Is the mobile version of Romancing Saga any good?

Is the mobile version of Romancing Saga any good?

Romancing SaGa 2 is an amazing game and the remastered graphics were not butchered like the FF games.
It's sometimes difficult to dodge enemies due to touch screen controls but still manageable.

They once claimed that an english version would come out for vita so if you're optimistic you might want to wait.

Also I think you can use arrow keys for movement or something like that if you emulate the android version on your PC.

What's taking them so long to bring over the Vita version? Been waiting since last year. Also, where the hell is the other Vita SaGa game? Scarlet SaGa I think was its name.

>remastered graphics were not butchered like the FF games
That's good to know. Gonna check it out

No idea. I've heard good things about Scarlet Grace but I doubt it will be translated. The west doesn't seem to like SaGa very much.

Also try asking the SaGa general if you have questions

>dodge

You can dodge enemy attacks with inputs? Can't believe I didn't notice that.

No I mean you can avoid running into enemies on the map and thus avoid fighting battles. Once you get used to their patterns you can avoid enemies pretty reliably.

It is the ONLY English version of Romancing SaGa 2 you can play. They announced a Romancing SaGa 3 remaster but I don't know if they will bring it to the west since I doubt that RS2 did well.

The translation is kinda garbage and changed some stuff for no reason at all, other than that it's a great remaster since it fixes a shit ton of bugs from the SNES original and also adds some optional content, which unbalances the game a bit if you know what you're doing, but nothing major.

Romancing SaGa 3 is also getting a remaster soon for both Vita and mobile, so if you like SaGa games be sure to check that out.
>What's taking them so long to bring over the Vita version?
Nobody knows, Kawazu himself is currently following a lot of different stuff and the english Vita version is in a limbo for now, he recently said they'll probably get it localized after May but take this with a grain of salt, SaGa doesn't do well in the west.

Why does the western world hate Saga so much? It offers a lot of freedom, which western RPG fans typically like.

Well I don't think WRPG fans are really into JRPG's so they wouldn't go for the series anyway and there are just too many non-traditional mechanics across the series that really put off a lot of JRPG fans. The height of radically different mechanics they are use to would be Unlimited Saga.

>Why does the western world hate Saga so much?
Too complex for most people, not enough melodrama/cutscenes, not enough anime for most people to give a damn.

Some more screens from the remaster for OP.

>tfw no vita

Damn son, you're missing out.

Is there a phone emulator I can play this on? I don't like playing shit on my actual phone.

>Romancing SaGa: Minstrel Song
Yay or nay?

Get Bluestacks, the game also came out for Android.

You like non linearity, dwarf fortress tier of mechanical depth, multiple main characters with their own stories, a large cast of recruitable characters and great music?
If so, get it, the game doesn't hold your hand though.

...

Well, most of my other screenshots also contain spoilers so I think this will be the last one.

Is this enemy from the bonus dungeon? It doesn't look familiar.

No, it's a common high BR beast type.
The only new enemies from the bonus dungeons are the bosses.
