Pretty much everything from Shadowbane. Shit's a miracle of the fucking universe.

>Playing Runescape
>Charge people for a taxi where they can click to follow me and be hands-free taken to wherever they like
>People would sometimes run off without paying but some richfags would tip heavily
>Eventually figured out a route that stopped at most of the quest points that were reguarly visited
>Making lots of cash
>Get some friends in on it
>Form a fucking public transport company that has routes all over RS
>Draw up maps and plans for most efficient routes for cash through quests, skilling areas and main roads and locations
>Eventually have a huge clan of taximen raking in cash
>Figure out a paid "wage" for taxi drivers
>Take in all the profits from all drivers and give them all their wages
>It isn't as much as they'd make in a single day but it is far more consistent
>Nobody runs off with the cash because they'll make more with their wage
>tfw me and the original 3-5 taxi dudes run a business from one of the houses in varrock with drivers constantly delivering cash to us
>tfw ended up hiring financial people
>tfw ended up offering caravans to pvpers and people in the wilderness which would run food/gear out to them or which would escort grinders to ore deposits and protect them at an hourly fee
>more money than I know what to do with
>enjoyed it more than the actual game

Runescape was truly the wild west of mmos. So much potential behinda player-driven world and economy, if only the GE fucked off.

Vanguard: Saga of Heroes
Best crafting system ever made for an mmo
Now can be found in FFXIV even tho it's simplified it's still good

Flyff
>omg I can move in virtual world and see other players
>get hoverboard for even bigger world
>mindblown.jpg
>game runs 22fps/7fps in cities on my toaster but don't care cause I'm like 12
>talk with a irl friend about the game 24/7 when meet him
>spend shitton on Cash shop
>grind for dozens of hours bc first online game ever and didn't know there were better ones
Best times

I don't meant to shill, but look into Crowfall. It's made by all the same guys. If it doesn't star citizen out it might even be... okay.

The old UI in Everquest where you had to stick your nose in a book to memorize your spells. You were blind while doing it so you ended up possibly getting ganked by whatever thought you were a juicy target nearby.

I know about it but I'm not getting my hopes up.

Back when I player Tibia in an enforced-pvp servers. The server started a war and the side I was in lost, the higher ups gave up and we, mid-levels, decided we would kill random enemies and then run to certain spots in the map that would let us defend ourselves until we could logout, whenever it was possible. These were the times, we'd hang on ventrilo waiting for an opportunity to kill someone while playing on secondary characters or otservers.

>It isn't as much as they'd make in a single day but it is far more consistent
>Nobody runs off with the cash because they'll make more with their wage

Wat

Short term profit over long term wages.

Playing runescape late at night in the wilderness on my "pure" in f2p

So fun I'd run into random noobs wearing mithril and shit at like lvl 20 wilderness for no reason, it was great

This will never happen again because everyone is too fucking aware. The ditch and notices and shit ruin the fun entirely.

>fresh meat
>welcome
>who is this bitch
>whalecum
>cum well
>lol
>XD
every time

Pretending to be a girl and being a huge slut by having 5 boyfriends in vanilla WoW

I used to do the whale cum all the time. I'd still do it but I usually stop caring about new players in a guild nowadays

Not that bad, it even is on steam right now, it is unbalanced and grindy but I'd say it's ok.

i was a hero on flyff back in the days, last login was on 2012.

i really miss her

...

i now play shitty mmos on mobile, i like lag

F

anything to do with RO or are they just shamelessly stealing the art?

There's this terrible grindy f2p Korea mmo called Rappelz. Sunk nearly a thousand hours into it. I really really wanted glowy weapons because all the cool guys on WoW had them. You know WoW, that poser game for all the faggots with too much money... But man those glowing weapon skins looked nice...

But that meant upgrading each one of my rare-ass dual daggers to +5... And without the cash shop upgrade stone, there would be like an 80% chance they'd break or something silly like that

But like the stubborn idiot I was I went for it anyway. And I mean that would seriously have undone a good chunk of my overall progress in the game had it failed, but luckily I got amazing dice rolls, got both weapons upgraded to level 5 and now had faggy ass glowing daggers of doom and basically was the coolest 13 year old in the world

game was fun but

>impossible to get a town started because within the next 24 hours the roaming bands of russian hordes would eventually stumble upon it and destroy it all

is very cute, i have so much fun and the player base is a beautiful asian girl.

>Playing Runescape, very young
>Friend tells me to meet up at the fally north gate to do shit
>Spend like 2 hours killing guards and waiting around at the south gate
>Message: Where are you?
>Reply: That's my question!

...

Hold the fucking phone, when did EL get horses?

>First desert dungeon quest at tibia
>2nd job in maplestory 2007, ludi pq

that sounded fun as fuck dude.

i remembered destroying noob MAU's as ACRE was fun as hell

Any vids of this? Also, I've always been curious. Did EQ have legendary's in the game or anything of equivalent?

>F
Wait what did they do to it? I just check looks like its improved a bit.

EQ has named mobs every so often. If you're not careful and bad as shit they'll fuck you up.
They normally see invis and aggro automatically. As a ranger, an amnesia spell that knocks them back, roots, and gives amnesia after like 30 seconds (But they normally resist the root) is the only way to disengage.

Wanting to play them, but never had good enough internet. Dodged a bullet because I grew up to be happy and successful

Did anyone else play Gate to Heavens in 2004? This shitty game consumed my childhood. I lost friends over it.

i always wanted to flyff, promo pictures were always legal loli. kek

Successfully raiding a base in 10Six with my friends. You haven't lived until you 360 noscope some fool while zipping around on a hoverboard being followed by a bunch of tanks and blimps.

Trying to beta test Anarchy Online. I had a 56k modem and finally finished downloading and patching the client by the time it was released.

The day Sup Forums discovered Wurm Online and I figured out how to use the forge.

>early shitty mmos
>newfags posting MMOs that came out after 2000

This. So much wasted potential.

Does Voyage Century Online count?
Loved that game before they added classes.
played back in 07.

>early shitty mmos?
There was nothing shitty about the best MMO to ever happen

It reached a great deal of it's potential, then fucked it all up to try and be a wow-killer
To me, SWG was the final nail in the MMO coffin.

This

Dude I loved the shit out of that game, and I will play it again when swgemu goes beta. But it had a lot of unresolved flaws.

There was no endgame content aside from the pvp drama that players created. Jedi pretty much ruined the game economy and pvp for all the other classess. The HAM system was flawed at his core, making swordsman/CM and rifleman/CM the only two really viable pvp builds. The GCW was never really working as promised. It also had tons of unfinished/not bugged features, even 2 years into development.

But the worst was the fact that SoE never tried to stick with their original design and try to fix it, no, they just wondered what game they could copy to sell more subscriptions and ultimately fucked up big.

...

Come on now user, that's Beast & Bumpkins and not an mmo.

Man, I had managed to forget this existed

I joined a Burger King RP guild once without knowing they were RPing.

I had lots of fun with them.

For some reason people just loved grinding the seals on this beach. I made a tidy sum charging people to warp here with my Priest.

RO in general was just good times.

I'm sure all of this happened and you didn't daydream 90% of this after doing 3 taxi runs.

>lineage 2 private server using stolen server code
>didnt give a fuck since server was hosted so close(30ms)
>most of the skills broke as fuck
>quests not working
>grindy even with increased rates
>but lo, a bug!
>slot in the action to 'attack' in quickbar
>mash said button
>your attack animation resets but still delivers the damage
>this occurs as fast as you can press the button
good times
wts s grade ss/SpS

Puzzle Pirates here. Comfy af

Did anyone play this?

>Getting robbed in ultima
>killing giant spider boss in the eq
>getting robbed in the swg(and this time I thought that I was prepared)
>naxx and aq40 as a balance Druid in wow

>tfw I did the same thing
>someone eventually paid me to use this service to lure people into the wilderness
>spend hours each day helping these pure PKers kill dozens of people with ancients every day

I'm getting serious pangs of nostalgia just from hearing you talk about it. Pre-NGE SWG was just magical...

that naxx druid set was the tits

Lol bought that game with 2 friends in a 1$ bargain bin for a weekend lan, we didnt even played 3 hours.

The epic weapon were really hard to get at the time except a couple like shaman and rogue that were piss easy.

>play Ragnarok Online for the first time
>that catchy as fuck music
>go to Alberta
>see all those merchants peddling their goods
>it actually felt like a merchant town, like I was walking through a bazaar looking thorugh their overpriced goods
>join a guild
>actually bonded with them, those late nights grinding till 5AM for cards
>looking up how to do shit wasn't as commonplace, guides and databases were available but not as refined nowadays, so you actually learned and explored things
>that moment of pure bliss when you finally get a hat

I miss RO so much. I play FFXIV now and it's enjoyable, but nothing captures the pure fun I had playing RO.

You can still play legacy on a verified account - only 1 or 2 players are ever online on it though.

Name one MMO with good gameplay you can't because it's a shit genre

Thank goodness I didn't get into the shitty genre like many of you young boys

>didn't get to make friends with randoms online
>didn't get to explore worlds
>didn't experience the thrill and adrenaline rush of world pvp

...

>The cows fucking

i.imgur.com/4Grb84C.jpg

This desu

I pop in once a year or so and my old friends are still there, well into their 30s and 40s.

Boggles the mind.

Everyone misses RO until they play RO again.

Alde > Izlude > (Old Payon) > Prontera = Geffen > Alberta > Payon

Holy fuck, RO is probably on the best MMO out there. Joining a guild is really fun because everyone used to be friendly back then.I also used to play FLYFF,shit was so cash. Are there still any great MMORPG out there?
