Speccy Thread -show your rig

You DO have a gaming PC right? Noone should only play on consoles.

I was going to get a decent rig but I genuinely can't think of any recent PC games I want to play

Definitive multiplats. There's no going back to something like GTA on consoles after playing it 60+fps.

It's getting pretty old, but I've played a lot of console games lately so it works out.

Trying to figure out a Ryzen upgrade now, got $450 to spend

You should consider a 144hz monitor

I'll get a better GPU next year. 4k gaming is pretty sweet, but good framerates are a little too rare with this build.

I don't really play AAA multiplats at all, though

Here's my updated build.

It's good enough for me.

Next time I upgrade I'm gonna do an entire new build, but I'll keep this GPU for a little while.

I'm not made out of money.

...

No idea why my card is running at 60C idle. Might be related to my new third display? Doesn't really budge from there even in game though, so I guess it's alright.

I think I will need to get a new CPU, Motherboard, Ram soon.
Don't know why speccy thinks my motherboard is on fire though. Obviously it's fine since my CPU is nice and chill. Might be because I plugged in my CPU fan into the wrong socket on purpose for cable management. It's kinda retarded how there is a chasis fan socket next to the CPU, but the CPU socket is on the other side of the board.

>all the harddrivelets in this thread

My old mobo was like that - The temp sensors are just fucked is all.

I'm pretty sure it has to do with how I plugged in my fans. But you're probably right about the sensor too.

My father in law is trying to convince me to switch from nvidia shit to amd.

Should I listen to him? I gotta upgrade this old ass card and feel like doing a total overhaul while I'm at it.

Built this as my first self built, no idea how I managed to fuck up the motherboard to make it read those temps.

I can be bothered posting an image but I JUST installed a new heatsink/fan and my whole system is idling somewhere between 35-40 C, usually 35 if its doing nothing but web browsing. I don't know why. I'm afraid I fucked the install somehow even though nothing broke and the fan works.

I don't know what temperature ranges are considered 'dangerous' either, but my GPU (not cpu) moves up to 60ish C when playing Elite Dangerous but I haven't seen my CPU go above 50 C

...

Please, do not bully.

It's honestly a price point thing now.
Ryzen and the 4 series are comparable to Nvidia/intel stuff but at a much cheaper price.
Nvidia/intel still outperform (sometimes) though

GPUlets, swerve.

AMD is for poorfags with a budget, shell out the extra cash for Nvidia

970 sli is one of the worst setup you'd ever get
3.5 gb is a serious limit and nvidia barely supports sli anymore

but why spend more money tho

is there something objectively better about nvidia that makes it a better buy?

I don't intend to play shit at ultra 4k suk dik 3d goggle vr resolution, just lookin for something that doesn't lag and can play most games on high

can amd not do that?

on a 3gb 1060? you are joking right?

I play on an old toaster. I don't really like most AAA stuff and most of what I play on pc is either indy or emulation. The exception is Total War, but it doesn't bother me playing it on medium or low.
