Valve bans in waves, if it banned you immediately, the developers of the hacks would know that they're being detected.

If you delay the ban you catch more people out at once. It's a system designed to catch as many hackers as possible, not a a system designed to convenience players.

In all seriousness, Sourceforts was twice the game CS will ever be.

They never know if the cheats are getting detected, so some will not even try with the risk of getting banned.

WCA base wars were better simply because the only thing that mattered was money, and money was worthless. You could shove some money printers into a corner of the map and go AFK for six hours and have enough money to arm a small army.
