People that shit all over this game didn't play Banjo-Kazooie back in the day. These are the same people that say collectathons are boring as fuck, after playing Banjo 15 years past release. They are also probably a fat disgusting over-entitled mess, like Jim Sterling. This game is basically just fan-service (which is all that was promised)

I will never buy a game that was developed by feminists.

I decided my purchase because it looks like Unity Beta: The Game

>Implying Sup Forums does not care more about shitty e-clebs then the game >Implying even if the game was good (and its fine the team promised fan service and thats what they delivered) Sup Forums would still rip on it the second it got popular (like undertale)

Yea, I decided not to purchase it after watching about 20 minutes of gamplay

I watched gameplay
>The animations, especially in cutscenes are fucking awful. Seriously, stock animations of Yooka staring at people with a stupid smile on his face regardless of the situation. A few animations in that music video are re-used a lot from what I've seen of the gameplay >They tried for it to be too much like Banjo except didn't take any or at least very little about what made Banjo charming >The main characters are stupid, a bear and a bird are an unlikely pair but work well with eachother as the two play off of eachoher personality-wise really well, neither of which can be said about Yooka and Laylee >The grunting is trying too hard and general voicework for attacking is fucking annoying. >It loudly plays over the background music which Banjo and Kazooie's voices didn't do. >While I haven't seen much of it myself so I can't make judgement, apparently they overdo the quiz game. The quiz was only neat in Kazooie and Tooie because it was a one-time thing.

I'm getting it because I have a hankering for 3D platformers and don't care about e-celebs or politics. I never expected it to be better than Banjo-Kazooie. That game is so ingrained in my psyche that I treat all games I play now like a collectathon. It's my life-defining game, and I knew that there would be no way to ever change that nearly 20 years later. But I want to see more 3D platformers so I'll put my money where my mouth is.
