Why are so many PC games trying to use console games to justify their PC's now a days? Why don't you just play on consoles? It's cheaper, you don't have to wait for ports and it gets everything. Trails 3 and most other ports can be played on a laptop too for example.

I just don't get why game on PC if you aren't interested in PC games so they try to their PC's into one. 99% of Japanese games were built from the ground up for the console experience on a television and it's been like that for 30 years

Games are cheaper, customizable, and better looking on PC.

1080p60fps

if you spent all that money just to play console ports, you're a tool

Games are no longer cheaper, these days you can pick up a physical retail copy for the price games are going on Steam. Customizeable sure, but PC's kind of need it since 99% of Japanese games are inherently designed to be played on console for the experience. Better looking, sure but you're paying a lot more on the initial hardware to do it and essentially trading graphics for exclusive games on console

just stopping in to say I agree with you except for the fact that playing games on a TV/couch sucks massive balls and a monitor/comfy office chair are much better, especially as you roll around with a wireless controller

PCs run games a lot better than any console I've ever used. They're also good for other things that are not related to gaming. That's why I enjoy the platform more than consoles.

who's trying to justify shit?

>built for tv experience
this sounds like my fucking buddy who's been chasing down expensive ass PS2 games he's been dying to play for ages but won't do emulation because it doesn't "feel right"

hilarious.

all I care about is playing games
PC's library just fills that need for me.

what if I play on both?

sage

I'm not hating on personal set up of choice, I sometimes play in a chair too. I'm just saying that the developers target a console experience when they develop 99% of Japanese games and it's western publishers that have to add in all the PC options to appease fans who wish to play console games on PC

I'm talking to people who dont do both, who only game on PC and refuse to buy a console and instead bash them

your buddy has a point..

>designed for console experience

If you have a controller what's the fucking difference?

inb4 muh couch

>I'm talking to people who dont do both, who only game on PC and refuse to buy a console and instead bash them

you obviously don't do both, though

sage

That makes sense to me

Emulation isnt the same.

Home Theater, doofus

>muh HTPC
nope KBM needs a desk and a desk does not belong in a home theatre

>you obviously don't do both, though

Oh I do though because I'm not a fucking idiot, I can just call out PC fanboys and your reaction should'nt be to instantly double down and defend them and take my post personally. If you use PC ports to bash consoles then yes I am talking to you, if you're chill and play games on both platforms and dont console bash then no I'm not talkig to you

That's the nu pc gamers, aka burned out consolefags. They say games like Deus Ex "aged" and absolutely refuse to play any grand strat games. They also play mostly weebshit and fotm indieshit.

What point? That he's an idiot for dismissing something without trying it? That he's too stupid to hook a controller up to his pc and sit on a couch?

You can still just mo a fucking ps2 and play it without buying original discs that are very likely to be super overpriced and scarce as hell.
And we know eventually all ps2 units will stop working o emulation will have to be perfected, because companie don't give two fuck about keeping games that sold 5000 copies alive from dead companies.

any shit you can bring to the table is objectively inferior to a comfy executive chair, though, get some taste

sage
I'm just tired of console wars and you're obviously a frustrated cunt who only owns a ps4 and I'm taking out my anger on your thread

>PC's library just fills that need for me.

PC's actual library or console ports? There's a difference. If you're someone who plays PC games ports should be the least of your concern and you probably aren't the type of fool who uses the opportunity of the announcement of a console port to immediately go and run and use it to bash console users over the head with it.

Who are you?

Non turn based strategies and FPS belong to PC.
They are just better there

PC is only good if you like niche games like managment sims, grand strategy, the weirder multiplayer stuff, emulators, etc. For mainstream gaming you should be using a console, not Steam like some faggot cuck. or atleast pirate.

PC and couch do not mix dude and unless you're playing SNES emulation just does not cut it.

couch is for jobless twats, buy a proper chair and enjoy the real gaming experience

Dude, have you ever seen a couch in real life?

As long as I read the word cuck I completely disregarded the post, why didn't you use it at the start?

yes, have you sat your dirty ass in a chair that isn't a 50$ ikea piece of shit?

fuck off back to pcmr with you

I don't get it, personally
when I see or hear about a cool old game, all I'm interested in is trying it out. I want to play through it. I find the time commitment and monetary cost of trying to track down something like Rule of Rose just isn't worth it to me, and I genuinely can't understand what esoteric quality it is that's missing.

I could see wanting to use an old tv, that has a tangible and real aesthetic change associated with it, but outside of that there's nothing there for me.

this dude seems needlessly agressive but I more or less agree with him.

I definitely love ports, and see them as part of any platform's library. I don't really get the need for exclusivity. All that matters is playing games. If there's a game I like, I want as many people to play it as possible, anything that shows other devs and publishers that there's an audience for it. The whole bashing bit doesn't really make sense to me.

butthurt steambrony detected.

I have more consoles than the average Sup Forums console fag you stupid shit, TV and couch are inferior no matter the platform you use

I have a PC too, bud :^)

k

Can't mod games on console, and for some titles it's practically essential.

Fuck your politic shitposting imbecile

well do yourself a favour and hook up your consoles to the same monitor you use for PC, trust me, stop squatting in the living room and start playing games the way they're supposed to

it's fun with friends

it's easier for your friends to suck your dick and vice versa if you're sitting high in a chair

>non native console to desktop class monitor
This is one of the worst things you can do you dumb idiot.

>I'm just tired of console wars and you're obviously a frustrated cunt who only owns a ps4 and I'm taking out my anger on your thread

Sorry but as I said before, I'm not an idiot, I own both but I'm sick of PC fanboys using every single opportunity to devalue and bash consoles. PC just got TOCS which is great, I would've been happy had PC fanboys not use it as an opportunity to bash Vita and PS3 owners over the head with it claiming PC is the masterrace and console owners get keked.

I'm sure you are aganst those people too as I am, I don't hate PC and only play on PS4, been an idort since years ago and I enjoy actual PC games. The people I'm talking about are actually extreme console fanboys when you think about it, only they use PC instead now

bros are not for sexual

This is true
It gets really awkward after you get sexual with bros an they just go "I am not gay, dude sorry"

thicc

no you silly retard
you should spread true idort values then instead of shitting up Sup Forums with, don't forget that to be a true idort you have to have a multi monitor setup and to be able to switch between your numerous consoles and your pc without having to leave the room, if you can't do that it's just a compromise
it's not sexual as long as the balls don't touch

What the fuck is a console experience? Just connect a fucking controller to your PC and wow it's suddenly a "console experience" with more than 10x the performance and visuals.

TVs are built with better hardware upscaling. It's objectively better unless you're running some $1000 Eizo crap (some day...)

no TVs are objectively shit for vidya unless you're using a CRT for old consoles which fits a desk just fine

Steam is expensive, we have alternative stores unlike consoles do.
The other two you just agreed with, there are no "buts".

>I just don't get why game on PC if you aren't interested in PC games
...

Graphics? Being able to alt-tab any time to shitpost/change music? Being able to use any peripheral I want as soon as the technology comes out? 144hz?

Irrelevant, you have to go with a TV if you want to play on something big.

I'm a patient person and will wait years to get a title for dirt cheap in a sale, and I fucking love mods. Simple as that.

>Steam is expensive
Then you buy games from fucking GOG which are masively outdated, have fun beech

>muh bigness

fucking normie pleb

>that res

so you own a shitty laptop

Or G2A, or Kinguin, or greenmangaming, or cdkeys, or any of the other key resellers.

yeah OP is buttmangled because some fags shitposted about some shit games being ported

Then add a TV as a fourth display and use a controller.

PC's do everything consoles do but better.

>What the fuck is a console experience?

Games working essentially, no need to adjust graphical options or mod games to work or worry about daurde fixing a shit port. Also being able to get up and running on a TV with a press of a single button and being able to lie down on a bed, sit in a chair or sit on the floor and have games be perfectly playable unlike PC set up. Being able to watch anime is also good using the controller since they have headphone output so you don't need extra long cabels for audio connect to PC, just have headphones connected to your DS4 and you have all the sound you need, it's way better than needing a wireless keyboard and mouse to operate a PC and a long ass audio cable and needing to precisely click things to get started and turn on your PC by walking up to it, it's not a streamlined experience. Console experience is extremely simple, concise and streamline and since you're not distracted to alt tab to Sup Forums all the time you sink hours into games without problem

>G2a
So they sell you a motherfucking steam key? kill yourself, please.

Steam is not the only store you can buy steam-activated games on.

Again, your consolefag-ness is bleeding from every post you make.

Games on PC are just cheaper, this is fact and due to several factors.
Digital is thriving on PC unlike on consoles where every ass is sticking to physical so they can sell/buy used.
Thriving digital allows them do sell cheaply - because even 10 years after day1, a digital sale still gives everyone involved income. 10 years later console games are not stocked and used games sales benefit none of the companies involved in the creation - only in retail.

It is still cheaper you dumbshit.

>So they sell you a motherfucking steam key?
What are you arguing about?
They sell you Steam key for cheaper than it is on Steam you dumbfuck.

>PC's do everything consoles do but better.

except be easy to control at the couch, what's so hard to understand about this?

Yes windows has Big Picture, but that doesn't have access to my entire library. If you're gaming on a couch console is the best way to go

>Why don't you just play on consoles
Because those consoles will stop getting support eventually and I don't have control over my games on consoles.

I want to play games at their highest quality, and I want to be able to play them on modern hardware that way years from now. The PS4/Xbox One/Switch aren't going to be modern forever, and there's no guarantee their replacements will be backwards comptabible.

And I say all this as someone who built my PC to play Japanese games. Nier Automata is my GOTY so far, and I'm really excited for Trails of Cold Steel, Tokyo Xanadu Ex+, and Danganronpa V3 later in the year.

By the way, you can buy a bunch of digital console games on the mentioned sites too, but I doubt you ever thought about doing that with your limited intelligence.

My PC is the ultimate media device. Watch stuff, play stuff, record music, etc. You can do more than just game.

Then again, I'm not usually fighting a console war so I don't really care.

BUT YOU STILL HAVE TO UE MOTHERFUCKING STEAM
Holy shit you really made me mad, congrats you fucking idiots.

Good thing I can do all that plus more my retarded console friend. ;^)

What does that have to do with the key being cheaper you stupid fucking nigger?

>why don't you start paying money for what you've been pirating for free, goyim?

see
You don't escape the fucking monopoly just because you buy a stolen key.

>Games working essentially
#working

So what? 99% of the best and most relevant PC games that are just graphical showcases for cinematic/walking sim games can be played on my laptop including half life 2 and portal. I have a tower for work and more intensive games should the need ever arise which is extremely rare if ever.

I'm just sick of fools using console games to justify their PC and bash consoles. I want to be happy for people getting ports and getting to play niche jrpgs but how can I when people use that as an opportunity to attack other paltforms I play games on like Vita, PS3, PS4? I'm an idort and I take offence to single platform fanboys and they honestly need to die

What the fuck are you talking about?

>no need to adjust graphical options
so you can't get your games to look better, why even live?
>Games working essentially
I've never in my life come across a game I couldn't play for technical reasons, maybe don't have a shit PC and these bad ports wont even bother you. Dishonored 2 supposedly had a terrible port, didn't even notice with my 1080.

>Also being able to get up and running on a TV with a press of a single button
Except for, you know, needing to put the disc in each time since you only have one shitty hard drive LOL. What's it gonna be, stock shitty 500g hdd, aftermarket 3tb hdd or a an SSD you cant store all your games on? How the fuck do you live with those load times anyway, as much as I loved Bloodborne, the framerate was actually so bad it was ridiculous, and those load times were the most frustrating part of dying desu.

>Being able to watch anime is also good using the controller since they have headphone output so you don't need extra long cabels for audio connect to PC,

Even if you don't have a soundcard, every pc now has at LEAST 2 audio output options, not to mention wireless streaming. Just link your pc to your tv and click stream media, use a steam controller if you don't want to click.

Honestly it all comes down whether you're poor and stupid.

If you're poor and/or stupid PC just isn't the right medium for you, and I appreciate that.

If not, there's just objectively no reason to not use PC, outside of exclusives. And the whole time you're playing those exclusives, you'll resent the shitty settings you have to put up with.

>PC and couch do not mix dude
They mix just fine. I play games on my PC from the couch all the time. My TV is connected to my computer and I just duplicate the display from my main monitor.

You've obviously never used emulation past SNES. PS, PS2, GameCube and Wii games are all vastly better emulated on PC than on their consoles. You can run them at much higher resolutions and frame rates and they perform flawlessly. N64 emulation is worse but many games run better than on the console, and PS3, X360 and Wii U is all in the works.

You do have to wait, but in the vast majority of cases emulation will eventually deliver an objectively better experience.

Also you don't know if the keys from g2a are stolen or not
People has ha account ban for using keys bought with CC fraud and at best they just get revoked from your accounts
The grey market is bullshit even if you "save" a few cents

I have my PC because I like to play a lot of strategy/grand strategy and RTS games, genres that are generally absent from consoles, but I'm not ragging on consoles because of that. I own plenty of them myself and enjoy them. I know some people will shit on those genres for "not being actual games", but they're one reason why I have it.

I have other reasons that I won't go into much detail with such as performance, convenience, local multiplayer, general media control, and graphic design. It's self-explanatory.

>19fps

Honestly why even play this? Bloodborne averages like 25 and I almost considered it unplayable, how the fuck can you not understand how GOOD 144hz feels?

I ask again, what the fuck are you talking about?
I've never had a single key from cdkeys or G2A revoked.

>And I say all this as someone who built my PC to play Japanese games

You built your PC because you fell for the PC meme and only realize you disliked PC games and only liked Japanese games afterwards. Otherwise you woudn't have dropped 1.2k in your PC and put all your eggs in one basket and beg for ports from other paltforms because you were too poor and stupid to do anything else and now spend your time being the epitome of a cancerous masterracer. That's all that happened with you.

it's just not the same, I don't know what else to say.

60fps, better graphics, customization, fixes, sales/bundles and I'm going to own a decent PC anyway so might as well make it a good one and skip the consoles instead.

Also I play on a 4K 48" TV (don't even have a proper monitor connected) from less than a meter away, and I play everything with a controller if possible, so essentially it's the console experience but with better everything, and I'm tired of this excuse being used because nothing prevents you from doing this on a PC.

Pic related is basically my battlestation. Can be had for peanuts, comfortable, mouse on the armrest, keyboard in lap for browsing.

>Yet another autism war thread

There should be a board dedicated solely to platform wars so I wouldn't have to see 6 threads on the first page every fucking day

You're implying that the average consolefag could even tell the difference between 20 FPS at 144 FPS.

FUCKING BASED

OP TAKE NOTICE YOU STUPID SHIT, THIS IS A REAL MAN SETUP

How? You launch the game, kick back on your couch and play, with whatever controller your prefer as opposed to whatever controller the jews force you to use.

You can actually, you know, use your 4k tv this way instead dealing with graphics from 2010.

>It never happened to me so it cn't happen
Google it.
>No lol you have to
vg247.com/2015/01/28/g2a-responds-to-deactivated-far-cry-4-keys-debacle/

>and it gets everything
lel

>You're implying that the average consolefag could even tell the difference between 20 FPS at 144 FPS.
I don't like what you're implying here, I think you're false flagging.

It's like the difference between a 480p and 1440p youtube video, it's impossible to not notice.

Who bought a 4k tv already, specially on the advent of OLED wow way to go.

With a PC you don't have a device designed from end-to-end with a controller in mind. And I already have a PC hooked up to my PC monitor

I just bought a 1400p 144 hz monitor. Games that I'm running at 100 FPS feel like I'm experiencing a whole new game. This is not something I can do on consoles.

You'd be surprised, a lot of people are kind of stupid when it comes to framerates.

What speakers are those? And stand if you don't mind me asking. Been trying to find something to make more room on my "desk".

Nope, the PC experience is convoluded, if you might think you have work around needing to add a streaming service to your TV, deny the reality of shitty ports, Nier Automata for example needed to be fixed, and downplaying the fact that you can't stream audio directly to headphones with a device you can hold in your hand and control your entire machine with.

These things add up, when you just want to sit down and access your content, sink hours into a game or watch some anime you can't do that with a PC, you need a desk and chair and a keyboard and mouse,

The console experience is what 99% of Japanese developers have in mind and they make their games around it. It's western publishers who need to optimize for 20000 hardware configurations, add community mods to get their games to work, add sliders to appease the autists who thinks graphics makes games better just for a tiny return on PC.

You dont have the console experience on PC no matter how you try to shortcut it, sit at your desk, maintain the only viewing distance you can, alt tab to Sup Forums and accet it.

Japanese devs are shit

Yamaha HS8. I don't remember the name of the stand but I believe the brand is Jamstands.

These are big though so if you're going to put it on your desk, make sure you have a lot of space.

>I don't know what else to say.

That's because you aren't very intelligent.

There is something to what you're saying, so I'll help you out. If you're a video game enthusiast, you may enjoy collecting physical games and consoles. You may enjoy having them set up, shelves full of game cartridges and discs, and going through the ritual of taking games out and putting them in consoles. And there's absolutely nothing wrong with that. But it's a niche thing that appeals to hobbyists, and it doesn't change the fact that the games are objectively better when emulated on PC in most cases.

Played the new mass effect on the PS4. It ran like shit, then downloaded it on the PC. Fucking great, no problems.....besides the shitty game. Consoles just need to die already.

Thanks. I was asking about the stands because I'm interested in moving my speakers off of it to make more room. I have some Bose desktop speakers I got for free and it's time to upgrade.
