All games have the same gameplay. The story is the only thing that sets them all apart.
When will plebs finally realize that art direction, graphics, atmosphere, pacing, story, etc. are all a part of gameplay? Or are they too genetically inferior to ever reach this understanding?
I have a shit load of gameplays in mind.

Besides the world interaction, the whole gameplay is simplistic (having powers since the beginning, fights, ect..)

Gameplay is not an indivisible entity, and at its core a game is just an environment to the player to explore which is why I appreciated movement mechanics having it's own subcategory. But even movement mechanics are subjective because although I wouldn't desire tank controls for most range of games they work nicely for the early Resident Evil series and similar games which share that sort of atmosphere

It's rather pointless to try and comprehend any single element of a game without understanding and evaluating the full contextual premise with it. Because a game is not just it's controls, or its enemy design, or its graphics, or its world design. It's a culmination of all these things. And ultimately, you are exploring and interpreting a virtual space.
and that atmosphere is achieved through pacing and fixed camera angles, not any sort of great shooting gameplay, it's just cleverly gimped. In fact you can say that RE gameplay is deliberately poor and sluggish in order for it to convey atmosphere better. What a great example that is.
Gameplay is more like when you feel that it's the good way to play it.
Like a fps mario won't work, nor a turn based street fighter.
