I'm not a "muh immersion" kinda guy, but this just seems a bit on the unrealistic side.

Plants still grow after radiation waves you know. They just mostly mutate.
Nothing looks mutated.

>Red Forest
>Waves of radiation
That's not what emissions are, try finishing the game before you shitpost.
>Except for a few trees, all the plants are dead
Way to prove OP right dipshit.
>dat ferrywheel
Shopped
Lol wat
>game takes place in indiscript western europe
Its either winter or fall going off their clothes.
> In the center of the field, a pole containing a radioactive isotope (usually cobalt-60) would shower the field with gamma radiation for about 20 hours a day. When it was time for researchers to go in and see the results, they would remotely lower the source into an underground bunker made of concrete or lead, step inside the field’s high fence, and inspect the plants arrayed around the center. The plants closest to the source were usually dead or stunted or gnarled with tumors. The plants around the edges generally looked normal but would be evaluated by the scientists to see if they had any beneficial mutations.
That said, the levels of radiation in that experiment are far higher than what you would normally see in the Zone. This website/podcast is amazing, by the way.
>Apocalyptic setting that isn't just zombies or manisthetruemonster.
disable the crosshair you cuck
not sure if shitpost but I just realized what makes stalker great is because you're so alone. there's nothing quite as uncanny as a city that is entirely empty
if I had freetime or a life I'd spend it exploring old dilapidated and "dead" places. dead malls .
Go to bed Todd.
>Fallout stomped STALKER so hard they abandoned the series for Metro, which also flopped
Why aren't there any female stalkers?
Basically is though, senpai. C-consciousness is pretty shit at explaining things otherwise.
>people still don't understand seasons
There's actually a lot more to the world of S.T.A.L.K.E.R than you would think from just playing Shadow of Chernobyl for a while. Blowouts aren't waves of radiation at all, it's something supernatural. From the wiki:
>An emission or blowout is a sudden and powerful release of excess noosphere energy from the center of the Zone.
>The Noosphere, according to the thought of Vladimir Vernadsky and Teilhard de Chardin, denotes the "sphere of human thought".
>During a blowout, noosphere energy floats from the center of the Zone to the outskirts in a circular pattern, affecting the minds and bodies of the living. The C-Consciousness can unleash the blowouts at will, usually as a deterrent or in retaliation against intruders, such as Clear Sky or Strelok
>No-man's-land full of dudes and mutants and shit
Take a guess.
>being retarded
If a radiation source has SO short half-life that it kills plants nearby, its going to lose its mass very quickly and become harmless.
If radiation source has long half-life it does jack shit, all the life on the planet evolved to tolerate small amount of radiation.
If it's a no man's land if should be chock full of waifus.
Pretty much this. All the radiation in the zone is left from the 2 melt downs of the NPP, with the smaller fields being created by individual anomalies.
>If radiation source has long half-life it does jack shit
You really don't know what you're talking about.
Love 99% invisible. Good recommend. Oh man, if we're getting into great podcasts, The History of Rome by Mike Duncan is amazing.
He knows his shit and is incredibly prepared and professional, unlike say Dan Carlin and his Hardcore History channel.
Fuck off, weeb.
>Bethesdrone trying to act like he knows anything about anything.
This is what the zone looks like kiddo
>indiscript
it's literally Ukraine.
>regular waves of radiation killing everything
but it doesn't. Just infidels not part of the Monolith's happy family.
the IRL zone's a blooming haven of wildlife, housing plenty of rare and even endangered species these days.
>Ukraine
>Western europe
>this triggers the redditor
couldn't take 10 seconds to google pics of Chernobyl before making this thread?
Real life isn't like fallout
>slavs
>convicts, criminals and all manner of assorted scum
>bloodsuckers
The moment a woman would set foot in the zone she'd become more cum than woman.
rape
I want to get into amateur game dev just to make something like this
why do weebs ruin everything
>Chernobyl
Fallout 3 is shit for a reason OP
It is not a nuclear wasteland, and radiation does not outright kill plants.
Neither do most mutants of anything.
Huh, it's almost as if it is based off of a place in the real world that is irradiated and still has vegetation. Hmmmmmmmmmmmm. Weird!
because they're like traps or girls, they need you to know what they're about
they cant just enjoy shit like normal humans
>indiscript western europe
You mean Pripyat, Ukraine?
>indiscript
>western
>I'm an expert in post nuclear disasters, despite being fucking retarded and having done zero research beside playing fallout.
lol, ok.
