None of the problems the main characters had felt real. Trevor was fucking annoying most of the time, which is a shame because when he's not acting retarded he's actually really funny. Michael sucked and his dialogue was awful and cliche. Franklin was too bitchy. The online was ruined by Rockstar's greed. The atmosphere, physics, and gun/melee fighting wasn't as good as 4.

Rockstar is just as lost as every other western dev anymore. Their games keep getting dummed down and more streamlined.

The only other GTA game i've played besides this is the 4th. The whole fun about the online part of that game was how close people spawned near eachother. All you would do is run around smashing eachother with cars or shooting eachother and it was always very hectic and lots of fun.

In GTA 5 that shit didn't happen at all because from what I remember that spawns were complete nigger shit plus any cool weapons or cars you have to actually fucking grind for like WTF

The thing that made the old games fun was fucking around with missions before doing them. There's none of that anymore.

GTA Online is S-tier when you're rich as fuck. V had a decent story with high-production value scripting but overall the engine is limiting. IV had more interesting technological decisions.

It was broken as hell at the release. You're right though I messed up thinking they could improve the single player when it's only gotten worse since SA.

Spend time fucking with the config files and disabling the stupid HUD bullshit, and you're left with the definitive next gen GTA experience. It should have been released this way. I am in constant awe at how amazing the game is once you've done all of this. They ditched all plans for story DLC and focused on GTA: O.

It just opens the ones that were modeled or closed off, or the ones that are used once in a story mission and then closed. It gives you access to the GTA Online apartments and whatnot as well.

Do you even know what roleplay servers are? You can perform jobs like truck deliveries, bank robberies, cop patrol, etc, accumulate money, progress to more advanced jobs. Each job gives you some privileges too. There is a strict sense of progression and some servers had great communities, many events every day and so on. MTA/SA-MP were great, there are probably still a few active roleplay servers running.

The only thing I really dislike about GTA V is the lobbying in online.

They didn't commit to getting rid of everything that made GTAIV shit. The driving is still awful and the character movement is still a mess of stumbling, slow turning, and momentum.

Am I wrong, though? I mean, it's cool for the immersion aspect, but if there's nothing to do in any of those buildings than what's the point? Open up some buildings like fast food restaurants or places you can rob

V is just barely better than IV, but neither are better than III and Vice City. R* has discovered the endless money tree known as microtransactions so I think we can all give up hope there'll ever be another decent single player story from them ever again.

I think the success of GTA Online has pushed a sequel back quite a bit. I think it will be 2019 before we even hear solid info on a potential GTA 6

Having three protagonists was a mistake. It could a good idea narratively but in the end, you're going to want to stick to just one anyway. If you want to change to one of the other characters, you will find that they've changed their outfits and are in random spots you can't control, some even starting in a police chase.

III, VC and SA didnt need all of that shit...

Despite a definite varied and at most times fun single player campain it still seemed lacking. Probably due to the GTA Online development, which wouldve been fine if GTAO worked well, but it was a busted mess of insane load times and constant server kicks.

7/10 for the single player
4/10 for the online
