First time playing Persona 5. Should I go with the Japanese or English audio for my first ever playthrough?

how about the language you speak?
Persona 5 is set in Japan, so it would make more sense for the characters to be speaking in moon runes.
Eat your hamburgers Apollo
JUUUUNPEI COOOOOOOOOOON
KOOORUUU CHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN
english you fucking dumbass
WASSUP PERSONA
SAKAAAAAAAAAAMOTUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU
FUTAAAAAAAAAAABAAAAAAAAAAA
MAAKUUUTUUUUUUUUUUU
lol
why would japanese teenagers be speaking english in tokyo? doesn't make any sense contextually
English. You dont know any thing abou the game, and playing in moon are ust going to confuse you up with a bunch of textless dialogue.
NG is usually for completion as you wont be able to finish everything with your starting stats. That would be the time for a complete immersion.
In universe they are speaking nips, moron.
My main real issue with the JP audio is all the stuff they just didn't even bother to sub, I switched to english after there was a cutscene early on of just audio from a news broadcast they couldn't be fucked to subtitle even though it was important enough to be more than just background noise in a scene.
Even after switching to english there's been multiple points where I can tell if I hadn't switched I'd just be completely unaware of what was even being said if I hadn't.
jap
Some english voices are good. But the problem lies some are fucking awful
>Morgana sounds like a annoying 5 year old
>Haru is cancer
>Loli twins are shit
>Futuba is subpar as fuck
Why is there no game that lets you pick languages for characters separately? I want Morgana to speak French, Ann to speak Russian, Makoto to speak Japanese, Fuccboi to speak German and every other character to speak Klingon.
are the girls dressed that slutty in Japan?
Morgana probably speaks the most out of anyone in the game. The Japanese Morgana is my favorite voice of the game while the English Morgana is only middling.
English for the first playthrough so you can absorb the plot as fast as possible without thinking, then use Japanese for NG+. Yes, you will be playing more than once, this is non-negotiable.
...
It's a hundred hour game. Why should I play through the game again if I can just save scum/online guide my way through the endings?
The English dub is pretty decent.
My biggest complaints are Morgan's voice (the one you'll have to listen to most) and the fact the kept honorifics in regardless of language so would get a bunch of gross -kun and -senpai bullshit.
If by slutty you mean short shorts, then sure.
Nip women love showing leg.
>kept honorifics in regardless of language so would get a bunch of gross -kun and -senpai bullshit
I'll never understand why they do that shit.
Hell, if they're going to keep that shit, why not pronounce the Japanese names right?
You can switch between them whenever you want
>$3,199.75
That's an expensive game
>Morgana's
>they
>you would
I know it's pointless to point out now but damn, I need to proofread my posts.
Maybe I like to understand my game

For Filipinos
Japanese. Any textless dialogue is just background chatter.

I'm stuck between this poster and this poster . FUCK Morgana sounds so much better in jap than english, Haru and the twins as well, but the amount of shit they didn't sub is really bad. Like, When you get to Futaba's palace there's this HUGE plot point they didn't subtitle at all so I just had to use context clues to figure it out. It was horrible.
What is this that doesn't get subbed?
This is incorrect.
At a certain point you look through Futaba's memories and hear voices that blame her for her mothers death. However, if you play in japanese they don't sub this, so all you hear are some voices shouting shit and see the characters go "N-no, ...that can't be." or some shit like that. It's just annoying.
I suppose you could just switch to English at that point and then swap back, unless it happens over and over throughout the dungeon.
I swapped like that whenever watching movies/tv.
