Why can't I swing when I run? Why did they remove that feature when it was in the game just prior? That's fucking stupid. Also I don't like the stamina or the shields breaking.

Also fuck you, too many mechanics used gyro controls. Every single mundane thing used gyro controls when it didn't need to and I got sick of waggling my wrist around. Gyro controls should have just been a sword mechanic only, almost everything else could have been conventional controls, waggle or pointer aiming (which worked way fucking better in TP than gyro aiming did in SS)
I can't remmeber what it's called but those dumb missions where you had to collect orbs in some alternate realm and you couldn't get caught or step in water. Super tedious and made me lose interest.

The first one was fun, but then it makes you do it two more times and you realize the game is terrible and turn it off. And then you go back and realize that that was the end of the game and they decided t make the last third of the game pointless padding with no new or interesting mechanics.

Really it's harder to list things that were above average in this game.
Sword combat with enemies is completely one-solution. The most complex enemy in the game is likely the four-armed Stalfos. There's nothing interesting about engaging these because there's only one slash that will work at any given time. This has nothing to do with the motion controls as the directional slash system could be mapped to buttons.

What I hated most about the simmon says combat was how the game lies to you about it requiring any sort of skill or reaction time when really the enemies just decide when to let you hit them.
I had absolutely zero issue with the controls in this game, but no matter how fast I changed my attack angle they'd just block anyway.
I almost completely stopped using the sword when I got the bow because with the bow you can completely ignore the simmon says combat.

The world is separated into hubbed themeparks and the sky overworld is fucking devoid of anything interesting
the regions are practically rail-roaded puzzles with zero emphasis on any real exploration which makes the game increasingly tedious to progress through
the imprisoned is a forced encounter and really shows how fucking inconsistent the character design is, one of the things that slowly disillusioned the game for me

You can't. There's no medal, and you would have to constantly drink the stamina potions that run out within 1 minute unless you invest hundreds of rupees and items into potion upgrading which only works for that specific batch and even then that's only two sips that last three minutes each. It's completely pointless.
Fi, additions to the lore, the bosses, the lack of an overworld, the shitty, shitty hub world, the sheer overwhelming linearity of it all, collect-a-thons out the ass to progress the story, imprisoned more than once, seriously, the additions to the lore, simon-says enemies, basically any character that wasn't Groose
Oh, and the Silent Realms being more bullshit collect-a-thons instead of tests to challenge your Power, Wisdom, and Courage

Fi wasn't developed enough, her character was weak and could have used some background and better characterization.
The imprisoned was too similar each battle. If it's a constant threat, I don't mind dealing with it multiple times, but change it up. Maybe even have you fight it more times with different versions.
Areas were utilized to the max but needed more areas on the land, and to unlock more portals or open seamless transition between sky and land.
Otherwise I don't mind the variety of things you get to do, and really love the story for it's progression of the hero from student to holder of the power of gods.
