What are some games that depict war as a harsh reality?
What are some games that depict war as a harsh reality?
damn, that's gay as fuck
Why bother killing that dude when he already won, just let him go on.
Spec Ops: The line
CoD 4
Star Wars BF2
Papers, Please
Because then he didn't win.
i remember some of the levels in Call of Duty: World at War were pretty grim
farcry 2 is basically about the chaos of a war torn country (and also te best far cry)
Because he's going to go rape your wife and daughter afterwards
War is the most fun any person can have, ask anyone whose ever drove a tank.
And the world wonders why we make guns
Red Orchestra 2 Btw, Rising Storm 2 Will probable be a better example but the voices are still WIP. I'll never forget Gregory Screaming for his Babushka when I accidentally held down the middle mouse button.
thanks
when you're dead, it wouldnt even matter, because your dead
Far Cry 2 always makes me sad for how much better it could have been. It had the seeds of a really great game, but just didn't follow through. I do like it a lot, still.
What about someone in Infantry?
>farcry 2 is basically about the chaos of a war torn country (and also te best far cry)
I see you're a man of taste as well.
This War of Mine does. Also, in its own odd way, Cannon Fodder.
Valiant Hearts almost made me cry
War is only not fun if you don't win or end up hurt or killed, so long as someone is firing back it'll feel good to kill them.
Exactly. Why should you care that he died if you're going to die soon anyway?
I can tell you OP your pic doesn't depict "reality"
Yeah going up against sand apes in the safety of a modern tank is probably fun because you're not in any danger at any time.
Earth Defense Force, while not grim, accurately simulates the chaos of a battlefield.
I swear every WW1 game has to end with someone getting forcibly executed for cowardice or something like that.
>war is good when you win and bad when you lose
fuck never thought of it like that b4 wow
ya got me contradicting myself, thanks user
your logic can be applied to your original question, if it doesn't matter what happens after you're dead who cares if you kill "the winner" before you go?
Ro2 is shit
