memes are annoying, but gameplay wise Borderlands 1, 2 and TPS wasn't bad.

And it'll still be the most entertaining shooter released for PC in the last half decade.

To me, a good shooter is one where you can actually play the game without having to min/max on the most boring build imaginable. Sure you can finish the game with ARs and shotguns and whatever else, but when enemies two-shot you despite taking entire magazines to the face to die, it's pretty fucking stupid.

Borderlands is an awful series that thinks bullet-sponge enemies make for entertaining encounters or boss fights.

I think the berserker class was going to be the new siren, Sanctuary is your hub that travels between planets, and class items are going to have interesting interactions with capstone skills.

Aside from that, all playable characters are new. He said he had no idea about anything DLC related, and they are PLAYING around with a level editor. He said that was most likely a pipe dream for BL 3, but that an arena themed DLC with the option wasn't totally impossible.

That's sad.

You don't have to min max in BL1. You had to in BL2 because of the terrible scaling.
