What you have to realize is that COD is a casual game. If you aren't a "cazuul" you won't enjoy it.

I only played the top two, but I think I lean closer to the opinions of the critics than the users on those.

Last one I enjoyed was MW3.

Call of Duty became a litmus test for true gamers. Hating it became a virtue signal. Regardless of their quality, good or bad, they became a symbol for a lot of people in gaming beyond all else.

MW2 warranted a rental, so long as you want to play a 2 hour movie and have some fun co op with the spec ops stuff.

Literally don't care about anything else regarding CoD, though.

MW is apparently "the best" COD out of the series and it plays like shit.

If you are used to old shooters COD will bore you out of your mind because you will be able to kill everyone in the room and have to wait 10 minutes because you can't open a door until a certain in-game event allows you to.

WaW (hacked to death, maintains a peak of 1.5k on 360. dead as fuck on PC, maybe 220 peak hours. no numbers for PS3 but I'm assuming sub 1k for peak, because PS3 is easy as fuck to mod)
MW2 (every game mode is fucking dead, on PS3 peak players is 1k lmfaooo. no numbers on 360. PC peak players is 763 checked this morning. 10 above 753 which was previous peak)
Advanced Warfare (nobody liked this shitty turd, no hard numbers because this was the start of the series dying hard lmfao)
Ghosts (2k peak on PS4, no numbers for PS3/360, and 4k peak on Xbox One. ironically all the faggots playing this game are playing TDM almost exclusively. go fucking play Grind, S&R, Domination, Cranked anything but fucking TDM)

BO2 peaks at 55k (fifty five THOUSAND) on both PS3 and 360. Unfortunately it's dead as fuck on Wii U, maybe peaking at 1k on weekends. 2.3k peak on PC.

BO1 peaks at 10k on PS3, no numbers for 360 but I'm assuming it'ss omething similar because BO1 is the godliest CoD EVER MADE. Even on PC the game peaks around 2.5-3k depending on the day. And we get mods on BO1PC. No numbers for BOWii, I'm assuming it peaks around 300 players still playing on NFC lmfaooo

Zombies is a lot of fun, I like playing it with friends. Played the newest maps just last week for the first time at a friends place, they were pretty good.
I wouldn't recommend spending your money on them, but getting friends to buy it so you can play with them is worth it.
Why do no games have split screen co op anymore
