pinguin is the best fucking cunt
That's one of the worse main stage themes. Try this instead.

sounds like goa-shit try this user
Chill Penguin > Storm Eagle > Flame Mammoth > Spark Mandrill > Armored Armadillo > Launch Octopus > Boomer Kuwanger > Sting Chameleon
Best stage order coming through
Also, MMX3's soundtrack was absolute garbj compared to X1 and -hell- even X2.
There were some good bits.

But on the whole it was pretty shit.

His stage is better than that song. One of the defining moments for me in mmx was blasting the hell out of tons of enemies while flying down a tunnel as super speed then dashing across to the boss room.
And getting the hadoken
While it was a really cool setpiece, it was pretty on rails.
>SNES
At least post the PSX ones.
are you so blind user?
The PS1 soundtrack is absolute garbage.

Boomer Kuwanger (?) is the best and I always save him for last.
Too bad that's a remix of a song from X2.
I stand by my claim that they flat out stopped trying after X4.

It's this song remixed and at 150% speed.
Fuck you I liked the doppler stage theme.
The rest sounds bad though, like they didn't put enough budget in the midi instrumentation.
Guess I didn't do good enough, I was just trying to say Gate's stage was annoying and the intro got repetitive as fuck. With repeated deaths.
that's the casual stage order
>not going by their weakness in reverse order
Why does X3 sound so crushed and the without lows?
Compared to X1
This. How can any song compare?
I thought that the only good PS1 arrangement was the opening stage
But the original version was one of the few tracks that were fine to begin with. I enjoy them both quite a lot
For some reason the tracks on this one sound more compressed and of overall lower quality than X1 and 2, even in official soundtrack releases.
X2 used just guitar/bass/drums most of the time but makes up for it by sounding clearer than most SNES games and they didn't used the samples of X1 so maybe it's just a sample/soundfont issue.
Not many people seem to be aware that X3 was outsourced to the same company that handled the GB MM games, which I think explains some of the lackluster sound/level design (not that those games were bad, but it explains why X3 doesn't feel as tight as the others)
Dude. Mega Man IV and V on the GameBoy stand tall among the best in the "classic" series. Not really trying to argue anything. Just saying.
Megaman II on Game Boy was also complete trash.
Mega Man X1, Mega Man X8 & Fuck You Mega Man X Corrupted have the best OST in the Mega Man X Series.
This cannot be disputed.
Megaman X8 wasn't that good, only Jakob stands out desu
Yeah I heard that before, makes sense considering how different X4 is from it and it was released less than 2 years later. The game is really good when you consider that they had to hack X2 to make it.
II was done by different company than the others.
Different company than I, III, IV, and V on the GB. They talk about being displeased with II and going back to the company that did the first one in the Mega Man Official Complete Works book, if memory serves.
The X series was a steady decline
I realize a lot of you started with the PS1, so that's what you think of the series, but that's also when it started to look like a washed out cartoon, and brought in more political? crap
The Zero series briefly brought it back to form, and its no coincidence that this happened alongside graphics that resembled the SNES, but it was too much in love with its difficulty and credibility
Sigma became more ridiculous as the story went along too, instead of becoming a serious but still comprehensible threat like Wily
My personal favorite X music is morph moth, but really, I could list 30 songs I wouldn't mind listening to on repeat
Lumine theme is up there with X vs Zero without being overrated as fuck, boss theme is memorable too.
Honestly one of the most consistent MMX soundtracks along with X5.
The Zero games are great. I'm stuck on Phantom's stage. I have no idea how I beat this so easily as a kid.
Best version of Armored Armadillo coming through.
wtf I hate capcom now
genesis does what nintendont

Doing Kuwanger after Mammoth lets you avoid backtracking in Mandrill's stage if you're going for 100%.
Also lets you cut off Launch Octopus's arms which is always funny.
