Is Switch worth getting if I wanna get into Splatoon 2?

Bear in mind I did not play the first Splatoon, and I'm only mediocre at shooter when not using kb&m. I don't wanna be shit at it.

What's the verdict on it?

Fuck no.

Fuck yeah!

No console is worth getting for 1 game.

Yea just don't expect to be great at it after couple hours, it'll take a while to master. Gyro controls were good in the first game and are the best controls for shooters outside of kbm imo.

Also find some friends to play with (either irl or online) and you should have a lot of fun

I'm gonna get splatoon 2 and i only tried 10 minutes of original splatoon and i suck at console shooters. I really want pokken tournament on switch. Also, are switches even in stock yet?

...

A general advice for EVERY console: never buy a console just for ONE game.
Splatoon 2 looks good, the first game was fun and received free updates for a long time.

I'm not a big fan of shooters and I really fell in love with the first one and put about 60 hours into the multiplayer (which is more than I've ever put into any multiplayer game) so I'd say yes.

As long as you're at least mildly interested in Zelda/FE Warriors/Arms/Xenoblade/Odyssey, or want the best portable ever made as an indie box as well

This was the line in NYC the other day for them

You are going to get anally ravaged if you play ranked. Luckily enough there is a horde mode so you can be horrible at the game and still feel like you are accomplishing something.

The right answer though is to follow what this user said.

I don't think you can emulate the game yet so if you want to play, you'll have to buy a console anyway and it might as well be the new one

so yeah get a switch

Sure go ahead is your money

>best portable ever made

We weren't talking about the Vita.

Sure. One less frogman polluting steam or psn

...

>Vita's suddenly a success now that Nintendo's released a better handheld

I also love my Vita, but I always thought the screen was still just a little too small to play most 3D games comfortably. It was awesome for 2D stuff, but in most 3D games the details were just a little too tiny for me. The Switch screen on the other hand feels like a perfect mix of size and portability.

I've actually found myself holding off on buying indie games that have been announced for the Switch since it's such a joy to play, which is something I always made of people doing for the Vita. I'm sorry, I understand now

How, exactly, are you planning on playing Splatoon 2 without a Switch?

Vita had amazing hardware for a handheld but failed because sony is fucking retarded and didnĀ“t market it well and those fucking scummy memory sticks. They got pissy because nobody wanted to buy their remote play device and dropped support pretty early in its life. It was supposed to be the chosen one

nobody wants to develop full 3D games for a side handheld

i don't know about the ninty bitch version but after i finished the storymode of the first one i got like 3-4 days of joy out of the multiplayer and then never touched it again...judge for yourself

how long was the campaign? 3 hours?

six/seven-ish if i remember correctly but it didn't feel short and had a nice difficulty curve. shame that all together was just underwhelming for my over strained nintendo standards

sweet I can deal with 6 hours
