs well (while looking pretty shitty), pointless story, overall a decent game
I find it to be a lot more difficult than Bloodborne
This, but I'd say the "everything else" is better than just mediocre.
Biggest complaint is the enemy variety. It seems like they tried to create variety by changing which weapon the enemy is using.
A souls game for people who like hack and slashes.
So how did Saorise travel from Japan all the way to London?
really enjoyed it but the enemy variety is severely lacking
solid 7/10
Harder than Bloodborne?
There is literally one fight that is any sort of challenge (Nobunaga/Yuki Onna) and even it is nothing compared to the dual shark man non-boss encounter in the fishing village.
>enters the Yokai realm as a visitor
>a player dies by a wheel monk
>disconnects the realm
>Become a visitor
>Umi-bozu
>Host falls into water or dies to Umi-beam
Becoming a visitor the first few weeks of this game was terrible
Too little enemy designs.
Not enough weapon types.
too many moves that didn't work on most of the enemies in the game.
Not enough actual weapon designs in the game.
Shitty BUY OUR DLC GOY ending.
Level design is pretty shit, with a few exceptions. Combat is great and fluid, genuinely fun to play. Story is absolutely shit and I question why they decided to use Anjin as a base considering they changed literally everything about his story. Music is so-so, the only memorable song was the one that plays during Okatsu's fight. Bosses were a mixed bag. Some were pretty cool, some were pretty shit. PvP is not out yet, but will probably be complete shit... All in all, I'd say it's a fantastic new IP. I hope they refine it and improve for the eventual sequel.
She was Irish as was MC. Why did you think she was Japanese? She didn't even speak it, she spoke Gaelic.
on par with DaS2
>nothing compared to the dual shark man non-boss encounter in the fishing village.
That part is so overrated in terms of difficulty, there are much harder parts in the FRC chalice dungeons.
I still think Nioh is harder than Bloodborne's story mode
Im not a weeb and it doesnt appeal to me
>Not enough weapon types
Weapons have enough moves and skills to justify the little variety of weapon types. Also the Date DLC is gonna add a new weapon type.
Bloodborne is the easiest Souls game I've ever played, so that's not saying much
Solid game but has a few glaring flaws.
>low enemy variety makes it feel like every level is pretty much exactly the same
>enemies start to become damage sponges in the later levels and I ended up just running past a lot of them because they were a pain to fight
>forging/upgrading gear is grindy as fuck, especially at endgame
>boss fights aren't particularly memorable
>the levels are kinda bland looking
Like I said, the fact that some of your moves don't work on like half of the enemies sucks.
Also, I could never figure out how to consistently do that one move where you put your sword up against an enemy's and force them to the ground.
I like Souls games for their exploration so not a big fan of this one.
Combat is nice though. Very forgiving because respecc books are common.
Katana was boring as fuck but switching to big boy axe made it tons more fun.
Ugly graphics but nice aesthetics like Bloodborne.
Nioh is too hard for what it is. It's an action game where you'll die in a couple of hits, often so quickly that sometimes I don't even realize it. I've beaten every single Soulsborne game and Nioh is easily harder, but it's to the game's detriment.
I gave up at Umibozu.
...
Umibozu is there to teach you about elemental damage/weaknesses
Did you touch the fires?
Did you light the fires?
I think Nioh was very easy. You could exploit spirit powers and regain with those amrita stones to easily beat bosses.
They give you fire buffs right at the beginning and two torches near the actual boss.
Solid 8/10 game. A sequel could fix a lot of its problems
It wasn't umibozu specifically that made me drop the game, it's just that I'd had enough of the game by that point.
Was a cute waste of time until a REAL game came out like Nier.
poor enemy variety
zero reason to explore
music is generally unmemorable
Sloth, Lightning and Carnage flat out broke the entire game in terms of difficulty but supposedly they've patched that now
I imagine if they make a sequel it will be an extremely good game because of being able to just build off the current gameplay mechanics a little and focusing mainly on expanding the enemy variety and level design. The core gameplay mechanics are very good.
7/10
Fun gameplay but awful level design, repetitive enemies, and godawful soundtrack.
>Fantastic gameplay
>Fantastic cosmetic options that should really be the standard for every game
>Great levels
>Low enemy variety will make things seem kind of stale after awhile
Overall, a 9/10 game for me. I absolutely love playing it and I cannot wait for the DLC, hopefully it will fix the enemy variety problem.
well they said they're going to add new youkai enemies, but i doubt they'll add that many
Ninja Gaiden 4 next, or Nioh 2? Or DoA6?
Bloodborne is the only souls game you've played then
>nuh uh the other souls games with shields in them are harder!!
Nioh 2 without a doubt. Ninja Gaiden hasn't been good since 2 and in the current climate fighting games aren't really that popular. Nioh has so much potential.
Fuku has no panties
none of those options
Do to Nioh what Bloodborne did to souls, take the formula into a new setting and tweak it so it fits
Dynasty warriors 9 is next technically, they are making it after all
Nioh Extreme Beach Basketball
Amazing core gameplay, but the lack of enemy variety and level variety really hurts the game.
Also in the first level I got super hyped up by how much gore there was only to find out that it's lame with the yokai. If there were more human enemies that would've been better, but not the same copy pasted ones.
God I want to mating press Fuku so bad. Just look at her outfit, those hips peeking out at all times just teasing you. Best girl.
Bloodborne + Onimusha + Dark Souls + Humor
10/10 game.
