The reason you see tanks wearing STR accessories now is because both the Shire and Proto-Ultima rings have parry in them. So they wear Alex and a STR ring to not take any parry.

You have to remember the devs always have to pick something that will work on male and females. A lot of the entries obviously only had females in mind.

I'm not sure I'm following you on your second point. You're not supposed to be wearing a VIT accessory on a DPS, and if you mean having a VIT materia in it for Tanking, yeah, you miss out on having 12 Crit or whatever on the melees, but keep in mind you have 3 melee rings to choose from, so you can donate one to your tanks.

What was the tank winner?

Alex chest is parry/crit, shire is acc/ss
Parry and acc don't increase damage and ss is weaker than crit.
If shire was det/ss it would better than alex.

Well what am I suppose to wear for my tank then? The Ultima and Alex ring are BiS for mnk and drg. Am I suppose to just use the Melee Shire Ring on tank?

There are plenty of well designed gear that isn't slutty female garbs but we all know that doesn't win design contests.

Parry has no value, shire tank ring is weaker than filibustier.
Just use alex tank ring and alex str ring, meld vit on it, fuck drg and monk.
Shire chest is good until you get alex chest.

People tend to say healing is easier on controller since you can use D-pad up/down to move through the party list.

You just need practice.

healing is easy on controller, isn't it? Just use the D-pad to go through the party list like an RPG.

I kind of wish i could do that on kbm but it's only a soft target meaning as soon as you use something you go back to what you were targeting before.

Only playing as a tank and 2 obvious dps roles is easier than healer on the gamepad

It's much easier to dps and heal on healer with a controller than M/kb because you have to tab to the enemy and then click or hit F2/F3 to get back to the tank while losing focus on the MT.

These people also don't dps and have the reaction time of old people.

I can see why healing with a pad might be better in some situations, specifically dungeons with a small party, but other times, wouldn't kb/m be faster?

I could probably click on a single name faster than I could d-pad down a list of 8 people. And this isn't taking into account useful healer things you simply can't do on pad, like mouseover macros.

You haven't really been out much if you think that design is even remotely slutty. I see young girls almost half naked or with see through shirts on a daily basis on summer. The "worst" part about it is that it's more common than uncommon.

I'm mouse retarded and lose track of my cursor a lot so I rely more on using F1-8 for targeting party members. I can get the first 4 with my eyes closed but the latter half of the party can take some trial and error to target the right thing.

THM seems to be one class that people absolutely despise.

I don't get it either. It's very unique with the stance switching and MP management. There are also lots of ways to play with tranpose before you get to 40 and your rotation gets ironed out. I initially started it just for switfcast but I enjoyed it enough to take it all the way to 50.

Honestly I wouldn't mind armor inspired by Tactics Ogre or something.
I mean they already have put some of the armor into the game already. I wouldn't mind more of those where it's elegant and practical. But chances are they're going to do a more high-fantasy type of armor. Which well I don't really mind. I can dig high-fantasy stuff.

Is it even possible to find FC's that actually do stuff at this point in the expansion? I'm a new player and it's been very painful to get clears on PF.

Recently got ex Sephirot down after a lot of headaches and tonight I got some experience on ex Sophia but I wish I could do this with non pugs. Been to 2 FC's already and nobody does shit except random roulettes once in a while.

This is the dead-period between expansions, most raiding statics are either already full and preparing for Stormblood or on a break until then. It will be fairly hard to find any until then.

Speaking for my FC, most people are just taking a break until Stormblood hits since they got all their alex farming done.

It doesn't help that a shitload of good games have come out within weeks of each other.

I don't know I came back a month ago and I was able to clear everything even Alex Savage with pugs. Then again I'm a neet so I have a lot of time on hand.

I joined an FC in Cerberus that's incredibly helpful and friendly. They're always talking both in the game and on Discord, and they've helped me run through so many dungeons (even low level ones). It's pretty nice.

There is literally nothing in the game that a controller can do better than kb+m. Some stuff they can do the same, some they're worse but can get close to the same performance with workarounds/macros, and some stuff they're flat out worse with no workarounds.

If you drew a venn diagram of the things the different control schemes can do, kb+m would be a giant circle and controller would be a small circle inside the giant one.
