I was always a nintenbro and didn't like first-person shooters,
but maaan original Doom on hard difficulty is fun as hell.

which difficulty in Doom is "hard?"
ultra-violence? thats the one I like playing the most. nightmare is just a pain in the ass.
There are two difficulty modes in Doom: Ultraviolence and Bullshit. But yes, Ultraviolence is the default "hard" mode.
Yes, the fourth one. Default difficulty is a little too slow paced for me.
I like the default wads, but trying to get into custom wads is painful, every single custom wad I've tried to play was shit
Nightmare is an added difficulty setting (DooM 1.2 onwards), UV is the real hard mode.
You ought to play Ultra-Violence with "Fast Monsters" enabled.
It's pretty much Nightmare difficulty without respawning enemies.
Nightmare also gives you double ammo from pickups, but yeah.
>Tfw playing Smooth Doom with fast pinkies enabled
Now if only it made their movement speed faster and not just their attacking speed, but either way it actually makes them a threat when you do get cornered by one of them
2017 and Doom is still my absolute favorite FPS of all time. Am I just an old nostalgiafag or was it really that great?
it's one of the few games I can boot and play anytime.
You should try heretic
I used to get fucked up on adderall and play doom wads to death grips, it was fun.
inb4 sparking a useless Sup Forums argument
What are some good Doom gameplay mods?
I like adderall it actually makes me want to play video games
Did you tried some in this image?
Try Scythe.
Very small but fast paced and challenging maps.

You never played the N64 game? Its actually pretty well regarded.
And also Turok
Was Doom 4 any good?
Yes, though it depends who you ask. I thought it was great, but it's not everyone's thing.
yea it's pretty good. obviously not on the same level as 1, 2, 64, but still a pretty fun game. Make sure to play on Ultra Violence as every other difficulty is laughably easy on the first playthrough.
Even if it has dumb shit, i'm sure it can be optional.
