Is this how bad WoW has really gotten?

Is this what Blizzard wanted? To make their players CRY?!?!

As a guy that never touched WoW what is Long arm of the Law? A skill?

>Paladins crying

Been this way since vanilla

Why are you posting this cringe shit here?

10/10 Quality shitpost.

Long Arm of the Law
Requires Paladin
Successful Judgments increase your movement speed by 50% for 3 sec.

Its kinda op skill in some situations.

Yea basically [Long Arm of the Law] used to get a speed burst every 5 seconds and Blizzard got rid of it and gave you another ability called [Divine Steed] that gives you a speed burst every 45 seconds.

So imagine playing a game for year(s) and your character is swift and quick and runs fast, and then you go to play it and he's slow as fuck, and that's supposed to be more fun? Thanks Blizzard!

Cuckadin tears
GLORIOUS

Are you a rper or something?

>Tanky

>AOE up the ass.

Waaaa, they stopped me from also being the most mobile class in the game. Waaa.

I'm a rogue bitch, you know what that means. It means I've been warlock and shaman tier since WOTLK. Fuck off.

>it's a "everyone cries about paladins being OP despite reality saying otherwise" episode

Lol Paladins ... the most mobile class in the game?

Says a Rogue with [Burst of Speed]?

Burst of Speed:
Increases your movement speed by 70% for 4 sec and removes movement slowing effects. Usable while stealthed. 3 sec cooldown.

>mfw

...

>"My class languishes in obscurity while everyone else gets OP buffs!"
What is every MMO player ever?

To be fair paladins were cotinuosly OP since vanilla. I don´t know actualy situation but when I played arena back in October retribution paladins had fucking everything, CC, tankiness, heals, free out of prison card, and shitted nearly as much damage as I did with DH in demon form

burst of speed was removed in legion fucko. rogues are just as slow as everyone else now

Good thing they can slow anything at anytime right?

nice reddit spacing, maybe you should go back there blizzdrone

I don't know what these spells are, but they seem to be loved by a lot of players

Did you just randomly replied to someone so you could just use insults that don't make any sense or are you an illiterate?

user, that's called satire.
We don't literally want you to kill yourself everytime you say something baka

I just started playing WoW for the first time a couple months ago. I thought WoD was fun. Why is it hated?

blizzard destroyed the way classes used to play and half baked some talents into the artifact system.

>Remove the need for gear
>Don't bother to tell the players about it

You tell me?

>b-b-b-ut they changed itttt

Still takes about 20+ seconds to kill ONE normal mob for a daily. Some people have to take gear off still.

Not until they fire the current dev team. All of it.

Care to explain what's going on there? Haven't played in an eon, and the idea of some new bullshit being so poorly coded that removing gear makes something work better amuses me.

Will WoW ever have something as good again?

Honestly.

youtube.com/watch?v=7jqj6ACgT1c

Just fast forward the song to 1:30 for optimal hair raising

It's hard to comprehend even when it's explained...

They removed gear benefits when fighting world mobs.

All damage is normalized against mobs now.

Yes. You read that right.

If you have high level gear, it will take you 25 seconds to kill a bear.

If you have low level gear, it will take you 25 seconds to kill a bear.

Unless you take some gear off. Then it MAY take only 22 seconds to kill that same bear.

>Isn't the point of progressing in WoW to get progressively more efficient at killing things?

THAT IS CORRECT

AND THAT IS NO LONGER THE CASE

I can't fucking begin to describe my face reading this. What madness led to this? That admin even admitted that effortlessly stomping old content and lowbie enemies is fun, so why would they do something that directly counters that?

Did u hear their lead class designer has never played WoW with a mouse? He admitted it on his Twitter.

That's like fucking designing a sneaker for Nike and then telling people you've been walking barefoot ur whole life

Pic related, the culprit

Jesus wept.

Because Blizzard is drowning in cash, and their success has spawned complacency, which has led to a bunch of weak devs being put in place to run the game.

In short, feminization of the company.

The argument is that because like in previous Expansions (MoP is the example), you would not revisit old content you could destroy in new gear.

Because world quests recycle zones, you would not have any challenging mobs to fight unless they normalized them, and that you won't care because you didn't care that:

>The mantid used to be hard but got easy because you never went back to Dread Wastes
>You cared when Timeless Isle had harder to kill mobs and didn't complain they were harder to kill than the Mantid

>So you should not care period

From this statement, it is clear the current dev team is oblivious to farming, treasure hunts, rep grinds, and other world events. Especially how this makes most people want to stop playing entirely.

...

And this guy's fantastic input on Legion Brewmaster tanking from pre-patch.

Note that Brewmasters were completely garbage and less tanky than most DPS specs on launch, requiring 3 major balance revisions to be worth having in a group.

that hair isnt going to unugly your face, bud.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Were ret paladins ever actually good?
And I mean good as in actually fun to play and performed decently in PvE and PvP.

That truly saddens me to read. Not because it's horrible, which it is, but because I genuinely feel bad for the kid. He's obviously a noob and has some learning to do. But sheesh, how dimwitted do you have to be make a tank want to "be damaged" ??? The best feeling in the world as a tank is seeing ur topped off in the middle of a fight. Sad!

Yes, Burning Crusade

>i'm shit so everyone has to be shit
Fuck off you shanky ass punk.

I'm going to put my idiot hat on here as someone who literally quit 4 expansions ago, but wouldn't the "old" solution have just been to put higher leveled/elite enemies on those maps anyway, but sequester them so they won't (constantly) murder scrubs?

Like uhh, hell, the classic Sons of Arugal in Silverpine forest, level 25 elites roaming around a lvl 12-18 zone. There's nothing stopping them embedding tougher enemies in zones and separating them by either physical distance, or even the phasing system if they want to use the same space.

I loved my Ret in WoD for Arena. RBGs they didn't do well in though.

Also for a while in Wrath they could bubble and lay on hands back to back without forbearance sharing their cooldown which was *OP as fuck* .... You would down them to 10%, they'd bubble and heal back up, then you'd down them to 10% again, and they would lay on hands. You basically needed to kill them 3 times.

I thought ret was shit in TBC PvE

Yes.

But the point is if you went back to farm rep in an older area, you'd demolish those mobs because you outgeared them. Now, they scale to your gear so even doing old, irrelevant content for titles or mounts takes for-fucking-ever.

yeah basically [Long Arm of the Law] used to get a speed burst every 5 seconds and Blizzard got rid of it and gave you another ability called [Divine Steed] that gives you a speed burst every 45 seconds.
So Imagine playing a game for year(s) and your character is swift and quick and run fast, and then you go to play it and he's slow as fuck and that's supposed to be more fun? Thanks Blizzard!

There needs to be a mass exodus quitting of WoW. Only then will they really address the problems.

Could you imagine if everyone in trade chat hyped up a date to logout and not sign back in again to protest the crimes against WoW?

Then again, half the players wish they could quit and are addicted so that'll never happen.

I'm not sure the phasing system works here, because you're not replacing one set of content with another. You're scaling mobs to various gear levels. The system may not support that much variance per unique experience.

The solution would be to just make a new zone like they have in the past, but apparently they don't have the budget, despite Sup Forums's grand wisdom insisting they wipe their asses with billion dollar bills.

I'm far too out of the loop to know how far they'd taken phasing tech, but since I understood the problem spawning this insane scaling nonsense to be some sort of "world quests" that depend upon you farming shit in old zones, I figured that players at the level/quest progression to need to do these "world quests" could be shoved off into their own phased version of the map and then deal with enemies made for these quests.

I'm so far off from the current WoW experience that I'm likely missing the mark entirely, it just seems like a problem that could have been easily solved with development techniques that have been in the game for a decade as opposed to making new, busted-ass ones.

>There needs to be a mass exodus quitting of WoW. Only then will they really address the problems.

No one will come back though. WoD was a HUGE exodus from a lot of long time players (myself included and my entire guild of Vanilla/BC players) that already came back because of "MUH ORCS MUH SAVAGE LAND." They're not gonna come back AGAIN because they don't want to be let down yet another time.

WoW: Part II, when?!

what the fuck
paladins were the second worst class in vanilla, the worst being druid
ret pal in vanilla was completely useless

MMOs are really getting into level scalling.

SWTOR started it, now TESO is doing it and WoW apparently jumped on the bandwagon as well. Even games like Diablo 3 have level scaling now, a FUCKING ARPG!

We can expect future MMOs to be level scaled because of that. I fucking hate this trend.

The guy who first imagined level scaling should be dropped in a volcano.

Ur ideas are valid

The new Blizz devs are really just that bad

They're creating more problems then they're fixing

Never hopefully. Blizzard has been casualfags for years now. They don't want the hardcore market anymore. Plus all the original dev team have left and are working on their own game.

>There needs to be a mass exodus

kek the game is barely above 2m subs. Most of those are inactive richfags who never cancelled their subs. The rest are chinese with leftover hours on pay-as-you-go accounts.

If they haven't done anything yet they never will.

When something fails you stop investing in it. WoW is no different.

>trying this hard to fit in

>325▶

>what the fuck
>paladins were the second worst class in vanilla, the worst being druid

Proof you never played Vanilla.

Only decent for PvP.

If they offered legacy servers in someway with the same expansion progression I'd probably jump on board. A clean slate with everyone else would be a great time. Sadly the community has progressed past that point and everyone would just min/max the shit out of everything. Whole classes would be completely excluded from stuff in certain tiers.

Even still would be fun to go through the entire game again from Vanilla through end of WOTLK or even the first couple of tiers of Cata. Would be even better if they could shorten the downtime and give us properly spaced content. Imagine only having to do each tier for a few months with droprates being much higher then a new one drops. Would be kept content for years.

Are NE still hot?
Surely they didn't go full nazi mode after the Sylvanas thing and make the hottest race shit tier.

They removed female NE boob jiggle.

World mobs now scale with your equips, so that nigga in full BiS items that used to 2 shot anything outside instances now have to fight a mob with stats so high he could as well be inside a raid.

It takes roughly the same time to kill a mob while you have shitty equips and the best equips. Some are even easier WITHOUT equips.

Barely above 2m subs ... Really?

That's pretty shitty. I wonder what percent are American versus Chinese.

Money is money tho, so even if they're raping cash from China they will keep on keeping on with the game.

I just want it to either get completely revamped or just hear the big announcement that the servers will be turned off and WoW is officially ending.

>The guy who first imagined level scaling should be dropped in a volcano.

If it's voluntary I think it's a fantastic idea. Being able to go back and help your friends through all the dungeons/raids while still posing a challenge to you is great. Helping friends in lower content most of the time is a fucking drag because you one-shot everything, but having the option to do both is great design. FFXIV has level scaling for public events and dungeons and it's awesome, just sucks because you can't use higher level skills.

I would just love to be able to go back and level in any zone whenever I want and still get similar experience. Like being able to skip all of Outland to clear out Kalimdor or Eastern Kingdoms would be hella fun since the questlines there are actually pretty good post Cata but you outlevel most zones way too fast now and Outland is a fucking drag after the 10th or 11th time.

Find me one vanilla tier list where Paladins are anywhere near top tier.

Holy was a shittier Priest, Prot was a shittier Warrior, Ret was fucking garbage and never good.

I've clocked around 6k fucking hours on 1.12 servers, so you can go fuck yourself.

FFXIV doesn't have level scaling, it has level syncing for instanced stuff not at level cap. If you go into a level 16 dungeon at level 60, you'll get locked to level 19 until you complete it or leave.

Prot Warrior- Low (high for tanking 5 mans)
DPS Warrior- Low (high for tanking 5 mans)
Holy Paladin-High
Other Paladins- Very Low
Resto Shaman- High
Other Shamans- Very Low
Hunters- Low
Rogue- Very Low
Resto Druid- High
Other Druids- Very Low
Mage- Medium
Warlock- High
Holy Priest- High
Shadow Priest- Very Low

Everyone knows early Paladins sucked. I think he is trolling you

Admittedly the period in vanilla where Paladins where elder god-tier was all of what, the first 2.5 months the game was out due to a certain skill being programmed wrong, so a lot of folk don't remember that was a thing.

Paladins always had the best glitches really. ravager axe spins always proccing seals, reckoning bombs, etc.

>If it's voluntary I think it's a fantastic idea

This. I threw this out there as an idea on the old WoW Suggestions forum back in 2005 as a way for higher level characters to play with lowbie friends or challenge themselves and a blue called me retarded. Fuck those guys.

Some recent census show around 2 mil unique characters playing.

There need to consider that part are alts, but there are peolle with subs who dont unsubed. So it stays roughly 2 mil.

>Imb4 census

It is accurate enough. It misses some info, but it isnt like they are accidently missing 3 million other players.

Is this just the western market, or is this including Asia?

Best buffs that scaled? Paladin.
Best heals in terms of efficiency? Paladin.
Best debuff for casters? Locks but Judging Wisdom was beneficial as fuck.
Best PvP utility? Paladin.
Best overall utility? Paladin.

And ALL of those things can be done by a paladin with absolutely ZERO talent points.

Paladins were absolutely OP as fuck in Vanilla. The fact that every major PVE populace is 70/30 for places like Nost/Elysium speaks volumes about which faction got the best hybrid .

Just because Paladins were bad at the primary roles (like all hybrids) compared to the single role classes doesn't make them shit. It just means that they weren't meant to be primary role fillers like no hybrid was.

But you autismos don't understand how Vanilla worked and what made hybrids insanely strong.

Im quite sure its All servers world wide.

oof, that's a hell of a fall from grace then.

hey everyone check out this faggot

Why don't you resub for old times sake Sup Forums?
Demon Hunters are a playable class now!

>It is accurate enough. It misses some info, but it isnt like they are accidently missing 3 million other players.

In Wrath it missed 6 million. Census add-ons are always misleading.

You did get your challenge artifact skin the first time the Mage Tower was up right

>muh six gorillion
Whatever (((you))) say

Thank you for a new way to trigger all of you faglords.

Do you really get mad when people type like this?

The distinction between alliance vs horde is meaningless now that every faction can choose any class in the game.

How is this a bad thing?

>Play Warlock
>Gotta sit still in order to cast when everything comes flying out at me and requires me to run around

>Make Warrior
>Smash stuff to little or no damage except for picking off low healths or large groups

>Make Rogue
>Die a lot because RNG dice and managing combo points

>Play Paladin finally
>Everything dies
>Everything
>Get heals and shields for days
>I have yet to die with this character still when doing world content or world PVP

Not even Gravity fucks with my Paladin alt

Does he play using just a keyboard? Is that even possible?

I really liked the unique lore to each faction. Limits on classes made your decisions carry a lot of weight. Gameplay-wise its probably better to not have such restrictions, but I usually play for the story.

I havent played since my SoO completion run back in patch 5.5.4 with guildies.
What happened to WoW? WHat did I miss?

hunter here,
i feel the same about kill shot.

No, he plays with a Wacom tablet. Nevermind the fact that he's not even an artist who's used to using one 8 hours each day, he does it to be a special snowflake. And he's the lead class designer or something in charge of abilities

I get what you're saying but imo the lore they've made to explain it is sufficient.

>That time some hordefag challenged me to 1v1 him in the wow forums
>I accepted, told him the time and place
>and never showed up
>His whole guild was waiting for me while I was at the gym working out IRL
