I used to be able to sit and play 120 hours of an RPG, no matter how shitty, in less than a weekend

>I used to be able to sit and play 120 hours of an RPG, no matter how shitty, in less than a weekend
>now I can't be bothered to get past the intro and play more than an hour of any modern RPG

How the fuck did I develop ADHD as I aged?

>Star Ocean 2
>shitty

consider kys please
thank you

I still haven't found a more memorable food system in an rpg

> 120 hours
>less than a weekend
What?

>he doesn't slow down time to play longer

No i mean I could play any generic shit JRPG and enjoy it just as much as star ocean

I played so2 for atleast 200+ hours

Now I can't even get past the intro of witcher 2 without being bored, or progress past firelink shrine in ds3.

Same with Witcher 1/2
Never even played Meme Souls

But I did sink in 200+hrs into Hollow Knight
Lately, I only hunt for some special indies that appeal to me, mostly metroidvanias or at least somewhat similar stuff like Ori.

They come out once per 1000 years but life is suffering anyway

rpgs today are tedious and not as charming

rpgs then had a lot of charm

You expended all of your attention span on old JRPGs

Nah, that's bullshit. RPGs today are pretty streamlined.

Story of my life. Ugh.

It's because you work all day, are tired, and have so little time that you don't want to invest it all in a single game.

i'm heavily invested and leveraged in tesla user, I sleep pretty good at night

I just wish vidya was good

well they're either short as piss or just tedious sidequest bullshit that don't really give much incentive to complete

the private actions in star ocean made everything I did worth it because that meant MORE private actions

Tesla stock doesn't return dividends because they're so in debt.

Look at this man and tell me he isn't doing the right things in life

>still investing in stock rather than market indexes
A fool and his money

>not just checking what the indexes are weighed with and investing in the best companies in that list

It's like you don't want to beat the market

RPGs are let down by obnoxious game design

I tried replaying skies of Arcadia and couldn't believe how long winded everything was and how some dungeons do everything in their power to last hours and hours. That one that keeps sending you to the start is fucking bullshit

It's because all these damn games are basically the same. "Wow, time to save the world. Again. How exciting ... not."

Plus the older you get, the less you give a shit about the usual dumbass teenage RPG protagonist.

>still falling for the beating the market meme
By doing what you're doing you're simply exposing yourself to more risk for no good reason, you choose to be less diversified because maybe if everything goes well you'll earn a bit more profit. You literally have better odds at flipping a coin than you do beating the market.

>you'll never get better returns than my fee-paying ETF, goy!

Yeah sure, of course you get better returns, you're exposing yourself to a lot more risk so why wouldn't you? But whatever, just remember that over the last 10 years only an extremely small percentage of active portfolio managers have been able to actively beat the market. You'd think that after getting extremely BTFO after the last crisis and spending years underperforming the market you fuckers would have learned by now.

...

That happens when you play the samey games. Also, the Playstation/Saturn era had the awesome fad of cramming as many sub game section as they possibly could. The fad now is dang DYI fun aka open world which is just gets old faster. So do what I do and just find some old games worth playing, man.

Children are easily entertained, you shouldn't want to spend so much time on every shit game. If you have taste use it and play good shit, if you can't play anything for long just accept the change and maybe find a different hobby or genre.

the reading comprehension of the average Sup Forums poster has gotten really bad

>Used to spend all day playing turn-based RPGs
>Have to force myself to keep playing one now
