Dishonored has the absolute best movement mechanics. Prove me wrong.

Absolute delicious fluidity. Sprinting crouching sliding all work intuitively. Your height adjusts accordingly. Blink mechanic feels absolutely exquisite to use.

The only thing that comes close is the more recent FarCrys with their wingsuit mechanics and whatnot. Maybe Crysis with clever use of strength and sprint.

Why can't other games get this right? It's like they don't even know how to use their own game engines. I tried playing Arma and otehr shit like that, and it's like you're remote controlling an industrial robot instead of an actual player character.

makes the game fucking EASY.

I also love the gameplay in Skyrim Special Edition!

Tribes and Hexen 2 exist

They're as stiff as my dick when I play Nier.

The entire game isn't especially hard. Neither is farcry or crysis for that matter. But the mechanics and environment let you be extremely creative and have a lot of fun. It feels good to throw something at someone and blink stealth kill someone else before whatever you threw even hit the other person. Or to punch a hut in crysis over and kill someone inside and then super jump onto another roof.
You think i'm shilling a 5 year old game that has had a sequel and i mentioned 3 other games by name?

if a game offers stealth by default i have to play through it as a ghost, never being seen and never killing anyone, so all that creativity means nothing to me

sucks 4 u

Tribes is fun, but it's more like you're flying a glider with a snowboard on the bottom of it than you are a human who needs to walk and grab a ledge for example.

Not sure what you're getting at with hexen.. It's an awesome game that did a lot of things right for ti's time, but an example of awesome movement mechanics in 2017 it is not

I have the same problem but with knives. Literally can't use any other weapon in any kind of game I play, and it really fucking ruins a lot of games for me.

never reply to me again retard

I mean, I understand the compulsion, but I don't do that because it's not fun and there's no point or satisfaction in the end.

It's like saving your missile launcher for when you really need it, so you struggle through the entire game not experiencing half of it and then the game is over and you're sitting on a stockpile of awesome shit you never even saw once.

make me.

also your point is dumb. those are both good games, but are by no means relevant to the thread.

because you're fucking stupid

defend your argument then nigger. or keep getting btfo i don't mind i enjoy it.

because you don't know what movement mechanics are now shut the fuck up blink spam is trash

...

lol still not making a point.

your original point was basically like saying "CSGO has the best movement mechanics because there are surf maps"

You have yet to make another point because you've never learned how to socialize or express yourself properly.

i could prove you wrong, but it's not worth the effort

but, i would never get any rest if i spent all day proving people wrong.

>still commenting tho
keep getting btfo.

OP here, declaring that I have OFFICIALLY BTFO everyone in this thread.

yeahhhhh this shit right here.

Anyone have those Crysis webms where the guy is an absolute monster and abuses every tool and mechanic the game has?

nah, just that one guy (you) who doesn't know how to argue, discuss, or even really just socialize like a normal person. Any one of those three would've been fine lol

Quake is legit as fuck, or even TF2 for that matter.

if you're looking for great movement check out Phantom Pain...the game itself can(and will) drive you mad at times but the gameplay is just so fucking smooth and the more you play the more delicate stuff you find out

i'm not sure great movement mechanics are what metal gear is known for... i'll check it out though since i haven't played one in awhile. i loved most of them.

I'd cum on that face

Pretty much this.
It feels completely wrong playing it otherwise.

the series is not well known for it but that user is right that TPP has god-tier controls and movement. no other game in the series even comes close, and I thought MGS4 even controlled really well.

>people find this face attractive

I tried Dishonored 2's demo and is the aiming on PC supposed to be that fucking slow?

Arkham games
Including Batman's cape

Kojima fucked a lot of stuff up from Peacewalker over GZ to Phantom Pain but the controls are some next level shit ! you will love it!

i want to fuck that pine cone

gliding and flying feels great in those games but I always thought the on ground stuff felt kind of stiff.

that cape does look incredible tho, especially in AK.

I know it's a normie meme game
But Mirrors Edge you guys cmon

aw fuck you're right.

I hate those games with a passion...took me hours to get a rhythm going with gadgets and the freeflow combo stuff, than I put the game down until the DLC is out and I have to relearn everything. I had that with all four games.

Meanwhile I can pick up any FPS, Jump n' Run, Brawler, Hack n' Slash and so on within a couple of minutes but Batman makes me feel old.

Not webms, but this guy?

If you really like Crysis, and/or want to replay on Delta, watch his LP. He actually teaches how the game's advanced movement mechanics work.

Dishonored's movement is almost entirely ripped from Thief with minor changes. Mostly the mangling is improved somewhat as I remember a lot in Thief that mangling could cause sound as if you were jumping down and fuck everything up. That might just be that Dishonored has minimal sound mechanics though.

What about Assassin's creed?
Not sure about combat, but movement, climbing and all that interaction.

Also what about freerun movement in games like Prototype where you just dash forward and the character jumps or sidewalks or pushes shit out of the way on its own depending on what works/looks best.

i need to know waht that plant is called

This is why I can never have fun in games

What are the best Crysis games in order?
Only one I ever got to play was 2, never played 1 or 3

Just wanna be a big guy with lots of cool nanosuit shit

1,2,3 is the way to play probably.

-AC is quite the opposite of fluid movement cause either you just hold the stick down and everything happens almost automatically or interact with stuff that you don't want to.

-as for prototype I would rather take Crackdown which gives your movement a sense of accomplishment with the upgrades while prototype becomes too chaotic too fast.

1 has the most open ended gameplay in the series. It basically is the Predator game that we always wanted but never got.

1>warhead>3>2

great movement and combat but shit enemies and story

your comparison of tribes to a glider proves that you only played ascend or vengeance and have no right to be commenting on anything tribes related
get the fuck out

nice bulimia face

Rayman Origins/Legends.

Play them in order, but play FarCry 1 before any of them.

already has some dripping from her chin

Its a shampoo fruit or "Awapuhi". Has lots of medicinal use, sap can be used as soap. Juice tastes very sweet.

Just tried the Dishonored 2 demo. Not really bad, but holy fuck, why does the game suddenly take a shit on the performance once you get to Karnaca? First level/mission was 40-50fps on Ultra and my PC isn't exactly up to date, so that pleasantly surprised, but as soon as I got off the boat and in the city, it took a dive. Had to lower to High and it still stutters every now and again.
