I'm curious what Sup Forums thinks of this unusual Genesis game. Have many of you played it? Did you enjoy it?

I myself think it's a really interesting and beautiful game, but I just can't figure out to play it; I never got too much farther than the octopus.
>download big zipfile of Rule 34 Ecco
>just a bunch of dolphin porn
God fucking dammit all to hell
it sure tingled my dinkle
>really want to like this due to its god tier OST and visuals, and insane story
>too shit to get past the 2nd level
I loved Tides of Time, it's a great and haunting game.
Between this and Sonic, SEGA really trained a kid to hate underwater segments. Fucking harrowing shit.
l-link?
one of the first games I played
shit was terrifying for some reason
The octopus is the first real hurdle. It forces you to slow down and be careful while you can see yourself slowly drowning the whole time. It's a good lead in to what the game has to come. It's surprisingly challenging for such a serene looking game.
Played it a long time ago.
I only remember that it was probably the first game to ever have me ragequit.
It's prehensile.
>the fucking future part in ecco 2
I was so happy talking with glyphs, eating fish and fucking up sharks, then that shit with the psychic flying future dolphins ruins it.

this game is really unsettling
This game taught me to fear the deep blue ocean.
Also, the open ocean level, that's just full of sharks from beginning to end? FFS it's just torture.
too many underwater levels
I had a GBA game that had this and Golden Axe on it, and I just remember being completely lost and not knowing what the fuck I'm doing with Ecco. Seemed pretty difficult for a game that looks so innocent and casual.
Sensible chuckle

Strange and amazing games. The plot is fucking ridiculous.
